Here is a short video that I recorded yesterday. I am studying 興福寺断碑 (Koufuku-ji danpi), which is a Tang dynasty classic created entirely with characters written in semi-cursive script by Wang Xizhi during Jin dynasty (i.e., ca. 400 years earlier). This is the first time I am writing it, so you can actually see how my daily studies look like. Enjoy!

【ストーリー紹介】
物語は、西晋（せいしん）滅亡・東普（とうしん）建初の歴史背景下に発します。少年の王羲之（おうぎし）は武を好んで文を愛しませんでした。しかし、父の王曠（おうこう）と伯父の王導（おうどう）は、彼には書道方面で独特な悟性があると感じていました。そこで、わざわざ当時最も有名な書道教師の衛夫人（えいふじん）に、彼に書道を教えに来てくれるよう請いました。
南遷以後の東晋は百廃待興（あらゆるものが廃れてしまい、興されるのを待っている状態），社会激動、王羲之はそのような環境の中で迅速に成長、成熟しました。しかし王羲之と女友達の郗叡（シー・ルイ）の間の愛情は、彼の書道と同じようには順風満帆ではありませんでした。多くの困苦を経験した後に、二人はついに結ばれました。ところが、新婚の夜に王羲之は彼の長年創作した作品を焼き尽くしてしまいました。
近三十年の挫折が、王羲之をして会稽（かいけい）で晩年を安らかに送る事を決定させました。彼の書法は人生の流浪の中、次々と昇華がありました。隸書の成熟，楷書の興起，行書と草書の漸次完成、彼は多種多様な選択を使いました。また彼の創新的独立精神の勇を集めて体現し、夫人と良き友の支持の下、王羲之はついに永和九年(西暦353年)桃の節句三月三日に古人も行った事の無い蘭亭（らんてい）での雅な集いを開催し、そして興に乗って永遠の絶唱『蘭亭序（らんていじょ）』を書き下しました。

故事發生在西晉滅亡東晉初建的歷史背景下，少年王羲之喜武不愛文，但父親王曠和伯父王導都覺得他在書法方面有著獨特的悟性，於是專門請當時最有名的書法老師衛夫人來教他書法。
南遷以後的東晉百廢待興，社會動盪，王羲之在這樣的環境中迅速成長、成熟。然而王羲之和郗睿(女友)之間的愛情如同他的書法一樣並不是一帆風順。在經歷了多舛的困苦以後，二人終於結為連理。但在新婚之夜，王羲之卻把他多年創作的作品付之一炬。
近三十年的顛沛使王羲之決定在會稽安度晚年，他的書法在人生的流離中一次一次有了升華，隸書的成熟，楷書的興起，行書、草書的逐漸完善，使他有了多種多樣的選擇，這也集中體現了他勇於創新的獨立精神，在夫人和好友的支持下，王羲之終於永和九年上巳三月三舉辦了前無古人的蘭亭雅集，並乘興寫下了千古絕唱《蘭亭序》。

Shandong, zm. 361) -- chiński kaligraf, uznawany za największego mistrza tej sztuki w historii Chin, zwany Mędrcem Kaligrafii (書聖). Najsławniejsze dzieło Wang Xizhi to Przedmowa do rękopisu z Altany Orchidei (Lantingji Xu), zbioru 37 wierszy, zaimprowizowanych podczas zawodów poetyckich podczas przyjęcia w tytułowym pawilonie, w 353 r. Przedmowa (także improwizowana) opisuje okoliczności ich powstania.
Przedmowa uznana została za najwybitniejsze dzieło kaligrafii; napisana jest w stylu xingshu (piśmie bieżącym), ceniona ze względu na różnorodność znaków i płynność, z jaką się ze sobą łączą; posiada także wysokie walory literackie. Podobnie jak inne dzieła Wang Xizhi, przetrwała jedynie w kopiach i odbitkach ze stel z rytym tekstem.

Wang Xizhi
Wang Xizhi (Wade-Giles: Wang Hsi-chih; 303–361) was a Chinese calligrapher traditionally referred to as the Sage of Calligraphy (書聖), who lived during the Jin Dynasty (265–420). He has arguably been the most esteemed Chinese calligrapher during and after the Tang Dynasty, and a master of all forms of Chinese calligraphy, especially the running script.
The Emperor Taizong admired his works so much that the original Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion was said to be buried with the emperor in his mausoleum.
In addition to the esteem in which he is held in China, he has been and remains influential in Japanese calligraphy.
Biography
Born in Linyi, Shandong, Wang spent most of his life in present-day Shaoxing, Zhejiang and Wenzhou. He learned the art of calligraphy from Lady Wei Shuo. He excelled in every script but particularly in semi-cursive script. Unfortunately, none of his original works remains today.
His most famous work is the Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion, the introduction to a collection of poems written by a number of poets during a gathering at Lanting near the town of Shaoxing for the Spring Purification Festival. The original is lost, but the work survives in a number of finely traced copies, with the earliest and most well regarded copy being the one made between c. 627-650 by Feng Chengsu, and it is located in the Palace Museum in Beijing.

Kim Tae-hee
Kim Tae-hee (Hangul: 김태희; born 29 March 1980) is a South Korean actress. She is best known for her roles in Korean dramas such as Stairway to Heaven, Love Story in Harvard, Iris, My Princess, Jang Ok-jung, Living by Love and Yong-pal.
Early life
Kim Tae-hee was born on 29 March 1980 in Busan, South Korea. Her father, Kim Yoo Moon is chairman of Hankook Union Transportation Company. He is involved in various charities to help out underserved youths and broken families in the Ulsan area. She has an older sister, Kim Hee-won, and a younger brother, Lee Wan; the latter is also an actor and appeared in her television series Stairway to Heaven.
Kim's family moved to Ulsan when she was a child, and she was raised in that city. She had perfect scores in all her subjects throughout her three years in middle school, then enrolled at Ulsan Girls' High School. In 1999, Kim moved to Seoul to attend college at the prestigious Seoul National University, where she became the president of the SNU Women's Ski Club. In 2005, she graduated from SNU with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design.

I am studying 興福寺断碑 (Koufuku-ji danpi), which is a Tang dynasty classic created entirely with characters written in semi-cursive script by Wang Xizhi during Jin dynasty (i.e., ca. 400 years earlier). This is the first time I am writing it, so you can actually see how my daily studies look like. Enjoy!

物語は、西晋（せいしん）滅亡・東普（とうしん）建初の歴史背景下に発します。少年の王羲之（おうぎし）は武を好んで文を愛しませんでした。しかし、父の王曠（おうこう）と伯父の王導（おうどう）は、彼には書道方面で独特な悟性があると感じていました。そこで、わざわざ当時最も有名な書道教師の衛夫人（えいふじん）に、彼に書道を教えに来てくれるよう請いました。
南遷以後の東晋は百廃待興（あらゆるものが廃れてしまい、興されるのを待っている状態），社会激動、王羲之はそのような環境の中で迅速に成長、成熟しました。しかし王羲之と女友達の郗叡（シー・ルイ）の間の愛情は、彼の書道と同じようには順風満帆ではありませんでした。多くの困苦を経験した後に、二人はついに結ばれました。ところが、新婚の夜に王羲之は彼の長年創作した作品を焼き尽くしてしまいました。
近三十年の挫折が、王羲之をして会稽（かいけい）で晩年を安らかに送る事を決定させました。彼の書法は人生の流浪の中、次々と昇華がありました。隸書の成熟，楷書の興起，行書と草書の漸次完成、彼は多種多様な選択を使いました。また彼の創新的独立精神の勇を集めて体現し、夫人と良き友の支持の下、王羲之はついに永和九年(西暦353年)桃の節句三月三日に古人も行った事の無い蘭亭（らんてい）での雅な集いを開催し、そして興に乗って永遠の絶唱『蘭亭序（らんていじょ）』を書き下しました。

Here is a short video that I recorded yesterday. I am studying 興福寺断碑 (Koufuku-ji danpi), which is a Tang dynasty classic created entirely with characters written in semi-cursive script by Wang Xizhi during Jin dynasty (i.e., ca. 400 years earlier). This is the first time I am writing it, so you can actually see how my daily studies look like. Enjoy!

物語は、西晋（せいしん）滅亡・東普（とうしん）建初の歴史背景下に発します。少年の王羲之（おうぎし）は武を好んで文を愛しませんでした。しかし、父の王曠（おうこう）と伯父の王導（おうどう）は、彼には書道方面で独特な悟性があると感じていました。そこで、わざわざ当時最も有名な書道教師の衛夫人（えいふじん）に、彼に書道を教えに来てくれるよう請いました。
南遷以後の東晋は百廃待興（あらゆるものが廃れてしまい、興されるのを待っている状態），社会激動、王羲之はそのような環境の中で迅速に成長、成熟しました。しかし王羲之と女友達の郗叡（シー・ルイ）の間の愛情は、彼の書道と同じようには順風満帆ではありませんでした。多くの困苦を経験した後に、二人はついに結ばれました。ところが、新婚の夜に王羲之は彼の長年創作した作品を焼き尽くしてしまいました。
近三十年の挫折が、王羲之をして会稽（かいけい）で晩年を安らかに送る事を決定させました。彼の書法は人生の流浪の中、次々と昇華がありました。隸書の成熟，楷書の興起，行書と草書の漸次完成、彼は多種多様な選択を使いました。また彼の創新的独立精神の勇を集めて体現し、夫人と良き友の支持の下、王羲之はついに永和九年(西暦353年)桃の節句三月三日に古人も行った事の無い蘭亭（らんてい）での雅な集いを開催し、そして興に乗って永遠の絶唱『蘭亭序（らんていじょ）』を書き下しました。

近三十年的顛沛使王羲之決定在會稽安度晚年，他的書法在人生的流離中一次一次有了升華，隸書的成熟，楷書的興起，行書、草書的逐漸完善，使他有了多種多樣的選擇，這也集中體現了他勇於創新的獨立精神，在夫人和好友的支持下，王羲之終於永和九年上巳三月三舉辦了前無古人的蘭亭雅集，並乘興寫下了千古絕唱《蘭亭序》。

An opera troupe from Shaoxing (绍兴/紹興) in Zhejiang province (浙江省), China (中国/中國) presents 'Journey to the West' (西遊記/西游记/Xī Yóu Jì) featuring Sun Wukong the Monkey King (孙悟空/孫悟空) during the 8th Taiwan-Jejang Cultural Festival (Shau Shing Culture Festival) at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall (國立國父紀念館) in Taipei City (臺北市/台北市), Taiwan (臺灣/台灣) on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
'Journey to the West' is a Chinese novel published in the 16th century (c. 1592) during the Ming Dynasty (明朝/大明帝国/大明帝國) and attributed to Wu Cheng'en (吴承恩/吳承恩). It is one of the Four Great Classical Novels (四大名著) of Chinese literature. In English-speaking countries, the work is widely known as Monkey, the title of Arthur Waley's popular abridged translation.
The novel is an extended account of the legendary pilgrimage of the Tang dynasty (唐朝) Buddhist monk Xuanzang (Hsuan-tsang/玄奘) who traveled to the "Western Regions" (Xiyu/Hsi-yu/西域) , that is India to obtain sacred texts (sūtras) and returned after many trials and much suffering. It retains the broad outline of Xuanzang's own account, Great Tang Records on the Western Regions (Xiyu/Hsi-yu/西域) but the Ming dynasty novel adds elements from folk tales and the author's invention, that is, that the Buddha gave this task to the monk and provided him with three protectors who agree to help him as an atonement for their sins. These disciples are Sun Wukong (the Monkey King/孙悟空/孫悟空/Tôn Ngộ Không/เห้งเจีย/行者/손오공/そん ごくう/Sun Gokong/Sun Go Kong), Zhu Bajie or Zhu Wuneng (猪八戒/豬八戒/Pigsy/Pig), and Sha Wujing (沙悟净/沙悟凈), together with a dragon prince who acts as Xuanzang's steed, a white horse.
Sun Wukong, the Monkey King is the main character in Journey to the West. Sun Wukong is also found in many later stories and adaptations. In the novel, he is a monkey born from a stone who acquires supernatural powers through Taoist practices. After rebelling against heaven and being imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha, he later accompanies the monk Xuanzang on a journey to retrieve Buddhist sutras from India.
Shaoxing has long been a hotbed of Chinese cultural activity, producing such luminary figures as Wang Xizhi, Zhou Enlai, Lu Xun, and Cai Yuanpei. Its local variety of Chinese opera sung in the local dialect and known as Shaoxing opera (绍兴剧) or Yue Ju (越剧) is second in popularity only to Peking or Beijing opera (京剧/京劇). Notable actors of Yue Ju are Yuan Xuefen (袁雪芬), Wang Wenjuan (王文娟), Fu Quanxiang (傅全香), Lu Ruiying, Zhang Yunxia, Jin Caifeng, Qi Yaxian, Bi Chunfang, Fan Ruijuan, Yin Guifang, Xu Yulan, Lu Jinhua, Zhu Shuizhao and Zhao Zhigang, among others.
Yue Ju opera was founded around 1906 in Shengzhou in Zhejiang province. It is highly popular in Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Fujian, while its audiences are all over China and Chinese-speaking regions around the world.

Thinking that he cannot let his daughter become a wife of a crippled man even though he is from a powerful family, Maeng decides to use a little trick. On the wedding day, he replaces the bride with a maid as if she were his daughter. But when the bridegroom shows up, everyone knows that he is not a crippled man. He is an imposing and dignified young man. Maeng is stunned. But there is nothing he can do anymore. The maid marries Mi-eon.
맹진사(김승호)는 자신의 외동딸 갑분(이빈화)이가 도라지골 김대감 자제인 미언(김진규)과 결혼할 것이라고 자랑이 대단하다. 돈으로 벼슬을 산 맹진사는 명문가와 사돈이 되면 득을 볼 것이라고 기대하고 사위가 될 미언의 성품 등은 보려고도 하지 않는다. 그러나 맹진사댁에 묵게 된 도라지골의 어느 선비가 사위가 될 미언이가 절름발이라는 이야기를 전한다. 당사자인 갑분이는 `죽어도 병신한테는 시집 안 간다'고 펄펄 뛰고, 세도가와 사돈이 되는 것도 좋지만 딸을 절름발이에게 시집보낼 수 없다고 생각한 맹진사는 친족들과 모여 이 문제를 의논한다. 고민 끝에 맹진사는 갑분의 하녀 이쁜이(최은희)를 갑분이 대신 바꿔치기해 시집보내기로 한다. 맹진사는 갑분을 작은 아버지 댁으로 숨기고, 예쁜이에게 갑분이를 대신해 시집가라고 한다. 그러나 예쁜이는 `자신같이 천한 신분과 결혼할 도련님이 불쌍해서 그렇게 할 수는 없다'고 생각한 나머지, 도라지골의 선비에게 이 사실을 슬쩍 귀띔해 준다. 그러나 결혼식에 나타난 미언은 절름발이가 아닌 멀쩡한 미남이었다. 맹진사는 삼돌이(구봉서)를 시켜 갑분이를 불러오도록 하지만, 결혼식은 진행되고 갑분이가 도착하기 전에 식이 치러진다. 미언과 결혼한 예쁜이는 미언에게 자신의 신분을 고백하고 용서를 구한다. 미언은 절름발이라는 헛소문을 낸 사람이 자신이라고 말하고, 이것은 모두 마음씨 고운 아가씨를 아내로 얻기 위해 꾸민 거짓말이었다며 자신의 아내는 예쁜이 뿐이라고 말한다.
