The Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (Kazakh SSR or KSSR; Kazakh: Қазақ Кеңестік Социалистік Республикасы, Qazaq Keñestik Socïalïstik Respwblïkası; Russian: Казахская Советская Социалистическая Республика, Kazakhskaya Sovetskaya Sotsialisticheskaya Respublika) was one of the constituent republics of the Soviet Union. It was created in 1936 from the Kazakh ASSR, an autonomous republic of the Russian SFSR.
At 2,717,300 square kilometres (1,049,200 sq mi) in area, it was the second largest republic in the USSR, after the Russian SFSR. Its capital was Alma-Ata (today known as Almaty). Today it is the independent state of Kazakhstan in Central Asia. During its existence it was led by the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR.
The country is named after the Kazakh people, Turkic-speaking former nomads who sustained a powerful khanate in the region before Russian and then Soviet domination. The Soviet Union's spaceport, now known as the Baikonur Cosmodrome, was located in this republic at Tyuratam, and the secret town of Leninsk (now known as Baikonur) was constructed to accommodate its personnel.
A national anthem (also state anthem, national hymn, national song etc.) is a generally patriotic musical composition that evokes and eulogizes the history, traditions and struggles of its people, recognized either by a nation's government as the official national song, or by convention through use by the people. The majority of national anthems are either marches or hymns in style. The countries of Latin America tend towards more operatic pieces, while a handful of countries use a simple fanfare.
Although national anthems are usually in the most common language of the country, whether de facto' or official, there are notable exceptions-
States with more than one national language may offer several versions of their anthem: for instance, Switzerland's anthem has different lyrics for each of the country's four official languages (French, German, Italian and Romansh). Canada's national anthem has different lyrics in each of the country's official languages (English and French), and on some occasions is sung with a mixture of stanzas taken from its French and English versions. The Irish national anthem was written in English; an Irish translation, although never formally adopted, is now almost always sung.
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Russian: Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик, tr. Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik; IPA: [sɐˈjus sɐˈvʲɛtskʲɪx sətsɨəlʲɪsˈtʲitɕɪskʲɪx rʲɪˈspublʲɪk]) abbreviated to USSR (Russian: СССР, tr. SSSR) or shortened to the Soviet Union (Russian: Сове́тский Сою́з, tr. Sovetskij Soyuz; IPA: [sɐ'vʲetskʲɪj sɐˈjʉs]), was a Marxist–Leninist state on the Eurasian continent that existed between 1922 and 1991. A union of multiple subnational Soviet republics, its government and economy were highly centralized. The Soviet Union was a one-party state, governed by the Communist Party with Moscow as its capital.
Kazakhstan (i/ˌkæzækˈstɑːn, ˌkɑː-, -zɑːk-, -ˈstæn/;Kazakh: Қазақстан, Qazaqstan), officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a country in Central Asia, with a minor part west of the Ural River and thus in Europe. Kazakhstan is the world's largest landlocked country by land area and the ninth largest country in the world. Its territory of 2,724,900 square kilometres (1,052,100 sq mi) is larger than all of Western Europe. By 2006, Kazakhstan had become the dominant nation of Central Asia economically, generating 60% of the region's GDP, primarily through its oil/gas industry. The country has vast mineral resources.
It has borders with (clockwise from the north) Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, and also adjoins a large part of the Caspian Sea. The terrain of Kazakhstan includes flatlands, steppe, taiga, rock canyons, hills, deltas, snow-capped mountains, and deserts. With an estimated 18 million people as of 2014, Kazakhstan is the 61st most populous country in the world. Given its large land area, its population density is among the lowest, at less than 6 people per square kilometre (15 people per sq. mi.). The capital is Astana, where it was moved in 1997 from Almaty.
Abdilda (Tazhibayevich) Tazhibayev (Kazakh: Әбділдә Тәжібайұлы Тәжібаев (Äbdildä Täjibayulı Täjibaev); Russian: Абдильда Тажибаевич Тажибаев; 4 February [O.S. 22 January] 1909 in Kyzyl-Orda – 1998, aged 89) was a Kazakh writer and playwright. He was named a People's Writer of the Kazakh SSR in 1985.

[CHALLENGE] There is an OLD KAZAKH FILM somewhere with a FULL VOCAL RECORDING of their SSR anthem in it from the stalinist era. This film exists nowadays because it was used in a recent kazakh documentary with, sadly, replaced audio. At least, the kazakh television has access to it. We need SOMEONE who knows where to find old kazakh footages, films, and know kazakh language to found it. I don't know the title of the film, I only know that it exists. So this is a HARD challenge. Meanwhile, I've made you this version of an old clip replacing the audio with the old instrumental version.
anthem of KaSSR.instrumental. Lyrics: 1.

Like other republics of the Soviet Union at the time, Kazakhstan (then known as the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic) had its own anthem, which was in use until shortly after independence from the Soviet Union. Unlike most former republics, the melody of the anthem of the SSR was retained for the newly independent state’s national anthem. The music was composed by Mukan Tulebayev, Yevgeny Brusilovsky and Latif Khamidi, and the lyrics were written by Abdilda Tazhibaev, Kh. Mukhamedzhanov and Gabit Musirepov. In 1992, new lyrics were adopted with the same melody as the anthem of independent Kazakhstan, until 7 January 2006.
Anthem in 0:30 , sadly incomplete.
