Romero is one of the surname that were been given by the Spaniards during the Spanish colonial era in the Philippines and the rest of other colonial nations in order to avoid confusions and technically, as a replacement of the indigenous surnames that were difficult to pronounce among Spaniards, altogether with the Catholic conversions as well. Majority of the ethnic Filipinos did not inherit their Spanish surnames, but obtained them for colonial purposes.

As a soloist Pepe Romero has appeared in the United States, Canada, Europe, China, and many countries around the world with the London, Toronto, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Houston, Pittsburgh, Boston, San Francisco and Dallas symphony orchestras, as well as with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the New York, Bogotá and Los Angeles philharmonic orchestras, the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, I Musici, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Philharmonia Hungarica, the Hungarian State Orchestra, the Spanish National Orchestra, the Spanish National Radio/Television Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the New Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the American Sinfonietta, and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The Romeros

Los Romeros, The Romero Guitar Quartet, is a guitar quartet, sometimes known as "The Royal Family of the Guitar" — their personnel consists entirely of members of the Romero family.

The quartet was founded in 1960 by Celedonio Romero, who grew up in Franco's Spain. All three of his sons, Angel, Celin and Pepe, had made their performing debuts by the time they were seven. In 1957, the Romeros moved to the United States, where they continue to reside. In 1990 Angel left the quartet, and was replaced by Celin's son Celino. Celedonio Romero died in 1996, and was replaced by Angel's son Lito.

Il campanello

Il campanello or Il campanello di notte (The Night Bell) is a melodramma giocoso, or opera, in one act by Gaetano Donizetti. The composer wrote the Italian libretto after Mathieu-Barthélemy Troin Brunswick and Victor Lhérie's French vaudeville La sonnette de nuit. The premiere took place on 1 June 1836 at the Teatro Nuovo in Naples and was "revived every year over the next decade".

Performance history

The opera was presented in Italian at the Lyceum Theatre in London on 6 June 1836 and in English on 9 March 1841. It was also given in English in 1870. It was first performed in Italian in the US in Philadelphia on 25 October 1861; this production went on to New York three days later. An English translation was seen in that city on 7 May 1917.

While today it is very rarely presented, it was given in an English translation by the Santa Fe Opera in 2007 as part of a pre-season "One Hour Opera" series presented in town.

In 2015, Enrique parted ways with Universal music group after a decade. He signed for Sony Music and it has been reported that it is one of the biggest contracts offered to any artist in recent years in terms of advances and royalties. His upcoming albums will be by Sony Music Latin in Spanish and RCA in English.
