This is the 5th and final game of a 5 game exhibition match between a team of Brazilian fistball players and a team of players from the United States. The US team is being coached by former Brazilian fistball coach and 17 time world champion, Gastao Englert. The match was played at Friends of Nature park in Jackson, Wisconsin with a modest crowd of about 80 spectators. Guarani had won games 1 through 4. The USFA is looking to grow the sport of fistball. Basic Fistball Rules: The ball must be played with a single arm or a closed fist and may not contact any other part of the player's body Maximum of 3 contacts per side A player is only allowed one contact of the ball each time his team defends The ball may bounce before each contact so long as it bounces within the boundary of the playing field Neither the ball nor the player may contact the net or poles at any time The ball must be hit over the net and either bounce in bounds or be contacted by an opposing player in order to score a point Games are played to 11 points rally scoring rules The team that lost the previous point must serve Serving takes place behind the 3 meter line When serving the server's first contact with the ground must be completely behind the 3 meter line Any player may serve, there is no rotation 5 players per side usually organized in a 'U' or 'X' like pattern The net is 2 meters high The playing field is the size of an olympic swimming pool
