Uitgevoerd door Niels de Klerk op het enorme Steinmeyer- orgel in de Nidaros Kathedraal in Trondheim. Dit is lang geen perfecte uitvoering, maar vanwege het orgel upload ik hem toch. Zonder dat veel mensen dit weten is dit een van de allergrootste (en wat mij betreft ook mooiste) instrumenten van Europa. Het heeft maar liefst 127 registers!
Het was zitten en spelen, er was geen tijd om registraties uit te zoeken. In de eerste 20 seconden zit dus ook al een behoorlijke misser.
Aan het eind van de video hoor je goed de Tuba (het felle tongwerk), deze komt in werkelijkheid van boven: hij staat op hoge druk in het dak van de kerk. Dit geeft een fantastisch effect.
Mijn zeer hartelijke dank aan de kathedraal-organist die hiervoor de mogelijkheid gaf en constant erbij bleef om te registeren.

Åsane Seahawks har returoppgjør "hjemme" mot Nidaros, i Lillestrøm. Forrige ukes oppgjør mot Domers, i Trondheim, endte i Seahawks sitt første serietap siden april 2013, da de fikk 36 poeng imot og ingen for. Vi vet at hjemmebanefordelen er tydelig i norsk amerikansk fotball, kan Seahawks dra nytte av denne også i Lillestrøm?

Nidaros
Nidaros, Niðarós or Niðaróss was the medieval name of Trondheim in Norway, when it was the capital of the country's first Christian kings. It was named for its position at the mouth (Old Norse: óss) of the River Nid (today's Nidelva).
Although the capital was later moved to Oslo, Nidaros remained the centre of Norway's spiritual life until the Protestant Reformation. The archdiocese of Nidaros was separated from Lund in Scania by the papal legate Nicholas Breakspeare in 1152 and the shrine of Saint Olaf in Nidaros Cathedral was Northern Europe's most important pilgrimage site during the Middle Ages. Archbishop Olav Engelbrektsson served as a leader of Norway in attempting to resist the Danish Reformation but was forced into exile by King Christian III in 1537. The archdiocese was abolished and replaced with a Lutheran superintendenture.
Pre-Reformation
The Christianization of Norway was begun by Haakon the Good (d. 961), and carried on by Olaf Trygvesson (d. 1000) and Saint Olaf Haraldsson (d. 1030), two Vikings who had converted and been baptized at Andover in England and at Rouen in Normandy respectively.

Aan het eind van de video hoor je goed de Tuba (het felle tongwerk), deze komt in werkelijkheid van boven: hij staat op hoge druk in het dak van de kerk. Dit geeft een fantastisch effect.

Uitgevoerd door Niels de Klerk op het enorme Steinmeyer- orgel in de Nidaros Kathedraal in Trondheim. Dit is lang geen perfecte uitvoering, maar vanwege het orgel upload ik hem toch. Zonder dat veel mensen dit weten is dit een van de allergrootste (en wat mij betreft ook mooiste) instrumenten van Europa. Het heeft maar liefst 127 registers!
