Graeme Charles Edge (born 30 March 1941) is an English musician best known as the drummer and a songwriter for the English band, The Moody Blues. Edge is the only remaining original member of The Moody Blues still performing in the band. In addition to his work with the Moody Blues, Edge has worked as the bandleader of his own outfit, the Graeme Edge Band. He has contributed his talents to a variety of other projects throughout his career. He currently resides on the waterfront in Bradenton, Florida.
One of the original members of The Moody Blues, drummer Edge provided a foundation for the original R&B and rock flavoured band fronted by Denny Laine, playing on all their Decca singles including the UK chart topping "Go Now" (January 1965), and other 1965 hit songs; "I Don't Want To Go On Without You", "Everyday", and "From The Bottom of my Heart (I Love You)", which were additionally released in that year.
After the departure of Laine and bassist Clint Warwick and the later recruitment of Justin Hayward and John Lodge in 1966 the band continued initially to play the R&B style material, however after an irate fan dismissed their concert performance as poor Edge is quoted as speaking up to say to his bandmates: "That guy was right...we WERE rubbish!" leading the band to decide henceforth to drop the blues style covers and begin writing and recording their own songs only.
The Moody Blues are an English rock band. They first came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music, but their second album, Days of Future Passed, which was released in 1967, was a fusion of rock with classical music and established them as pioneers in the development of art rock and progressive rock. It has been described as a "landmark" and "one of the first successful concept albums". They became known internationally with singles including "Go Now", "Nights in White Satin", "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Question". They have been awarded 18 platinum and gold discs. Their album sales total 70 million.
As of 2015 they remain active with one member from the original 1964 band (drummer Graeme Edge) and two more from the 1966 lineup (bassist John Lodge and lead singer and guitarist Justin Hayward).
The Moody Blues formed on 4 May 1964, in Erdington, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Ray Thomas, a juvenile John Lodge and (occasionally) Mike Pinder had been members of El Riot & the Rebels. They disbanded when Lodge, the youngest member, went to technical college and Pinder joined the army. Pinder then rejoined Thomas to form the Krew Cats. Back from a disappointing spell in the Hamburg region a few months later, the pair recruited guitarist/vocalist Denny Laine, band manager-turned-drummer Graeme Edge and bassist Clint Warwick. The five appeared as the Moody Blues for the first time in Birmingham in 1964. The name developed from a hoped-for sponsorship from the M&B Brewery which failed to materialise, the band calling themselves both "The M Bs" and "The M B Five" and was also a subtle reference to the Duke Ellington song, "Mood Indigo". Around this time the band were the resident group at the Carlton Ballroom, later to become rock music venue Mothers on Erdington High Street.

This is a newly uploaded copy to replace the original version (which became corrupted). This rare song was on the flip side of "Everybody Needs Somebody" but was not included on the Paradise Ballroom album by the Graeme Edge Band. It was included on the original CD but has not appeared on subsequent 'European' reissues. Adrian Gurvitz of the Baker Gurvitz Army is on lead vocals. This is a slide show tribute to Graeme. From 1992, The Moody Blues live on Court TV as they battled ex-keyboardist Patrick Moraz over his claim they'd shortchanged him during the years he was with the band. Outside the O.J. Simpson trial, perhaps the best thing CTV ever produced. Edited from over 11 hours of often unintentionally hilarious and revealing testimony as to the inner workings of a Rock and Roll band. This version features the testimony of the four original band members, Justin Hayward,John Lodge,Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge.

This is the product of a labor of love for one of the greatest bands in the history of Rock and Roll. Incredibly talented individually, something magical happens when Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas, Graeme Edge, John Lodge, and Justin Hayward come together. These tracks, mostly culled from solo efforts of the last twenty years, transform into something even greater when put together in the style of a classic Moodies album. I had a blast making this, and I hope you enjoy it.* *(And please forgive me decisions I made in the interest of album flow, including leaving out phenomenal tracks and editing some of the songs included here.) No copyright infringement intended. Rather, my hope is that this imaginary album will lead people to the actual albums on which the tracks appear; I’ve included links ...

Gew Janna heavy woman makes me feel so cold
Gew Janna's sister Anna somethin' she sold
Those memories always flowing flying so real
Orbit me high Gew Janna until until until I
Until I die
Gew Janna why did you leave me
Do do me magic lover do do me well
Laid back with sweat and waiting release my hell
Hell ain't the kind of feeling I want to feel
Orbit me high Gew Janna until until until I
Until I die
Gew Janna why did you leave me
And then I saw a vision of the world before me
Like a dream I dreamed a million times
And the thrill when I was there
Believe me I was high so high
Repeat 1st verse
