Russia warns over new
U.N. resolution on
Libya
Russia said on Tuesday it will not support any
United Nations Security Council resolutions on Libya which could escalate the conflict. "If a resolution leads to a further escalation of a civil war by any means, including outside intervention, we will not be able to support this,"
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was quoted.
Russia, a veto-wielding permanent
U.N. Security Council member, abstained last month from the vote on a resolution authorizing force to protect civilians in Libya by enforcing a no-fly zone. But Russia's leaders have repeatedly criticized the extent of the coalition operation.

Guantánamo Bay terrorists radicalised in
London to attack
Western targets
Abu Qatada and Abu
Hamza, two preachers who lived off state benefits after claiming asylum, are identified by the
American authorities as the key recruiters responsible for sending dozens of extremists from throughout the world to
Pakistan and Afghanistan via London mosques.
Finsbury Park mosque, in north London, is described as a "haven" for extremists.
United States intelligence officials concluded the mosque served as "an attack planning and propaganda production base".
The Government has paid millions of pounds in compensation and benefits to people regarded as highly dangerous by the US authorities.
Qatada, who was paid compensation under human rights laws for being "unfairly detained", is described as "the most successful recruiter in
Europe" and a "focal
point for extremist fundraising [and] recruitment". Hamza is accused of encouraging "his followers to murder non-Muslims".

Announcing '
The Armed Forces
Family Aid
Concert,'
April 29th -- May 1st
A tremendously important story has gone virtually untold by the media, ignored by our political leaders, and unknown to the American public.
Despite the extraordinarily high price they have paid,
America's severely wounded veterans are enduring humiliating financial hardships of epic proportions.
Home evictions, utility shutoffs, car repossessions, and foreclosures are commonplace.
"The Armed Forces Family Aid Concert" seeks to benefit those families suffering severe financial hardship.
The concert is scheduled to take place April 29th through May 1st on a 40 acre farm outside of
Dayton, Ohio. Bands from across America and of all music backgrounds (rock, country, rap, blues, etc) will be performing, including Congressman
Thad McCotter (
R-MI) and his band, The
Flying Squirrels!
