Bryan Pringle (19 January 1935 – 15 May 2002) was a British actor who appeared in television, film and theatre productions.
Born in Tamworth, Staffordshire but brought up in the Lancashire town of Bolton he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In 1958, he married character actress Anne Jameson; together they had two children. She died in 1999.
While much of his TV career was as a character actor, he also appeared in many films, beginning with Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960) as the cuckolded husband, Jack. He was a regular in director Ken Russell's work, commencing with the part of Charles Pooter in Diary of a Nobody, made for BBC 2, in 1964. He also appeared alongside Norman Wisdom in the 1965 film The Early Bird. He continued to be cast in many independent films, such as Brazil, B. Monkey, and Drowning By Numbers. He played Len Wiles, the adoptive father of Terry Wiles in the BBC drama On Giant's Shoulders (1979).
Pringle is best remembered for playing Norman Wisdom's nemesis, the treacherous rival milkman Austin in "The Early Bird" (1965), Barker in the Inspector Morse episode "Deceived by Flight" in 1989, landlord Arthur Pringle in Series 2 of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, and as a friend of Eddie Royle in EastEnders in 1991. Pringle also appeared in the late 1970s in a well-known TV commercial advertising Heineken beer, in which he plays a cockney voice tutor attempting to teach a posh girl how to say with a cockney accent "The wa'er in Major'a don' tas' li' wot id ough' 'a." [written as "The water in Majorca don't taste like what it ought to"] instead of her normal "The water in Majorca doesn't taste quite how it should." After a sip of the beer she begins to pronounce it with a cockney accent.

Pierre David Guetta (7 November 1967), known professionally as David Guetta (French pronunciation: [daˌvid ɡɛˈta]), is a French house music producer and DJ. Originally a DJ at nightclubs during the 1980s and 1990s, he co-founded Gum Productions and released his first album, Just a Little More Love, in 2002. Later, he released Guetta Blaster (2004) and Pop Life (2007). His 2009 album One Love included the hit singles "When Love Takes Over" (featuring Kelly Rowland), "Gettin' Over You" (featuring Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO) and "Sexy Bitch" (featuring Akon), the last becoming a top five hit in the United States and all three reaching #1 in the United Kingdom, as well as another internationally known single called "Memories" featuring Kid Cudi which became a top five hit in many countries. Guetta has sold over three million albums and 15 million singles worldwide. He is currently one of the most sought-after music producers. As at 2012 David Guetta is the world's most popular DJ, claiming the #1 poll position of the DJ Mag 100 popularity poll.

The Dustbinmen is a British television sitcom made by Granada Television for ITV, which starred Bryan Pringle, Trevor Bannister, Graham Haberfield, and Tim Wylton. The show was a spin-off from a one-off 90-minute TV film There's a Hole in Your Dustbin, Delilah (1968) written by Jack Rosenthal and directed by Michael Apted. This led to the sitcom which ran for three series between 1969 and 1970. Rosenthal wrote all of the episodes of the first two series.
Cheese and Egg, Heavy Breathing, Winston Platt, and Eric were the crew of dustcart 'Thunderbird 3' of the Corporation Cleansing Department—the name obviously being an ironic reference to the aircraft in Thunderbirds. Also known as 'Number 3 Gang', throughout the day they would collect dustbins and generally be rude to each other or anyone else. Cheese and Egg, whose real name was C.E. Petty, was a fervent communist and the natural-born leader of the gang; with his knowledge, the gang could get out of sticky situations if they were lucky. Heavy Breathing was "the one with the good looks", forced to spend much of his time pleasuring housewives—something he finds quite annoying when mostly he would rather just have a rest. Winston Platt was a die-hard fan of Manchester City who saw one of the players Colin Bell as a god. Eric was the sensitive Welsh Coronation Street fan who spent most of time talking about television and saving to buy a colour TV for his mother.

Here's a quaint reminder of some vintage musical theatre for you. Billy opened at the Palace Theatre in Manchester before moving to the West End at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on 1 May 1974 where it ran for 904 performances.
The cast starred Michael Crawford in the title role, with Bryan Pringle (Geoffrey Fisher), Avis Bunnage (Alice Fisher), Christopher Hancock (Mr. Shadrack), Billy Boyle, Diana Quick (Liz Benson), Gay Soper (Barbara), and Elaine Paige (Rita). The production was directed by Patrick Garland with choreography by Onna White, set by Ralph Kotai, costumes by Annena Stubbs, and lighting by Jules Fisher.[1] Roy Castle replaced Crawford late in the run.
I've extracted some of the musical highlights from the show (written by the great late John Barry) which is a timely reminder of what a great and enjoyable piece of theatre it was back in the early seventies - what with Michael Crawford riding on the back of his 'Some Mothers Do Ave 'em' fame.
