Rory Calhoun (August 8, 1922 – April 28, 1999) was an American television and film actor, screenwriter, and producer.
Born Francis Timothy McCown in Los Angeles, California, Calhoun spent his early years in Santa Cruz, California. The son of a professional gambler, he was of Irish ancestry. He was only nine months old when his father died; Calhoun's mother remarried, and he occasionally went by Frank Durgin, using the last name of his stepfather. At age thirteen, he stole a revolver, for which he was sent to the California Youth Authority's Preston School of Industry reformatory at Ione, California. He escaped while in the adjustment center (jail within the jail). After robbing several jewelry stores, he stole a car and drove it across state lines. This made it a federal offense, and when he was recaptured, he was sentenced to three years in prison. He served his sentence at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri. After finishing his sentence, he was transferred to San Quentin prison on other charges. He remained there until he was paroled shortly before his twenty-first birthday.
A river is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some cases a river flows into the ground and becomes dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water. Small rivers can be referred to using names such as stream, creek, brook, rivulet, and rill. There are no official definitions for the generic term river as applied to geographic features, although in some countries or communities a stream is defined by its size. Many names for small rivers are specific to geographic location; examples are "run" in some parts of the United States, "burn" in Scotland and northeast England, and "beck" in northern England. Sometimes a river is defined as being larger than a creek, but not always: the language is vague.
Rivers are part of the hydrological cycle. Water generally collects in a river from precipitation through a drainage basin from surface runoff and other sources such as groundwater recharge, springs, and the release of stored water in natural ice and snowpacks (e.g. from glaciers). Potamology is the scientific study of rivers while limnology is the study of inland waters in general.
Powder may refer to:
The Powder River Basin is a geologic structural basin in southeast Montana and northeast Wyoming, about 120 miles (190 km) east to west and 200 miles (320 km) north to south, known for its coal deposits. The region supplies about 40 percent of coal in the United States. It is both a topographic drainage and geologic structural basin. The basin is so named because it is drained by the Powder River, although it is also drained in part by the Cheyenne River, Tongue River, Bighorn River, Little Missouri River, Platte River, and their tributaries.
While the Powder River Basin is unified geologically, residents of areas distant from the Powder River proper do not think of themselves as living in a single geographic region. For example, residents of the Crow Reservation in the Big Horn River watershed, or of Sheridan in the Tongue River watershed, would locate the Powder River Basin as the region east of the Big Horn Mountains, using a definition based on watershed and topography.

One of my many one day trips to the Powder River Basin, easy to do since it's only a 3 hour drive each way for me. This video was shot back in 1993, on the Orin Line. It includes one of my first trips down the then new paved road to the Antelope Creek Bridge and NACCO Jct. A single bridge over Antelope Creek - now there's 4 identical bridges there for the 4 main tracks! Originally shot on 8mm tape using a Sony Camcorder.

Scenes recorded in September 2014 of Powder River Basin coal trains working through the vicinity of Bill, Wyoming, USA. (An audio dropout has occurred during editing of the scene at 3.15)
WARNING: This is probably the most boring railroad video you'll ever watch! Two hours of Powder River Basin coal trains in uninspiring landscape. Lots of wind noise (It's Wyoming, the wind always blows). :) That out of the way, for those who want to see PRB operations in the earlier 1990's you might enjoy this video. Back in those days a good part of the PRB was still single track, with some sections of double track. Compare that with today, where most of the PRB is triple track with some sections of 4-track mainline! It was still Chicago Northwest with trackage rights into the PRB, not the UP. Lots of older power too. Tons of BN SD40-2's and C30-7's. SD60M's were just starting to show up on the scene. And brand new UP AC4400's (which are still the mainstay of UP coal train power today,...

Hey fellow shooters, in this video I compare the Powder River Precision (PRP) trigger kit for the Springfield XD to the factory trigger to see if it's worth the $135.00 price tag. I'll give you some data points, and opinions that I have to share about it and also touch on a couple of safety concerns that you may run across when fitting the parts. I hope this video helps you with any questions you may have about this kit. Have fun, be safe, and live in condition yellow. Thanks for watching, and don't forget to subscribe.
Here I am, alone again, the dreaded day
To end you, I'll find a way, A place you can stay
The distance was killing me.
Here I am, the feel again, a beautiful day, to end you
I'll find a way, all mine today, was there a way to love me?
Here I am, alone again, the dreaded day to end you
I'll find a way, a place you can stay,
Oh your distance was kiling me.
Your distance was killing me.
