The Nintendo 3DS (ニンテンドー3DS, Nintendō Surī Dī Esu^?, abbreviated to 3DS) is a portable game console produced by Nintendo. The autostereoscopic device is able to project stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or any additional accessories. The Nintendo 3DS features backward compatibility with Nintendo DS series software, including Nintendo DSi software. Announcing the device in March 2010, Nintendo officially unveiled it at E3 2010, with the company inviting attendees to use demonstration units. The console succeeds the Nintendo DS series of handheld systems and competes with Sony's PlayStation Vita console.

The Nintendo 3DS was released in Japan on February 26, 2011; in Europe on March 25, 2011; in North America on March 27, 2011; in Australia on March 31, 2011; and in Korea on April 28, 2012. On July 28, 2011, Nintendo announced a major price drop starting August 12. In addition, consumers who bought the system at its original price gained access to ten free Nintendo Entertainment System games starting September 1, 2011 and 10 free Game Boy Advance games starting December 16, 2011, from the Nintendo eShop.

Also included with the set is a download code that unlocks exclusive Red and Blue themed Home Screen Themes. Of course, both Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue come preinstalled with the system, ready to play right out of the box. The cover plates are wonderfully done, capturing the old style of Sugimori's Charizard and Blastoise designs, right off of the Red and Blue boxes. Both have a nice matte finish that complements the actual feel of the system. Keep in mind that this system is the normal New 3DS, and not a 3DS XL system. At $199.99, the fact that you're getting the system, two exclusive themes, two exclusive cover plates, and of course the collectibility of it all. If you're a hardcore retro Pokémon fan, or just really excited about the 20th Anniversary, this is a must have for the collection. Hunters from Outwest Farms located in Okeechobee, Florida have posted an image showing a massive, near 15-foot, 780 pound alligator they found and killed. According to CNN, the huge reptile was discovered on Saturday on one of the ponds located on a private ranch owned by Outwest Farms owner Lee Lightsey ... They were surprised when they came across this huge alligator instead ... I hate seeing a beautiful dinosaur like that killed.???? #RIP....
