Welcome to episode 4 of
Letters from the
Apocalypse, a post-apocalyptic
ASMR fan-fiction series driven by viewer & subscriber contributions that provides a relaxing, ASMR-inducing experience in the form of whispering, personal attention, rustling paper and other trigger sounds.
More info on this series below. But first I wanted to apologize for some of the out-of-focus moments that occur during this particular video. I had the camera set to auto-focus tracking my face, so when I turn away from the camera and such, the camera tries to refocus.
Plus, the aperture is wide-open, so the depth of field is very narrow, which only contributes to the noticeable out-of-focus. So I just ask that you pretend that the viewer is having some problems with their vision ;) I'm also still getting acclimated to the
GH4.
L.F.T.A. tells the story of an Nth generation Clemmons who lives in a a post-apocalyptic earth of some reality and is taking care of someone (the viewer) while also collecting letters, from personal stories to secret documents, that have been scattered to the wind, as he tries to piece together what happened.
If you would like to take part, please follow the instructions below:
1. Use your imagination! Put yourself into a post-apocalyptic mindset and write or type a letter to a loved one, as a member of a secret organization, a personal diary, or something more!
2. Typed letters should be kept to 1 side of one page, since it can contain more paragraphs and words than a handwritten letter.
3.
Handwritten letters can be 2 to 3 sides max (unless you send in multiple pages and space your writing).
4. Your letter should not contain your full real name.
First names are okay. This is for your own privacy and security of course.
5. Get creative! Dab your paper with a wet tea bag or soak it in coffee, and tear and/or burn the edges to give it that worn, old look and then throw it in the oven to bake at
200 degrees
Fahrenheit. I spent about 3 hours myself doing this to most of the letters in Part 2.
Mail your letters, telegraphs, postcards, homemade journals and other post-apocalyptic goodies to to:
Thank you for watching and special thanks to all those that have submitted letters! You guys and gals are awesome! I have a
LOT of letters and items to make more videos so I ask that you please be patient. Your letter will show up in a future video!
Tingle on,
E.R.

What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with
PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more.
