Jay Treaty, also known as Jay's Treaty, The British Treaty, the Treaty of London of 1794, and officially the Treaty of Amity, Commerce, and Navigation, Between His Britannic Majesty and The United States of America, was a treaty between the United States and Great Britain that is credited with averting war, resolving issues remaining since the Treaty of Paris of 1783, which ended the American Revolution, and facilitating ten years of peaceful trade between the United States and Britain in the midst of the French Revolutionary Wars, which began in 1792.
The terms of the treaty were designed primarily by Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, strongly supported by the chief negotiator John Jay; and support from President George Washington. The treaty gained the primary American goals, which included the withdrawal of units of the British Army from pre-Revolutionary forts that it had failed to relinquish in the Northwest Territory of the United States (the area west of Pennsylvania and north of the Ohio River). (The British had recognized this area as American territory in the Treaty of Paris of 1783.) The parties agreed that disputes over wartime debts and the American-Canadian boundary were to be sent to arbitration—one of the first major uses of arbitration in diplomatic history. The Americans were granted limited rights to trade with British possessions in India and colonies in the Caribbean in exchange for some limits on the American export of cotton.
George Washington (February 22, 1732 [O.S. February 11, 1731] – December 14, 1799) was the first President of the United States of America, serving from 1789 to 1797, and the dominant military and political leader of the United States from 1775 to 1799. He led the American victory over Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army from 1775 to 1783, and presided over the writing of the Constitution in 1787. Washington became the first president, by unanimous choice, and oversaw the creation of a strong, well-financed national government that maintained neutrality in the wars raging in Europe, suppressed rebellion, and won acceptance among Americans of all types. His leadership style established many forms and rituals of government that have been used since, such as using a cabinet system and delivering an inaugural address. Washington is universally regarded as the "Father of his country."
(I'm your biggest fan, I'm your biggest fan,
I'm your, I'm your,
I'm your biggest fan, I'm your biggest fan,
I'm your, I'm your)
O-oh, o-oh, o-oh,
You'd be on my wall, you'd be on my t-shirt,
I'd sleep outside the mall, four days in a row,
Just to get your picture,
I'll be at your show tonight, like I was so many times, Many times befor-or-or-ore, (Yeah),
Hold your name up to the sky,
See you in the spotlight,
On every tour,
'Cause I'm your biggest fan,
Girl, don't you know that,
I'd travel round the world, just to have you closer,
And I will sing along, know your every song,
Hang on every word you say...
'Cause I'm your biggest fan,
Oh please believe me,
I'm right here in the front row, hope you'll see me,
'Cause I will sing along, 'til the curtain falls,
Until the music fades.
(I'm your biggest fan, I'm your biggest fan,
I'm your, I'm your,
I'm your biggest fan, I'm your biggest fan,
I'm your, I'm your)
Baby, you're a star, everything I dream of,
Mo matter where you are, it won't be too far,
I just wanna meet ya, (ooh o-ooh-oh)
I'll be at your show tonight, like I was so many times,
Many times befor-or-or-ore, (yeah)
Hold your name up to the sky,
See you in the spotlight,
Screaming for mor-ore,
'Cause I'm your biggest fan,
Girl, don't you know that,
I'd travel round the world, just to have you closer,
And I will sing along, know your every song,
Hang on every word you say...
'Cause I'm your biggest fan,
Oh please believe me,
I'm right here in the front row, hope you'll see me,
'Cause I will sing along, 'til the curtain falls,
Until the music fades.
If you're the biggest fan now, let me see you dance now,
Go and put your hands up (Hands up, hands up),
If you're the biggest fan now, let me see you dance now,
Go and put your hands up (Hands up, hands up),
'Cause I'm your biggest fan,
Girl, don't you know that,
I'd travel round the world, just to have you closer,
