Alclad is a corrosion-resistant aluminium sheet formed from high-purity aluminium surface layers metallurgically bonded to high-strength aluminium alloy core material. These sheets are commonly used by the aircraft industry. The first aircraft to be constructed from Alclad was the all-metal Navy airship ZMC-2, constructed in 1927 at Naval Air Station Grosse Ile. Alclad is a trademark of Alcoa but the term is also used generically.
Described in NACA-TN-259, of August 1927, as "a new corrosion resistant aluminum product which is markedly superior to the present strong alloys. Its use should result in greatly increased life of a structural part. Alclad is a heat-treated aluminum, copper, manganese, magnesium alloy that has the corrosion resistance of pure metal at the surface and the strength of the strong alloy underneath. Of particular importance is the thorough character of the union between the alloy and the pure aluminum. Preliminary results of salt spray tests (24 weeks of exposure) show changes in tensile strength and elongation of Alclad 17ST, when any occurred, to be so small as to be well within the limits of experimental error." In applications involving aircraft construction, Alclad has proven to have increased resistance to corrosion at the expense of increased weight when compared to sheet aluminum.
Alclad II, ...how to use regular gray primer as a base coat for Alclad paint. Alclad comes ready to spray, so there's no need to thin it. Airbrush: Sparmax SP-35, for more details please visit: http://www.sparmaxair.com/ If you like higher shine (or chrome) then use a gloss black. but this is a WWII aircraft! so normal NMF is recommended. A quick video on the pros and cons of alclad Metallic paint, how to set them up, and how to apply them.
In this segment of Tool Time I wanted to test out some of my Alclad 2 paints that I have. I have been using these paints for some time now and even thou I think I'm doing it right I feel like its not right. Some of the surface textures doesn't look right when I use Alclad 2 paints. I have also notice that not all paint looks like watch the display pictures show on the web. I wanted to create a paint template or a test sample of the color to get a visual reference if I ever want to use this paint on future build. That why I going to use 4 silver like patient and use it as a base color on top of Gloss black to see if I can get the effect colors done right.

Taking a cue form sci-fi and Alclad themselves, I've made a paint chart of all their metals, grouped by type and spaced evenly around an old, gridded, AMT 1701 Saucer. This was a very fast paint-up from start to finish. I had immediate need, so rushed and got smudges in the gloss black layer which transferred to the metals. There were also small bits of grit in the air which messed with me. And I would re-order the colors a little based on seeing them in person. I will definitely redo this when I find a cheap gridded saucer again!

I was looking down at the sunrise from the veranda
I was exposing my drained arms to the wind
I was remembering the colour of his hair when
From wherever my mind was, alights a crow, scolding me
Control yourself
This isn't like you at all
Being in love is for a moment, a whimsical wink
Getting too caught-up only leads to regrets
Yes, you're right
It's exactly as you say but
The warning came much too late
I already had my shoes on
Before I was done hearing the last word
I'm off to go see him
A yellow brick road that goes winding on and on
Come and lead me all the way to his home
I'll waste some time and buy him those cigarettes
Say you love me with a voice exhaled from those pitch
black lungs
All the signal lights in the city turned green and
The rules that someone had set became absolutely
useless
It's like the cigarettes that disappear into his hand
Trickery unseen to the eye everywhere
There is nothing I can believe in but
There is just one thing that I know
This right foot and left foot are both heading straight
for him
It's not like I've got brakes to begin with
I'm off to go see him
I'm yearning for him
I'm in love with him
