Sasaram. Wedding bells have fallen silent in about 200 villages nestled in Kaimur hill ranges of Rohtas and Kaimur districts. Apart from this, at least eight SC/ST residential schools have been shut though unofficially and attendance in dozens of schools is negligible as there is no water for preparing midday meal. All ponds and handpumps in these villages have dried up ... A senior PHED officer requesting anonymity also confirmed this....
