Georgia May King (born 14 November 1986) is a Scottish actress.
King was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, the daughter of actor Jonathan Hyde and opera singer Isobel Buchanan. She went to Exeter School.
Although King grew up dreaming of being a director, she got her break into acting when she was eighteen and still working at a cheese shop, making her professional debut as Rosamond Oliver in Jane Eyre. She was nearly unable to play the role, however, "A week before the day she began filming, King felt stomach pains, then had her appendix rupture. Her agent told the producers that she was unlikely to recover from the operation to remove it for at least ten days." Another actress was cast, but King recovered in time and was able to get the required medical clearance to film.
She is best known as Goldie, a surrogate mother in the American sitcom, The New Normal. Formerly, she was well known for her acclaimed performance as the tyrannical head-girl Harriet Bentley in 2008's Wild Child, and as cruel, conniving Sophie in the 2009 slasher film, Tormented. Also in 2009 King received critical acclaim for her performance as the manipulative Victoria in the film Tanner Hall. She also performed in One Night in November at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, from October to November 2010, as well as being featured in the 2011 film Chalet Girl. Nothing is quite as it should be when the stars of NBC's comedy "The New Normal" drop by the Young Hollywood Studio! After Georgia King, Justin Bartha, and Andrew Rannells pull a switcheroo and begin interrogating our host, we address a few questions of our own, such as: What IS the "new normal" anyway? Is it okay to eat someone else's leftover room service? Should you keep rolling when the window shade falls off? And are Brits allowed to fist-bump? Hosted by Oliver Trevena (@olivertrevena).

I woke up not enough awake today, just to take in the smell of the fake red poinsettias,
Well, I'm well aware I'm treating life as a way to pass the time
It is never an effort to grin, to laugh, but it is laborious to live it like my last
See through me, see through me so see through, see me through
It's not the grave dates on the tomb, it's the short and sweet dash between the two,
But I swear sometimes, it's like I'm running on stumps
and I am still nowhere, so out of sorts. Always so short and sweet
I've swallowed too much concrete, my worst intentions got the best of me
I've been so hate savvy and I've lost my tongue to the biting
I shake from the rain in my knees, It never has the nerve not to pour.
Indian summer sunburns leave me lacking what I've learned, but I never forgot myself.
We've lost the brass that we were born with, we were bent to fit,
Bent to wear these wooden baskets. More to a whisper than a yell,
But we scream just to get the chills,
