the 400-foot-high Texas SkyScreamer, at the Six Flags Over Texas theme park in Arlington, Texas, carries riders on open-air swing chairs attached to a giant tower. The 124 ft-wide gondola spins at a speed of 35 miles per hour upon reaching the top of the tower.
Up to 24 people at a time can enjoy panoramic views of the park below, as well as the Dallas Cowboys football stadium and Texas Rangers baseball stadium. Riders can also see the cityscapes of downtown Forth Worth and Dallas, located about 15 miles east of Arlington.
"It's just a swing, but with a great view," Haidee Ferrer, of Kennedale, Texas, who was among the first to sample to new ride on Thursday, told the Star Telegram.

Daniel Keenan "Dan" Savage (born October 7, 1964) is an American author, media pundit, journalist and newspaper editor. Savage writes the internationally syndicated relationship and sex advice column Savage Love. Its tone is frank in its discussion of sexuality, often humorous, and hostile to social conservatives and Rick Santorum's views on homosexuality. Savage has clashed with cultural conservatives on the right, and the gay establishment, on the left. In 2010, Savage and his husband Terry Miller began the It Gets Better Project to help prevent suicide among LGBT youth.
Dan Savage was born to William and Judy Savage in Chicago, Illinois. He is of Irish ancestry. The 124 ft-wide gondola spins at a speed of 35 miles per hour upon reaching the top of the tower. the 400-foot-high Texas SkyScreamer, at the Six Flags Over Texas theme park in Arlington, Texas, carries riders on open-air swing chairs attached to a giant tower. The 124 ft-wide gondola spins at a speed of 35 miles per hour upon reaching the top of the tower.
Up to 24 people at a time can enjoy panoramic views of the park below, as well as the Dallas Cowboys football stadium and Texas Rangers baseball stadium. Riders can also see the cityscapes of downtown Forth Worth and Dallas, located about 15 miles east of Arlington.
"It's just a swing, but with a great view," Haidee Ferrer, of Kennedale, Texas, who was among the first to sample to new ride on Thursday, told the Star Telegram.

The second shooting may only have been fictional but, when J R Ewing was shot by an unknown killer in the TV series Dallas in the early 1980s, fans across the world were devastated. Even today, the legend of J R remains strong, as does the legacy of President Kennedy.
Today the city is a mecca for the banking, electronics and oil industries, as well as for dining, shopping, arts and entertainment. Large scale developments of urban lofts, apartments, condominiums, retail and both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities are springing up across the city. An impressive new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2009 to vie with New York's Lincoln Center. New facilities and relevant attractions in and around this cultural centre continue to grow.
Among things you probably didn't know about Dallas: The city has the largest urban arts district in the United States spanning 19 blocks. What's more, the Dallas Arts District has more buildings designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects in one contiguous location than anywhere else in the world. And Dallas' Fair Park, just a short distance east of the arts district and a district with numerous museums and venues, features the nation's largest collection of 1930s Art Deco, exposition-style architecture.
Dallas offers true Southern hospitality, be it in a humble hideaway cocktail bar or in the Mansion on Turtle Creek, repeatedly and regularly ranked as one of the world's top hotels. And with a 10th of its workforce in the hospitality industry, Dallas is always happy to have y'all come on in and stick around awhile.
Those wishing to explore further afield should take the busy freeway 30 miles to the west to the easy-going, cattle-driving, twin city of Fort Worth, home to a national historic district and a surprising stash of world-class art museums.
The similarities between the two include a stunning rate of business and population growth, in spite of a sluggish recent economy; a shared passion for the pro sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, whose new billion-dollar stadium is now in Tarrant County instead of Dallas; and a great pride in being Texan.

Apart from liking this record due to it's near neighbours in audio across the pond, The Cravats, I know nothing about the record. I have seen the name Geza X on several old 7" singles from the U.S. Black Flag and Dead Kennedys etc, Geza X engineering the sessions, but I know nothing of the man or this record. The guy below does though... “YOU GODDAM KIDS” mixes up a fine fuzzed up shrill line between pop and paranoia, both feature very heavily here. Plot
It is the 1990s. In the beginning, World War III has at last expired. The people are left to pick up the pieces and rebuild their civilizations. However, vicious gangs that prey on these defenseless citizens are obstructing the reconstruction.
The main protagonists are Boris, Wade and Kyle, vigilantes who protect the feared and helpless. Their largest problem is the corrupt, incorrigible, ruthless and lethal gang known as "The Geld Gang". They have commissioned every type of person imaginable. Purple-haired, leather-clad, chain-wielding, lead-pipe swinging, masked, martial art, orange-mohawked and men so strong and immune to pain they use manhole covers as shields.
One day, when the trio is patrolling the streets, alert, ready and able to help those in need, they see a woman named Sheena (a friend of theirs) waving at them walking across the street out of a supermarket with groceries. A moment later, Lord Geld's right-hand man, Red Freddy, snatches her away while riding on his purple hog. Now, the three braves must save Sheena from the grips of Lord Geld.
Gameplay
In Violent Storm, up to three players can choose between Wade, Boris and Kyle, who have different fighting styles, speed and moves, some of which are hidden. Players must guide them through 7 different stages, in order of appearance: a declined town, a runaway train, in the taverns with trap doors, inside a metal furnacery, a botanic garden, a bay area near the sea and finally Lord Geld's museum. Along the way, if the players clash any enemy, they will wallop, sock, pommel, whip and slug against the players, sometimes with weapons like knives, lead pipes, bombs, bolts of electricity, spiked balls on chains, garbage cans, vise grips, molten metal and a myriad of other deadly armament.
Bonus Stages
If you beat the entire game with just one credit, you'll get to play "Violent Round". The bonus round will start after you manage to kill the last stage boss. The "Violent Round" goes again through same 7 stages but this time you will face an increased number of enemies.
Characters
Wade – The balanced character and the de facto leader of the trio. His specialty is the uppercut.
Boris – The powerhouse of the group with unmatched damage. He has four different devastating throws and backbreakers at his disposal, and is able to hit fallen enemies with the pipe.
Kyle – The quick character of the three, whose lower damage is compensated for by his speed. He can fire off rapid kicks that are excellent at stopping charging enemies.
If Wade or Kyle attempt a regular throw on a heavy enemy or boss, the foe may sometimes free himself and flatten them instead (unless the player presses the Attack button repeatedly). Only Boris is capable of lifting all enemies above the ground to throw or piledrive them into a location of the player's choosing.

This is down to Geza’s desk faders-up-Mr-Engineer recording techniques, and also the content, lyrically and sonically too on tracks such as “Mean Mr Mommy Man” and the more obvious “Paranoids” (‘They’re talking in a very low voice, I wonder if they suspect me? I think I’d better make some noise, The computers are trying to inspect me...followed by...CHORUS OF FEAR!).
But it’s mostly the everything-in-the-red pop quality that really gets in your head mix of, again BUZZing guitars, fed through an old record cutting lathe box called a Recordio that had a built in pre-amp, shrill and terse saxes and very percussive and infectious marimbas, as well as strange voices singing of ‘bad bad music’ before Mr Jackson got around to it (I think... A Jackson expert I won’t pretend to be).
Up for track one then’ “Rio Grande Hotel” a strange little mid paced canter sci-fi piece about Geza meeting his love at the Rio Grande Hotel, they made Rio Grande love there and it was real swell. But he comes from Mars, from the stars but she still becomes his Indian Guide riding by side and they never look back! A damn fine pop/sci-fi platter that shows the first of his horsey metaphors ~ later we also have a marimba driven instro called Pony Ride which captures the basic GEZA sound perfectly and immaculately.
Next up an almost operatic tale called ‘Hungarian’ (and he is, so he can say what he likes) in which he pokes fun at mostly himself I reckon with great lines (he’s a damn shrewd & crack-you-up lyricist) in which he proclaims ‘cause Hungarian’s eat their first born sons, Hungarian’s are worse than anyone’s’ and ‘Well I should know because I’ve been one, But if I had my choice...dear God, dalinks, te jo istenem! “Funky Monsters” propounds Geza’s whole musically philosophy that carries on over from side ones “Pony Ride” from a swinging sax and rhythm-box-that-isn’t-a-rhythm-box intro into a slow funk-laden bass that lets you know ‘How did it happen, what did they do? X-music grabbed them and it’s gonna grab you.’ And hearing this, as pussycat voices chairman-meow in it’ll grab you by your musty and sweat laden bits too cos ‘it’s definitely the baddest’.
The fractured guitar lines really do infest and again infect, but you will shake and quake all the way thru “Practicing Mice” and into “I Hate Punks” which takes a great shot, at not so much punks per-se, but revolution becoming genericised and dressed up and, well the revolution will be televised, branded, stuck on a t-shirt and sold to the MAN.
It’s eerie, it’s creepy, it’s pop and it’s punk and it’s a whole smorgasbord of other things and it affected me deeply, and when it spins now, it still does cos’, Yipes! That’s some bad music!

Apart from liking this record due to it's near neighbours in audio across the pond, The Cravats, I know nothing about the record.
I have seen the name Geza X on several old 7" singles from the U.S. Black Flag and Dead Kennedys etc, Geza X engineering the sessions, but I know nothing of the man or this record.
The guy below does though...
“YOU GODDAM KIDS” mixes up a fine fuzzed up shrill line between pop and paranoia, both feature very heavily here. For all it’s catchy hooks and licks and breaking studio techniques. This is an album so (at times) intense it can make for uneasy listening. It can be a record that sounds scared of ITSELF.
This is down to Geza’s desk faders-up-Mr-Engineer recording techniques, and also the content, lyrically and sonically too on tracks such as “Mean Mr Mommy Man” and the more obvious “Paranoids” (‘They’re talking in a very low voice, I wonder if they suspect me? I think I’d better make some noise, The computers are trying to inspect me...followed by...CHORUS OF FEAR!).
But it’s mostly the everything-in-the-red pop quality that really gets in your head mix of, again BUZZing guitars, fed through an old record cutting lathe box called a Recordio that had a built in pre-amp, shrill and terse saxes and very percussive and infectious marimbas, as well as strange voices singing of ‘bad bad music’ before Mr Jackson got around to it (I think... A Jackson expert I won’t pretend to be).
Up for track one then’ “Rio Grande Hotel” a strange little mid paced canter sci-fi piece about Geza meeting his love at the Rio Grande Hotel, they made Rio Grande love there and it was real swell. But he comes from Mars, from the stars but she still becomes his Indian Guide riding by side and they never look back! A damn fine pop/sci-fi platter that shows the first of his horsey metaphors ~ later we also have a marimba driven instro called Pony Ride which captures the basic GEZA sound perfectly and immaculately.
Next up an almost operatic tale called ‘Hungarian’ (and he is, so he can say what he likes) in which he pokes fun at mostly himself I reckon with great lines (he’s a damn shrewd & crack-you-up lyricist) in which he proclaims ‘cause Hungarian’s eat their first born sons, Hungarian’s are worse than anyone’s’ and ‘Well I should know because I’ve been one, But if I had my choice...dear God, dalinks, te jo istenem! NHL 14 is an upcoming ice hockey video game developed by EA Canada and to be published by EA Sports. It is the 23rd installment of the NHL series and will be released on September 10, 2013 in North America, and three days later in Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand. However, the game will be released on September 7, 2013 for subscribers of the EA Sports Season Ticket service.
Like the NHL 13 cover, anybody could vote on the player(s) they wished to see on the cover of NHL 14. The vote started on April 22, 2013 with 60 NHL players (2 players per team) in a single-elimination voting with two players in each match-up, and was closed on June 2, 2013. Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur and Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky qualified for the final, and Brodeur was announced as the winner on June 28, 2013. NHL 14 will mark the first time since NHL 97 that a goaltender is featured on the cover (John Vanbiesbrouck was on the cover that year), as well as the first goaltender on any ice hockey video game cover since Marty Turco on 2K Sports' NHL 2K6. Jonas Hiller was featured on the cover of NHL 12, but only in PAL regions.
