Brass To Face! Glock Gen 4 G17 9mm Ejection Examined
Glock introduced its fourth generation of pistols in
2010 to great anticipation. Their dual-spring recoil assemblies and exchangable backstraps greatly improve the ergonomics and shootability of the
Gen 4 Glocks for many shooters.
However, some have reported erratic ejection paterns, the worst of which is known as "brass to face." I went to the range to show how my Gen 4 guns eject just fine only to have my
G17 let me down.
This is a
Dark Earth Gen 4 G17 with a test fire date of 3/6/12. It has a 042
RSA and the 30274 ejector. As I say in the video, it also has a
MIM extractor from the #2 mold.
