Plot: A young idealistic English filmmaker, Sue, arrives in India to make a film on Indian revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and their contemporaries and their fight for freedom from the British Raj. Owing to a lack of funds, she recruits students from Delhi University to act in her docu-drama. She finds DJ, who graduated five years ago but still wants to be a part of the University because he doesn't think there's too much out there in the real world to look forward to. Karan, the son of Industrialist Rajnath Singhania, who shares an uncomfortable relationship with his father, but continues to live off him, albeit very grudgingly. Aslam, is a middle class Muslim boy, who lives in the by-lanes near Jama Masjid, poet, philosopher and guide to his friends. Sukhi, the group's baby, innocent, vulnerable and with a weakness for only one thing - girls. Laxman Pandey, the fundamentalist in the group, the only one who still believes that politics can make the world a better place and finally Sonia - the sole girl in the group, tomboy and vivacious spirit, engaged to Ajay - the dashing air pilot. Through her film, Sue wishes to showcase to the world the efforts of these young revolutionaries and the enormity of their contribution to the freedom movement in India. What unfolds is the inspiration behind Sue's passion for bringing their story to the world. The twist in the tale is of course the fact that more than just telling the world, Sue's film makes DJ and his friends stop and stare at themselves for being the actual descendants of these great men and never recognizing and celebrating their courage and spirit.

Plot: When his mentor Lala Lajpatrai is mercilessly beaten to death by the police Bhagat Singh is enraged and he sets about to avenge his death. He and his colleagues do succeed in killing one of the officials responsible, but they are identified and as a result they are arrested and held in prison where they are tortured relentlessly. They are then sentenced to a life in prison. Subsequently, they are charged with a more serious crime - treason and assassination - a crime that is punishable by death.

Plot: Vicky lives a wealthy lifestyle with his widower dad, J.B., in India. Now she awaits to be resurrected so that she may claim her lover and avenge her humiliation as well end the curse that her mother had put upon her. And Vikram Singh resembles none other than Vicky himself - who is well on his way to be drawn into her dark world - and there is no power on Earth that can stop her from having her way.

Plot: An Astrologer informs Satpal Singh that his nephew will eventually kill him. When Satpal's sister, Maharani Meenakshi, gives birth to twins, he has one thrown from the castle walls, and replaces the second with his very own son. Years later, the two princes have grown up, one is Dharam, who was rescued by Sheroo, a pet bird of Jwala Singh. Thereafter brought up by Dhano and her husband Lohar, and the second is Veer, who lives in the palace. Satpal finds out to his horror that his wife, Roopmati, had switched the children a second time, as a result he has ended up abusing his very own son, Ranjit, thinking him to be Veer. Now Satpal plots with Prince Sujan Singh, Dev Singh, leader of gypsies, Azad, and their goal is to create enmity between Dharam and Veer, make them enemies, have Dharam kill Veer in a combat, and then subsequently hang Dharam for killing Veer. And to start this all, he has Lohar arrested, and charged with mishandling Meenakshi's carriage, has his hands chopped off, and the result - Dharam is out for vengeance - and he will destroy anyone who will come in his way.

A rhetoric-laden MGR film at the start of his political rise, of interest to all his fans, and students of modern Tamil Nadu. The film has a Technicolor sequence in a tropical island which is a quirky kitsch bonus.

Plot: This classic opens with a sensational low-angle circular track movement as Chandika cult followers meet in a dungeon of flickering lights and deep shadow. As the more rationalist King Krantivarma (Varde) banned human or animal sacrifices from the increasingly fanatical festivals dedicated to the goddess, the cult's high priest (Chandramohan/Date) orders the hapless Vishwagupta (Kelkar) to kill the king. He obeys but is then betrayed by the perfidious priest and caught. His son Madhavgupta (Mane) and daughter Sumitra (Apte) together with the princess (Tarkhad) and the people finally overthrow the priest. There are several famous scenes, including the twice-told legend of the churning of the seas, once by the priest to show how evil must be exorcised, and again by a good general to show how demons often appear disguised as gods. Although invoking divine intervention when Madhavgupta is about to be sacrificed, the film's strongly political thrust has the people rise in revolt.
