Medina (/məˈdiːnə/; Arabic: المدينة المنورة, al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah, "the radiant city"; or المدينة, al-Madīnah, "the city"), also transliterated as Madīnah, is a city in the Hejaz, and the capital of the Al Madinah Region of Saudi Arabia. The city contains al-Masjid an-Nabawi ("the Prophet's Mosque"), which is the burial place of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and is the second-holiest city in Islam after Mecca.
Medina was Muhammad's destination after his Hijrah from Mecca, and became the capital of a rapidly increasing Muslim Empire, first under Muhammad's leadership, and then under the first four Rashidun caliphs, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali. It served as the power base of Islam in its first century where the early Muslim community developed. Medina is home to the three oldest mosques, namely the Quba Mosque, al-Masjid an-Nabawi, and Masjid al-Qiblatayn ("the mosque of the two qiblas"). Muslims believe that the chronologically final surahs of the Quran were revealed to Muhammad in Medina, and are called Medinan surahs in contrast to the earlier Meccan surahs.
Saudi Arabia (i/ˌsɔːdiː əˈreɪbiə/, i/ˌsaʊ-/), officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), is an Arab state in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. With a land area of approximately 2,150,000 km2 (830,000 sq mi), Saudi Arabia is geographically the second-largest state in the Arab world after Algeria. Saudi Arabia is bordered by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, and Yemen to the south. It is the only nation with both a Red Sea coast and a Persian Gulf coast, and most of its terrain consists of arid inhospitable desert or barren landforms.
The area of modern-day Saudi Arabia formerly consisted of four distinct regions: Hejaz, Najd, and parts of Eastern Arabia (Al-Ahsa) and Southern Arabia ('Asir). The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932 by Ibn Saud. He united the four regions into a single state through a series of conquests beginning in 1902 with the capture of Riyadh, the ancestral home of his family, the House of Saud. The country has since been an absolute monarchy, effectively a hereditary dictatorship governed along Islamic lines. The ultra-conservative Wahhabism religious movement within Sunni Islam has been called "the predominant feature of Saudi culture", with its global spreading largely financed by the oil and gas trade. Saudi Arabia is sometimes called "the Land of the Two Holy Mosques" in reference to Al-Masjid al-Haram (in Mecca), and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (in Medina), the two holiest places in Islam. The Kingdom has a total population of 28.7 million, of which 20 million are Saudi nationals and 8 million are foreigners.
Quantum Method Realization Course All of us would like to become Superman, or Insan-E-Kamel. We would like to transform suffering into joy, disease into health, and scarcity into prosperity. But very few of us know the natural law for creating spontaneous torrents of joy or creating a truly prosperous life. We want to be one with God, Allah, the Creator, or the Universal Life Force and surrender to Him. We want to pray, worship, or ibadat with devotion but we cannot. Yet throughout history, there have been prophets, rishis, sufis, monks and holy-men who were indeed supermen. They found the secret to ending suffering and creating lasting joy. With them, those suffering found relief, those lacking found prosperity, and those diseased found health. Often, pain evaporated with a single tou...

The birthplace and spiritual home of Islam, Saudi Arabia is as rich in attractions as it is in stirring symbolism. It is also one of the most difficult places on earth to visit. For those who do get in, rock-hewn Madain Saleh is Arabia's greatest treasure. Other wonders abound, from the echoes of TE Lawrence along the Hejaz Railway to the mudbrick ruins of Dir'aiyah. Jeddah, gateway to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, has an enchanting old city made of coral, while the Red Sea coast has world-class diving. Elsewhere, this is a land of astonishing natural beauty, particularly the plunging landscapes of the Asir Mountains in the Kingdom's southwest. Best of all, there are few places left that can be said to represent the last frontier of tourism. Whether you're an expat or a pilgrim, Sau...
Mecca, the holiest city in Islam is only 70 km from Jeddah where I was staying for a few weeks. Mecca is where Prophet Mohammed was born and where the Quoran was composed. I was surprised to see that Mecca was actually a big city, in my mind, I always thought that it was a small holy place with the Kabaa. The Kabaa is a cubical shaped building, covered with a beautiful black cloth embroidered with gold Quranic verses. All Muslims around the world face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are When performing piligrimage, Muslims walk around the Kaaba 7 times while reciting verses. When reaching the spot of the Black Stone (in the eastern corner of the kabaa), the piligrims salute it. It is believed that this stone fell from Heaven. the piligrims also drink ZamZam water, the hol...

Travel video about destination Marrakesh in Morocco. Marrakesh, the 'red pearl' of Morocco was founded by Yusuf ibn Tashfin in 1062. It is one of the country's four Royal Cities. Up to the beginning of the 20th century, the city was a trading centre for both the north of Morocco and the Sahara and the monarchs of various dynasties made Marrakesh their capital city. The large souks of Marrakesh's Medina are divided into numerous sections and stock just about everything known to man! In spite of the city's apparent calm, there is much activity and the traffic is surprisingly well disciplined. Marrakesh has the largest souks in Morocco. As well as shoes and clothing, they stock all the necessities of life and of course, bargaining and haggling are the norm! Daily life in the souks is domi...

Alhumdulilah Allah blessed me again to visit the city of RasoolAllah (saw) - Madina. This vlog is when I went on ZIyarah of Madina. We visited Masjid Qiblatain, Masjid Quba and Mount Uhud. My tip for Ziyarah in both Makkah & Madina would be to book it yourself. try and find a english/urdu speaking guide who will take you on the tour of Madina. This way you have your own time to do what you wish, to see the places, spend time observing these blessed places and not be rushed. In my experience the Ziyarah you get with your packages (from UK) are very rushed. The driver most of the time is Saudi and does not understand English or any other language so it is hard to communicate. The whole ziyarah is rushed and most of the time its in the Mini Van (esp in Makkah - where we were t...
Travel video about destination Casablanca in Morocco. Casablanca, a city of many faces, Oriental yet modern. From being a former Berber settlement to today's commercial metropolis, around 80 percent of Moroccan industry is concentrated in Casablanca, the country's financial, technological and commercial centre and also Africa's largest seaport. Jutting into the sea is the Hassan II Mosque. 'It was He who created Heaven and Earth in six days!', this paragraph from the Koran inspired Hassan II to build his momentous mosque that extends for nine hectares, a superlative construction that could comfortably accommodate the entire Petersdom in Rome. Casablanca is a large city surrounded by many ancient villages where life has changed little since ancient times. The Stade Mohammed V is the cen...
