Plot: Teenage Zef and little brother, Tutu, are two happy elephants. Who wouldn't be with the biggest backyard in the world to play in? - the wild plains of Africa. They merrily chase zebras, ostriches and warthogs, scarring them silly. There is a whole bunch of fun stuff to be doing and Zef is just the big brother to show Tutu how to get into all kinds of (mischievous) trouble. Until their mother and the family herd are taken from them in the dark of one dreadful night by The Badness. To cover up the truth of their fate from Tutu, Zef makes up a story about a rainbow taking their mum to the sky. Now, Tutu needs to find that rainbow and their mum. Zef wants to find a new herd, a new family. Their journey in search of both takes them on a high adventure - with the help of some ditsy rainbow Cranes, a very unusual vegetarian vulture and a few surprising types with some entertaining takes on the jungle. Along the way Zef and Tutu are joined by three other orphaned animals - Chump, a chimp insisting he is the King of the Jungle, Stretch, a very skittish giraffe and Cub, a Prince to the true jungle king. Together, this band of young African animals must find their way across unfamiliar, rugged terrain and face challenges like none they have known in their short lives. Challenges that test the brotherly love between Zef and Tutu as each insists on pursuing his own goal. Proving they have the stuff of all true heroes, the orphans rally around Tutu who believes the rainbow he is seeking is something they have to see with their heart and not their eyes. When they find the rainbow's end, they will find new families. Of this, Tutu is certain. All that finally stands between the animal band and the rainbow's end is The Badness that took their families. It is up to the orphans to stop The Badness from ever taking animal families again.

Quotes:
Interrogator: I don't give a shit how young you are. You throw a bomb at me, I'm going to kill you. You try to burn down my house, I'm going to kill you. You make war on my country, I'm going to kill you. You think you've got the whole of black Africa just waiting to roll on over us, eh? You try it. Just try it. We're ready for you.
Sarafina: Come on, Nelson. Why can't I be a star? What does a star do? Nothing. Look at the camera, flash! Smile at the camera, flash! Look at everybody, big eyes! Say nothing. Stars don't do, stars just be.
Preacher: They fear you because you are young. They fear you because you are the future. How fearful they must be that they shoot you children. How powerful you must be that they fear you so much. You are powerful because you are the generation that will be free. The violence, the beatings, the torture, the killings; all this is the birth pain of our free nation. Please God, may I live to see it. But if I don't, I see it now on your faces like the light of the rising sun, and my heart lifts within me, as if I, too, was young again. And I know, yes, I know freedom is coming tomorrow. May our children rest in peace. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

From cobra vs mongoose to lion vs tiger we countdown the top 10 biggest animal fights caught on camera.
Shocking fight, between a giraffe and a lion in the plains of
Africa, most would assume that the giraffe would be defeated easily by the king of the jungle. However, this is no jungle and the giraffe manages to use its long legs and high jumps to stomp the lion repeatedly, causing the giraffe to win the fight. In this amazing video, two rather small but deadly animals go head to head. The cobra and mongoose take shots at each other respectively. Until the mongoose gets a firm bite on the head of the poisonous snake, and making itself the unexpected winner. In this fight in the
Australian outback, a giant snake and a crocodile take each other on. At first the crocodile grabs the snake between its teeth. The python snake then coils itself around the crocodile, and strangling it. The fight lasted for hours, but the snake emerges victorious. In this shocking fight, a jaguar slowly emerges behind an unexacting crocodile in the wetlands of
Brazil. The jaguar sinks it teeth into the back of the crocodile in order to constrict the crocodile. The jaguar then carries off its prey, after the destruction it has just caused to the crocodile. In this video, a cobra snake has just discovered a nest of mongooses. As it plots to sliver in, a mongoose uses a tunnel to sneak up behind the snake a strike. The mongoose bites the snake in the head and they begin attacking each other. The snake then wraps up the mongoose in an attempt to strangle it.
However, the mongoose frees itself, and begins to take painful bites at the cobra, eventually killing it. In this video, a shark is peacefully swimming through ocean territory. However, it’s swim is interrupted when an octopus disguised as coral rises up and wraps its tentacles around the shark. The giant pacific octopus was able to easily defeat the shark in this unlikely match up, despite the octopus being far lower down in the food chain. During this animal fight between an hyena and a pack of lions, the hyena uses their amazing dexterity to run quickly away from the lion pack. However, the hyena was soon caught up to by the pack, as they surround it and begin to bite it. In this unlikely match-up, a cobra and an eagle to head to head. The eagle tries to use its size to stand and peck at the cobra. But the cobra fights back attempting to bite back. However, on one bite when the cobra’s mouth is open, the eagle strikes and bites the cobra in the mouth. In this wild battle, recorded deep in the jungle a tiger and a huge lion go head to head. The pair spend hours wrestling and biting one another to see who the real king of the jungle is. When suddenly the tiger rolls over in defeat, after hours of fighting with the massive lion. In this shocking piece of footage from
South Africa, a lion who is attacking a buffalo is suddenly changed at by 2 other buffalos. The lion is the launched
4 meters into the air by the giant male buffalo. The animals scuffled for a little while longer, but all walked away with no major injuries.
Despite this, we think it’s pretty safe to say that the buffalo won this round.

Crocodiles have more v-shaped snouts.

The conflict between humans and wildlife is a major conservation issue. Put simply, conflict reduces the value of wildlife to people. It may be through indirect conflict where people and wildlife are competing for the same resources, or it may be direct conflict where people are being attacked by wildlife. If conflict exceeds the tolerance of those affected, wildlife becomes a pest and efforts will be made to eradicate it. When crocodiles attack people and livestock, they risk falling into this category. Therefore reducing human-crocodile conflict (
HCC) is a priority for conservation. After all, it's difficult to convince people to conserve creatures that seriously affect their livelihoods or their lives.
The majority of crocodilian species do not pose a serious danger to people, although like any wild animals they will bite when provoked or surprised. However, a handful of species are undoubtedly potentially dangerous and combined are responsible for several hundred non-fatal and fatal attacks annually. It is counterproductive to hide this fact, and looking at the reasons behind attacks helps us to improve safety and hopefully convince people that crocodilians are worth keeping around.
We consider that crocodilian attacks on humans are largely preventable; the main cause of attack is a lack of awareness by the victim of the danger they put themselves in. After all, it's safe to assume that nobody ever intends to be attacked by a crocodilian. This is why education and awareness are critical. But it’s not that straightforward either.
Often people have no choice but to undertake potentially risky activities. Gathering food and water, for example, are essential daily activities that often put people directly into contact with areas where crocodilians are found.
People may be fully aware of the risk of encountering a crocodile, but accept that risk anyway. We all accept some level of risk in our daily lives, but the rewards usually make that risk worthwhile.
Driving a vehicle is a good example where we believe ourselves to be in control of the risk because accidents are infrequent in our experience, but the consequences can be severe. Our society has even come to accept that certain loss of life is the cost paid for, in this example, a transport network. We only really notice when it affects someone that we know. Yet we understand that these accidents are largely preventable, which is why road safety is such a priority for most countries. The same should be true for safety around crocodilians.
Attack statistics
Attacks on humans by crocodilians are, statistically speaking, extremely rare. For instance, going swimming in northern
Australia means you are roughly a hundred times more likely to drown than to be bitten by a crocodile. Furthermore, less than a third of such bites prove fatal. This is not to downplay the serious consequences of ignoring the risk, only to put that risk into context. Attacks occur because people assume there is no risk to them. The actual likelihood of being attacked and the consequences varies with context; the species present in an area, the type of habitat, the degree of contact between people and places where crocodiles are found, the activities being undertaken, and more.

Deadly Crocodiles of the Nile River - Nature Documentary
Deadly Crocodiles of the
Nile River -
Nature Documentary
The Nile crocodile has a somewhat deserved reputation as a vicious man-eater. The proximity of much of its habitat to people means run-ins are frequent. And its virtually indiscriminate diet means a villager washing clothes by a riverbank might look just as tasty as a migrating wildebeest.
Firm numbers are sketchy, but estimates are that up to
200 people may die each year in the jaws of a
Nile croc.
Africa's largest crocodilian, these primordial brutes reach a maximum size of about 20 feet (
6 meters) and can weigh up to 1,650 pounds (730 kilograms). Average sizes, though, are more in the range of 16 feet (5 meters) and
500 pounds (225 kilograms).
They live throughout sub-Saharan Africa, the
Nile Basin, and
Madagascar in rivers, freshwater marshes, and mangrove swamps.
The diet of the
Nile crocodile is mainly fish, but it will attack almost anything unfortunate enough to cross its path, including zebras, small hippos, porcupines, birds, and other crocodiles. It will also scavenge carrion, and can eat up to half its body weight at a feeding.
One unusual characteristic of this fearsome predator is its caring nature as a parent. Where most reptiles lay their eggs and move on, mother and father Nile crocs ferociously guard their nests until the eggs hatch, and they will often roll the eggs gently in their mouths to help hatching babies emerge.
Hunted close to extinction in the
1940s through the
1960s, local and international protections have helped them rebound in most areas. In some regions, though, pollution, hunting, and habitat loss have severely depleted their numbers.

Crocodiles (subfamily Crocodylinae) or true crocodiles are big marine reptiles that live throughout the tropics in
Africa,
Asia, the
Americas and
Australia. Crocodylinae, all of whose participants are considered true crocodiles, is identified as a biological subfamily. A more comprehensive feeling of the term crocodile, Crocodylidae that includes
Tomistoma, is not made use of in this article. The term crocodile here applies only to the species within the subfamily of Crocodylinae. The term is often made use of much more freely to consist of all extant members of the order
Crocodilia, which includes Tomistoma, the alligators and caimans (family Alligatoridae), the gharials (family members Gavialidae), and all various other living as well as fossil Crocodylomorpha.
Crocodile size, morphology, behavior and ecology somewhat differs in between types.
Nevertheless, they have numerous resemblances in these areas too. All crocodiles are semiaquatic and tend to congregate in freshwater habitats such as rivers, lakes, wetlands and sometimes in brackish water and deep sea. They are meat-eating animals, feeding primarily on vertebrates such as fish, reptiles, birds and mammals, and occasionally on invertebrates such as molluscs as well as crustaceans, depending on types and age. All crocodiles are exotic species that unlike alligators, are really sensitive to cool. They first divided from other crocodilians during the Eocene date, regarding 55 million years back. Numerous varieties go to the danger of extinction, some being categorized as critically endangered.
