Toxik is an American thrash metal band from Peekskill, New York. The band plays a style of thrash metal with elements of progressive metal, which would later be named "progressive thrash metal". Initially active from 1985 to 1992, the band reformed in 2007.
Toxik was formed in 1985 by Joshua Christian and Lee Erwin under the name "Toyko". The band was forced to change its name due to the threat of legal action from a band who had already registered the name. The band's original four-piece lineup which, because it occurred before the name change, was known as the Tokyo line up, consisted of Michael Sanders (vocals), Josh Christian (guitar), Lee Erwin (bass) and Sal Dadabo (drums). However, the line up did not remain stable, plaguing the band with line-up changes into the following year. During the same year, the band's original bassist, Lee Erwin, left Toxik citing personal reasons, to be replaced by Brian Bonini. Additionally, Sal Dadabo, the band's original drummer, was offered a touring contract with Twisted Sister and left Toxik to be replaced by Tad Leger. These new changes would become the band's new line-up.
Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, record producer, and actor. He rose to fame with the release of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) and The Massacre (2005). His album Get Rich or Die Tryin' has been certified eight times platinum by the RIAA.
Born in the South Jamaica of Queens, New York City, Jackson began drug dealing at the age of twelve during the 1980s crack epidemic. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he was shot at and struck by nine bullets during an incident in 2000. After releasing his album Guess Who's Back? in 2002, Jackson was discovered by rapper Eminem and signed to Interscope Records. With the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre, who produced his first major commercial successes, Jackson became one of the world's highest selling rappers. In 2003, he founded the record label G-Unit Records, which signed several successful rappers such as Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo.
These voices in my head they say
Just what they want to say
They taunt me in my sleep
They want me to kill their way
Violent spirit inside of me
Many voices yell
From where, I can't tell
They seem to come from inside of me.
I try to shut them out
But then they really shout
They're ripping something from me
Evil thoughts possess my brain
Out, get them out, out,
Get them out,
Voices,##Voices,
Voices,##Voices,
Voices,##Voices,
##Got to get them out
These voices run my life
They make me walk out through the night
Vicious bidding I must do
Insane, I snuff the child's lights
Mind of death runs me now
Fight, claw, grasp ## You won't know
It's time to die ## Till its to late
God's first law ## Wild eyed fiend
But I defy ## Seals your fate
Voices tell me ## Feel my hand
How to kill ## Around about
I'm their tool ## God please help
I do their will ## Get them out
In my mind I'm still here
Unwilling monster disappear
I can't go on with this charade
From my wrists, blood cascades
Free from them, they're finally out
Out, get them out,
