In which John Green teaches you about Nationalism. Nationalism was everywhere in the 19th century, as people all over the world carved new nation-states out of old empires. Nationalist leaders changed the way people thought of themselves and the places they lived by reinventing education, military service, and the relationship between government and governed. In Japan, the traditional feudal society underwent a long transformation over the course of about 300 years to become a modern nation-state. John follows the course of Japanese history from the emergence of the Tokugawa Shogunate to the Meiji Restoration, and covers Nationalism in many other countries along the way. All this, plus a special guest appearance, plus the return of an old friend on a extra-special episode of Crash Course.

"Daimyo," a 27-minute film from 1988, explores the “dual way” of the feudal lords (Daimyo) in Japan, in which skill in the warrior arts was balanced by time and attention to the peaceful arts, including calligraphy, poetry and the tea ceremony. Long segments are devoted to the tea ceremony and a performance of Noh Theatre by noted actor Otoshige Sakai. The narrator asserts that the feudal lords preserved Japanese culture during a turbulent period of civil war preceding the unification of Japan engineered by the Tokugawa Shogunate in the early 1600s. This film was made in conjunction with the exhibit, “Japan: The Shaping of Daimyo Culture 1185-1868,” at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. It was produced, directed, written and narrated by John Nathan, a noted translator and scholar of Japanese history and culture.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is a second generation Monster Hunter game exclusive to Sony's handheld gaming systems the PSP and Vita. Daimyo (大名, daimyō?, 
Pronunciation (help·info)) is a generic term referring to the powerful territorial lords in pre-modern Japan who ruled most of the country from their vast, hereditary land holdings. In the term, "dai" (大?) literally means "large", and "myō" stands for myōden (名田?), meaning private land.
Subordinate only to the shogun, daimyo were the most powerful feudal rulers from the 10th century to the middle 19th century in Japan.
From the shugo of the Muromachi period through the Sengoku to the daimyo of the Edo period, the rank had a long and varied history.
The term "daimyo" is also sometimes used to refer to the leading figures of such clans, also called "lord". It was usually, though not exclusively, from these warlords that a shogun arose or a regent was chosen.
Daimyo often hired samurai to guard their land and they paid the samurai in land or food. Relatively few daimyo could afford to pay samurai in money.
The shugo daimyo (守護大名, shugo-daimyō?) were the first group of men to hold the title "daimyo". They arose from among the shugo during the Muromachi period. The shugo daimyo held not only military and police powers, but also economic power within a province. They accumulated these powers throughout the first decades of the Muromachi period.

Matthew Langford Perry (born August 19, 1969) is a Canadian-American actor and comedian, best known for his Emmy-nominated role as Chandler Bing on the popular, long-running NBC television sitcom Friends. He also received acclaim for his portrayal of Ron Clark in the television movie The Ron Clark Story, accompanied by another Emmy nomination as well as a Golden Globe nomination. Perry also starred in the short-lived series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and has appeared in a number of films, including Fools Rush In (1997), The Whole Nine Yards (2000), and 17 Again (2009). In 2010 he expanded his resume to include both video games and voiceover work when he voiced Benny in the role-playing game Fallout: New Vegas.
Perry was the co-creator, co-writer, executive producer and star of the short-lived ABC sitcom Mr. Sunshine, which ran from February to April 2011.
Perry was born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, United States. His mother, Suzanne Jane Louise Morrison (née Langford), is a Canadian journalist and former press secretary to Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, and his father, John Bennett Perry, is an American actor and former model. His parents divorced before his first birthday and his mother subsequently married Keith Morrison, a broadcast journalist. Perry was raised by his mother in Ottawa, Ontario, and was enrolled at Rockcliffe Park Public School and Ashbury College. While growing up, he took a keen interest in tennis and became a top-ranked junior player.

Long segments are devoted to the tea ceremony and a performance of Noh Theatre by noted actor Otoshige Sakai. The narrator asserts that the feudal lords preserved Japanese culture during a turbulent period of civil war preceding the unification of Japan engineered by the Tokugawa Shogunate in the early 1600s. This film was made in conjunction with the exhibit, “Japan: The Shaping of Daimyo Culture 1185-1868,” at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. It was produced, directed, written and narrated by John Nathan, a noted translator and scholar of Japanese history and culture.

Urgent Quest starts @ 5:11
The introduction to Village High Rank, new to 4G. You can access it as soon as you beat Shagaru Magara in Low Rank Village.
You also get the Urgent Quest to get into High Rank which is Daimyo Hermitaur. I equipped myself with Low Rank equipment to make it a bit more fair on the poor crab so he could show off more of his new moves that he didn't get to show in the previous video, but he did take a while to kill because of that lol
Either way, liking the changes they did to Daimyo, he is definitely a lot more fun and less robotic than MHFU.
