Yogeshwar Dutt (born 2 November 1982) is an Indian wrestler from Haryana. He won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's 60kg Freestyle wrestling. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013. He won Gold Medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow. Recently, he has been clubbed into the ‘Icon’ category by Haryana Hammers– one of the six teams playing under the first edition of Pro Wrestling League (PWL), which will be held from 10 December to 27 December in six Indian cities.
He started wrestling from a very young age of 8 years. His inspiration was Balraj Pehlwan who was from his native village and he was trained under the guidance of coach Ralph.
Yogeshwar Dutt won the Gold Medal in the 2003 Common wealth Games.
At the Athens Olympics, Dutt took part in Men's freestyle 55 kg and stood 18th.
Yogeshwar had lost his father on 3 August 2006 just nine days before he boarded the flight to Doha for the Asian Games. He also sustained a knee injury, but despite all the emotional and physical trauma he managed to win the bronze in the 60 kilogram category at the 15th Asian Games at Doha.
