In a world where the
Ocean speaks
... we will soon embark on a journey to a remote island in the
Eastern Solomons. For the 1st time ever, documenting a
Tribal Dolphin Clan's special cetacean bonds... linking us to our ancient past, so we can better care for the present!
This rare opportunity will include filming the Tribal clan's close spiritual bonds with wild dolphins, in a region of the world where most "
Island Clans" are often known for the opposite, mass slaughter of dolphins.
Will also capture the sustainable livelihood projects with the community's organic coconut oil production, sea cucumber restoration, and reef protection. These projects help support the women of the community, as well as the tribal clan.
Additionally, show how climate change is affecting their
island (grave sites covered in water from rising sea levels).
The footage will be used to create a documentary and entered into film festivals, as well as ocean conservation events and platforms. The non-profit, "
Oceans Watch" will have access to all the filmmaker's footage to use in continuing their environmental efforts and support on remote Island communities.
