Saudi Arabia police cut off a woman's head in the street as she begged for mercy and told them they are committing a sin.
The man who filmed the beheading was actually taking part in the death sentence of a woman who was convicted of killing a child. At least 10 people have already been executed in 2015. And in 2014 we saw a 5 year high - over 80 beheadings. The thing is these executions happen all the time and for what many would consider no crime at all. People get beheaded for sorcery, women jailed for driving and posting online. But this draws no international condemnation. Why? John Wight says it’s simple: Money.

This video: this is the story of Abdallah Al-Bishi, the Arabian Executioner --that's right, the guy who chops people's heads off with his sword. Here he talks of his job, its required skills, its stresses and its challenges. He shows off his beheading swords, and he remembers the day he went to watch his dad (whose job was also beheading convicts) at work , how he saw a big black hole where the prisoner's head used to be, and how that became the turning point of his life. And he speaks of his own son, Badr, who is now in 'training' to follow the father's career path.

Deera Square
Deera Square (sometimes transliterated Dira Square; Arabic: ساحة الصفاة) is a public space in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in which public executions (usually by beheading) take place. It is sometimes known as Justice Square or Chop Chop Square.
After Friday prayers, police and other officials clear the area to make way for the execution to take place. After the beheading of the condemned, the head is stitched to the body and the body is wrapped up for the final rites and taken away.

The man who filmed the beheading was actually taking part in the death sentence of a woman who was convicted of killing a child. At least 10 people have already been executed in 2015. And in 2014 we saw a 5 year high - over 80 beheadings. The thing is these executions happen all the time and for what many would consider no crime at all. Here he talks of his job, its required skills, its stresses and its challenges. He shows off his beheading swords, and he remembers the day he went to watch his dad (whose job was also beheading convicts) at work , how he saw a big black hole where the prisoner's head used to be, and how that became the turning point of his life. And he speaks of his own son, Badr, who is now in 'training' to follow the father's career path.
