Today's Daily Dose short history film covers the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798, which proved to be the downfall of John Adams' presidency. The filmmaker has included the original voice over script to further assist your understanding: Today on The Daily Dose, The Alien and Sedition Acts.
In 1794, when Federalist President George Washington signed a proclamation of neutrality during a war between England and France, the Jay Treaty would improve relations with England while angering the French. When James Monroe and two other diplomats sailed to France to negotiate for peace, French politicians known as XYZ demanded a bribe before negotiations could begin, which infuriated the young American republic to no end. By the time John Adams was sworn in as the second U.S. president in 1796, France had seized more than 300 American ships, leading many to believe or insist that war with France was eminent and unavoidable. Amid mounting fears of enemy spies infiltrating American society, the majority Federalist Party, who supported a strong central government, prevailed over the minority Republican or Jeffersonian Party in passing four new laws, which collectively became known as the Alien and Sedition Acts.
Since many recent immigrants and new citizens favored the Republicans and their insistence that power remain with the individual states, Congress passed the Naturalization Act, which increased residency requirements for U.S. citizenship from five years to fourteen. The Alien Enemies Act went on to permit the government to arrest and deport all males citizens of enemy nations in the event of war, while the Alien Friends Act allowed the president to deport any non-citizen suspected of plotting against the government, even if the country was not at war. The Sedition Act, on the other hand, took direct aim at anyone who spoke ill against President Adams or the Federalist-dominated government, effectively muzzling descent from the Republican side of the aisle. While Republican lawmakers complained that the Sedition Act violated the First Amendment freedom of speech clause in the Constitution, the Federalist pushed the bill through Congress, which was signed into law by Adams on July 14th, 1798, with an expiration date set for March 3, 1801, which was the last day of his term of office.
By the law’s expiration, U.S. federal courts prosecuted no less than 26 individuals under the Sedition Act—nearly all of them editors of Republican newspapers who opposed the Adams administration. The prosecutions fueled fierce debate over the definition and meaning of a free press, as well as the rights that should be afforded to political opposition parties in the United States. In the end, widespread anger over the Alien and Sedition Acts fueled Jefferson’s victory over Adams in the bitterly contested presidential election of 1800, while their passage would go down in history as one of the biggest mistakes of the Adams presidency. By 1802, all of the Alien and Sedition Acts had either expired or been repealed, save for the Alien Enemies Act, which was amended by Congress in 1918 to include women.

Before watching this movie, I should point out that this movie is made from a combination of many CGI scenes with a remote collaboration between me in the south of Iran and my team in the US. Due to this limitation of a remote work everything happened on stage not based on a pre-designed film production. This was a solution and a new way for me to gain a new experience by working remotely in a large scale of film making without a script. Maybe some part of the film's gaps are due to the impossibility of controlling everything on the set remotely. I made this movie with a low budget based on using 90% of visual effects on green screen footage which was sent by my team in America. Most the close-up, medium and the long shots are CGI created only using a GTX 560 Ti 2GB graphics card which caused many limitation in 3D rendering of 200000 CGI frame with sophisticated vfx techniques for this movie by me. You can see all the behind the scenes of this movie on my Instagram how I made Aliens Reaction with very few features as an independent filmmaker without financial sponsors.

Alien (creature in Alien franchise)
The "Alien" (also referred to as a "Xenomorph") is a fictional endoparasitoid extraterrestrial arthropodal species that is the eponymous antagonist of the Alien film series. The species made its debut in the film Alien (1979), and reappeared in the sequels Aliens (1986), Alien 3 (1992), and Alien: Resurrection (1997), as well as the crossover franchise Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007). A similar creature of a slightly different design also briefly appears in the Ridley Scott film Prometheus (2012). In addition, the Alien appears in various literature and video game spin-offs from the franchises.
Unlike many other extraterrestrial races in science fiction, the Aliens lack a technological civilization and are predatory creatures with no higher goals than the propagation of their species and the ultimate destruction of lifeforms that could pose a threat to them. Like wasps or termites, Aliens are eusocial, with a single fertile queen breeding a caste of warriors. The Aliens' biological life cycle involves traumatic implantation of endoparasitoid larvae inside living hosts; these larvae erupt from the host's chest or intestines after a short incubation period, rapidly mature from juvenile into adulthood, and seek out more hosts for implantation.

Alien 4 (album)
Alien 4 is the twentieth studio album by the English space rock group Hawkwind, released in 1995.
At the end of 1994, with the group established as a three piece of guitarist Dave Brock, bassist Alan Davey and drummer Richard Chadwick, they felt they were lacking visually in terms of showmanship. Ron Tree, who had been involved with groups in the English free-festival scene, had offered his services and the group accepted them. In addition, guitarist Jerry Richards, another musician involved in the English free-festival scene as a member of the group Tubilah Dog, started contributing to some live dates and recording sessions.
This new line-up undertook a 13 date North America tour in April 1995, then recorded a BBC Radio 1 session on 27 July at Maida Vale Studios.
The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in the summer, and the Area S4 EP featuring a "Roswell Mix" of "Alien (I Am)" was issued. "Death Trap" is a re-recording of the song from their 1978 album PXR5. "Wastelands" is a re-recording of "Wastelands Of Sleep" from their 1988 album The Xenon Codex. "Are You Losing Your Mind?" is a re-recording of "The Iron Dream" from their 1977 album Quark, Strangeness and Charm with new spoken words.

Cosmos (2015 film)
Cosmos is a 2015 French-Portuguese film directed by Andrzej Żuławski. It tells the story of two friends who spend time at a countryside guesthouse where they discover mysterious and frightening signs. The film is based on the novel Cosmos by Witold Gombrowicz. The filmmakers label it as a "metaphysical noir thriller".
The film premiered in competition at the Locarno International Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Direction.

Production
Cosmos was Andrzej Żuławski's first film in 15 years. It was produced through Paulo Branco's Alfama Films in collaboration with the Portuguese company Leopardo Filmes. Principal photography took place from mid-November to late December 2014.

Synopsis: Based on the Dark Horse comic, SYFY’s RESIDENT ALIEN follows Harry, an alien played by Alan Tudyk (“Rogue One,” “Firefly”) that crash lands on Earth and passes himself off as a small-town human doctor. Arriving with a secret mission, Harry starts off living a simple life…but things get a bit rocky when he’s roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does so, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and asking the big life questions like: “Are human beings worth saving?” and “Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?”

What if there was a museum that contained every type of life form in the universe? This experience takes you on a tour through the possible forms alien life might take, from the eerily familiar to the utterly exotic, ranging from the inside of the Earth to the most hostile corners of the universe.
New research is upending our idea of life and where it could be hiding: not just on Earth-like planets, where beings could mimic what our planet has produced, but in far flung places like the hearts of dead stars and the rings of gas giant planets. Nowhere in the universe is off limits.
Only when we know what else is out there will we truly know ourselves. This thought experiment will give us a glimpse into what could be out there, how we might find it, and just how far nature’s imagination might stretch.

In 1794, when Federalist President George Washington signed a proclamation of neutrality during a war between England and France, the Jay Treaty would improve relations with England while angering the French. When James Monroe and two other diplomats sailed to France to negotiate for peace, French politicians known as XYZ demanded a bribe before negotiations could begin, which infuriated the young American republic to no end. By the time John Adams was sworn in as the second U.S. president in 1796, France had seized more than 300 American ships, leading many to believe or insist that war with France was eminent and unavoidable. Amid mounting fears of enemy spies infiltrating American society, the majority Federalist Party, who supported a strong central government, prevailed over the minority Republican or Jeffersonian Party in passing four new laws, which collectively became known as the Alien and Sedition Acts.
Since many recent immigrants and new citizens favored the Republicans and their insistence that power remain with the individual states, Congress passed the Naturalization Act, which increased residency requirements for U.S. citizenship from five years to fourteen. The Alien Enemies Act went on to permit the government to arrest and deport all males citizens of enemy nations in the event of war, while the Alien Friends Act allowed the president to deport any non-citizen suspected of plotting against the government, even if the country was not at war. The Sedition Act, on the other hand, took direct aim at anyone who spoke ill against President Adams or the Federalist-dominated government, effectively muzzling descent from the Republican side of the aisle. While Republican lawmakers complained that the Sedition Act violated the First Amendment freedom of speech clause in the Constitution, the Federalist pushed the bill through Congress, which was signed into law by Adams on July 14th, 1798, with an expiration date set for March 3, 1801, which was the last day of his term of office.
By the law’s expiration, U.S. federal courts prosecuted no less than 26 individuals under the Sedition Act—nearly all of them editors of Republican newspapers who opposed the Adams administration. The prosecutions fueled fierce debate over the definition and meaning of a free press, as well as the rights that should be afforded to political opposition parties in the United States. In the end, widespread anger over the Alien and Sedition Acts fueled Jefferson’s victory over Adams in the bitterly contested presidential election of 1800, while their passage would go down in history as one of the biggest mistakes of the Adams presidency. By 1802, all of the Alien and Sedition Acts had either expired or been repealed, save for the Alien Enemies Act, which was amended by Congress in 1918 to include women.

By the law’s expiration, U.S. federal courts prosecuted no less than 26 individuals under the Sedition Act—nearly all of them editors of Republican newspapers who opposed the Adams administration. The prosecutions fueled fierce debate over the definition and meaning of a free press, as well as the rights that should be afforded to political opposition parties in the United States. In the end, widespread anger over the Alien and Sedition Acts fueled Jefferson’s victory over Adams in the bitterly contested presidential election of 1800, while their passage would go down in history as one of the biggest mistakes of the Adams presidency. By 1802, all of the Alien and Sedition Acts had either expired or been repealed, save for the Alien Enemies Act, which was amended by Congress in 1918 to include women.

I made this movie with a low budget based on using 90% of visual effects on green screen footage which was sent by my team in America. Most the close-up, medium and the long shots are CGI created only using a GTX 560 Ti 2GB graphics card which caused many limitation in 3D rendering of 200000 CGI frame with sophisticated vfx techniques for this movie by me. You can see all the behind the scenes of this movie on my Instagram how I made Aliens Reaction with very few features as an independent filmmaker without financial sponsors.

What if there was a museum that contained every type of life form in the universe? This experience takes you on a tour through the possible forms alien life might take, from the eerily familiar to the utterly exotic, ranging from the inside of the Earth to the most hostile corners of the universe.
New research is upending our idea of life and where it could be hiding: not just on Earth-like planets, where beings could mimic what our planet has produced, but in far flung places like the hearts of dead stars and the rings of gas giant planets. Nowhere in the universe is off limits.

Today's Daily Dose short history film covers the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798, which proved to be the downfall of John Adams' presidency. The filmmaker has included the original voice over script to further assist your understanding: Today on The Daily Dose, The Alien and Sedition Acts.
In 1794, when Federalist President George Washington signed a proclamation of neutrality during a war between England and France, the Jay Treaty would improve relations with England while angering the French. When James Monroe and two other diplomats sailed to France to negotiate for peace, French politicians known as XYZ demanded a bribe before negotiations could begin, which infuriated the young American republic to no end. By the time John Adams was sworn in as the second U.S. president in 1796, France had seized more than 300 American ships, leading many to believe or insist that war with France was eminent and unavoidable. Amid mounting fears of enemy spies infiltrating American society, the majority Federalist Party, who supported a strong central government, prevailed over the minority Republican or Jeffersonian Party in passing four new laws, which collectively became known as the Alien and Sedition Acts.
Since many recent immigrants and new citizens favored the Republicans and their insistence that power remain with the individual states, Congress passed the Naturalization Act, which increased residency requirements for U.S. citizenship from five years to fourteen. The Alien Enemies Act went on to permit the government to arrest and deport all males citizens of enemy nations in the event of war, while the Alien Friends Act allowed the president to deport any non-citizen suspected of plotting against the government, even if the country was not at war. The Sedition Act, on the other hand, took direct aim at anyone who spoke ill against President Adams or the Federalist-dominated government, effectively muzzling descent from the Republican side of the aisle. While Republican lawmakers complained that the Sedition Act violated the First Amendment freedom of speech clause in the Constitution, the Federalist pushed the bill through Congress, which was signed into law by Adams on July 14th, 1798, with an expiration date set for March 3, 1801, which was the last day of his term of office.
