Two of my favorites Paranormal Teams, the Paranormal-X and Tom Buckmaster, join forces for a very special paranormal investigation. They visit the notoriously haunted Wombwell Woods, near Barnsley, UK, and investigate the claims of a very angry spirit, said to look like Guy Fawkes who scares those who dare to enter. There are also numerous other alleged hauntings reported, possibly as a result of the suicides, murders and unsolved deaths in the area. Witchcraft, black magic, and dark arts have also been practiced here, which in itself is fuel for paranormal activity to occur .

I stayed at the Premier Inn Barnsley Dearne Valley in August 2016, two of us stayed for one night, which cost £60 for room only, booked with booking.com. The hotel itself is not on any major public transport routes, so it is necessary to drive there or take a taxi. The hotel is located South of Wombwell, near the border with Brampton in the South East of Barnsley. This hotel is no good for Barnsley town centre, unless you want to drive there. It is around a 10 minute drive from Barnsley South / Sheffield North on the M1 (Junction 36), followed by a route along the Dearne Valley Parkway (A6195), which is interrupted by numerous annoying roundabouts.
The hotel offers free parking, and has a car park which holds approximately 150 cars. Upon entering the hotel, you go straight to reception. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick.
We were allocated room 40, which was on the first floor at the back of the hotel. The room was fairly large with a good sized double bed (please note, double not King). There was also a second single bed, which had been set out like a chaise lounge. The room had a desk, open style wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, and some drawers. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan. The room was quite warm and stuffy.
Frustratingly, there were no plug sockets next to the bed, which annoyed me slightly, as this is a brand new hotel. WHY there weren't any is an oversight on Premier Inn's behalf, and shows that the people who design these rooms don't stop in enough hotels themselves.
The bathroom was fairly standard, it was a shower over a bath arrangement (unfortunately as is often the case). There was complimentary shower gel in the shower.
At night the room was very warm, so I opened the window, however there was noise from lorries at the retail park behind, which meant that the window had to be closed, and we had to endure an uncomfortably warm night in the hotel. Again this is an oversight on behalf of Premier Inn, the room should have had air conditioning.
The hotel is built next to a Brewer's Fayre pub, which like Premier Inn is owned by parent company Whitbread. The pub serves as the hotel's bar and restaurant. We had dinner there off of the menu, but found the prices expensive and the portions small, in other words they were not good value for money dishes. There was an evening buffet option, which I'm sure must have represented better value for money. One thing that was annoying was the amount of flies in the pub, they really do need to invest in an electronic fly zapper.
Breakfast was served buffet style, continental was £6.99 and full hot breakfast was £8.99. Both options included unlimited drinks.
The quality of the food was excellent, particularly the bacon and sausages, but once again the fly problem was evident, and I saw flies crawling on the cold items of the buffet, which put me completely off of them. All items on the buffet should have hygienic covers over them.
After going out for the evening, we arrived back at the hotel for 11:30pm on Saturday night to find the bar had 'closed'. This was quite disappointing for a hotel. We did notice some of the regulars enjoying a drink 'after hours', which was a little galling to use as hotel guests who had to go to bed with a cup of tea in the bedroom.
In summary, this hotel served it's purpose, it wasn't perfect, but overall I enjoyed my stay there. I would possibly consider staying there again, but not for definite.

Coordinates: 53°30′58″N 1°24′00″W / 53.516°N 1.400°W / 53.516; -1.400
Wombwell (pronounced locally as Wum-well) is a small town near Barnsley, located in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley in South Yorkshire, England. It has a population of 11,477.
Historically within the West Riding of Yorkshire, its name's origin may mean "Womba's Well", or "well in a hollow".
Wombwell railway station (formerly Wombwell West) serves the Penistone and Hallam lines. Until 1959 it had another station (Wombwell Central) on the Barnsley-Doncaster line that was closed when that line lost its passenger service.
Wombwell was home to two collieries; Wombwell Main and Mitchells Main.
Wombwell is close to the large shopping and leisure facilities of Cortonwood, and also has a number of local business from cafes to travel agents and high street chains like Wilkinson's on High Street.

Premier Inn
'Premier Inn' is a British budget hotel chain and the UK's largest hotel brand, with more than 50,000 rooms and 700 hotels. LSE-listed Whitbread launched the chain under the "Travel Inn" brand name in 1987 to compete with Travelodge (which was owned at the time by Forte). Travel Inn was merged with Premier Lodge to form the current business, solely owned by Whitbread. The subsidiary today accounts for 70% of Whitbread's earnings. Premier Inn operates hotels at a variety of locations including city centres, suburbs and airports.
History
The chain started trading in 1987 as 'Travel Inn'. The first site to open was next to "The Watermilll" Beefeater in Basildon. In 2004, Whitbread acquired another hotel chain, Premier Lodge for £505 million. This added an additional 141 hotels to the existing portfolio and Whitbread re-branded every hotel as "Premier Travel Inn", which was shortened to "Premier Inn" later in 2007, by which time it accounted for more than 70% of the parent company's earnings.

Dearne Valley
The Dearne Valley is an area of South Yorkshire along the River Dearne. It encompasses the towns of Wombwell, Wath-upon-Dearne, Swinton, Conisbrough and Mexborough, the large villages of Ardsley, Bolton on Dearne, Goldthorpe, Thurnscoe, Darfield, Stairfoot and Brampton Bierlow, and many other smaller villages and hamlets.
In 1995 the area became a regeneration area, as it had suffered much from the sudden decline of the deep coal mining industry in the 1980s. In the 2011 census the ONS-identified Barnsley/Dearne Valley built-up area had a population of 223,281, however this region includes Barnsley and certain other smaller towns and villages that might not historically have considered themselves a part of the Dearne Valley.
History
Many high-grade coal seams, including the prolific Barnsley seam, lie close to the surface in this area. This meant that by far the most prevalent industry in the area was deep coal mining, indeed much of the economic activity of the region was either directly related to, or reliant on this industry. It was home to the Oaks viaduct, the largest man-made rail bridge in Britain until its demolition in 1965.

South Yorkshire
South Yorkshire is a metropolitan county in England. It is located in the region of Yorkshire and the Humber and had a population of 1.34 million in 2011. It has an area of 1,552 square kilometres (599 sq mi) and consists of four metropolitan boroughs, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. South Yorkshire was created on 1 April 1974 as a result of the Local Government Act 1972.
Lying on the east side of the Pennines, South Yorkshire is landlocked, and borders Derbyshire to the west and south-west, West Yorkshire to the north-west, North Yorkshire to the north, the East Riding of Yorkshire to the north-east, Lincolnshire to the east and Nottinghamshire to the south-east. The Sheffield Urban Area is the tenth most populous conurbation in the UK, and dominates the western half of South Yorkshire with over half of the county's population living within it. South Yorkshire lies within the Sheffield City Region.
South Yorkshire County Council was abolished in 1986 and its metropolitan boroughs are now effectively unitary authorities, although the metropolitan county continues to exist in law. As a ceremonial county, South Yorkshire has a Lord Lieutenant and a High Sheriff.

I stayed at the Premier Inn Barnsley Dearne Valley in August 2016, two of us stayed for one night, which cost £60 for room only, booked with booking.com. The hotel itself is not on any major public transport routes, so it is necessary to drive there or take a taxi. The hotel is located South of Wombwell, near the border with Brampton in the South East of Barnsley. This hotel is no good for Barnsley town centre, unless you want to drive there. It is around a 10 minute drive from Barnsley South / Sheffield North on the M1 (Junction 36), followed by a route along the Dearne Valley Parkway (A6195), which is interrupted by numerous annoying roundabouts.
The hotel offers free parking, and has a car park which holds approximately 150 cars. Upon entering the hotel, you go straight to reception. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick.
We were allocated room 40, which was on the first floor at the back of the hotel. The room was fairly large with a good sized double bed (please note, double not King). There was also a second single bed, which had been set out like a chaise lounge. The room had a desk, open style wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, and some drawers. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan. The room was quite warm and stuffy.
Frustratingly, there were no plug sockets next to the bed, which annoyed me slightly, as this is a brand new hotel. WHY there weren't any is an oversight on Premier Inn's behalf, and shows that the people who design these rooms don't stop in enough hotels themselves.
The bathroom was fairly standard, it was a shower over a bath arrangement (unfortunately as is often the case). There was complimentary shower gel in the shower.
At night the room was very warm, so I opened the window, however there was noise from lorries at the retail park behind, which meant that the window had to be closed, and we had to endure an uncomfortably warm night in the hotel. Again this is an oversight on behalf of Premier Inn, the room should have had air conditioning.
The hotel is built next to a Brewer's Fayre pub, which like Premier Inn is owned by parent company Whitbread. The pub serves as the hotel's bar and restaurant. We had dinner there off of the menu, but found the prices expensive and the portions small, in other words they were not good value for money dishes. There was an evening buffet option, which I'm sure must have represented better value for money. One thing that was annoying was the amount of flies in the pub, they really do need to invest in an electronic fly zapper.
Breakfast was served buffet style, continental was £6.99 and full hot breakfast was £8.99. Both options included unlimited drinks.
The quality of the food was excellent, particularly the bacon and sausages, but once again the fly problem was evident, and I saw flies crawling on the cold items of the buffet, which put me completely off of them. All items on the buffet should have hygienic covers over them.
After going out for the evening, we arrived back at the hotel for 11:30pm on Saturday night to find the bar had 'closed'. This was quite disappointing for a hotel. We did notice some of the regulars enjoying a drink 'after hours', which was a little galling to use as hotel guests who had to go to bed with a cup of tea in the bedroom.
In summary, this hotel served it's purpose, it wasn't perfect, but overall I enjoyed my stay there. I would possibly consider staying there again, but not for definite.

I stayed at the Maldron Hotel in Tallaght in May 2016, two of us stayed with bed and breakfast for £147 (187 Euro) on a Saturday and Sunday night booked with booking.com. This film features the following: exterior shots of the hotel; the reception and lobby area; a detailed room review of 6004, including the bedroom, bathroom / utility room and kitchen area; views from 6004 balcony over Mackay Marina; the swimming pool; the lift / elevator and Mackay Marina.
This was a great hotel, the staff were fantastic and the swimming pool whilst pretty chilly was amazing. My only gripe was that the safe in the room didn't work. I would definitely stay at this hotel again though.

Review: Maldron Hotel, Tallaght, Dublin - Ireland, May 2016.
I stayed at the Maldron Hotel in Tallaght in May 2016, two of us stayed with bed and breakfast for £147 (187 Euro) on a Saturday and Sunday night booked with booking.com.
The hotel is in a modern building and looks impressive from the outside. On the inside there are some signs of wear and tear, and in places refurbishment would not go astray. With that said our bedroom on the third floor (301), was very nice and had been refurbished in recent years. We had a very large balcony, which gave us a good view of the Shamrock Rovers football ground.
The room had tea and coffee making facilities, ample storage, a good sized bed, and was easily spacious enough for us. The bathroom was modern and refurbished. The hotel breakfast buffet was very good indeed, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
I was not as enamoured with the swimming pool as I thought I would be. It needed some refurbishment, and was quite busy, making it difficult to have a decent swim. It was also a bit of a circuitous route getting to it, and the waterfall / massage beds were not in working order.
The main disadvantage of staying in this hotel was its physical location from Dublin city centre. The tram ride, whilst enjoyable for the first time became onerous, and we also found reluctance from taxi drivers to take us to Tallaght, one even wanted 'danger money' as an extra, due to the area being 'unsafe'.
If you are wanting Radisson Blu luxury, this hotel is not for you, but if you want cheap and fairly decent accommodation, and you don't mind the tram ride into the centre of Dublin, then this hotel could work for you.

Barnsley is a large town in South Yorkshire, England, located halfway between Leeds and Sheffield. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the town centre lies on the west bank of the Dearne Valley.
Barnsley is surrounded by several smaller settlements which together form the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, of which Barnsley is the largest and its administrative centre. The first bottle bank for glass recycling collection in the United Kingdom was introduced by both Stanley Race CBE, then president of the Glass Manufacturers' Federation and Ron England in Barnsley. According to a BBC Radio 4 edition of PM aired on 6 June 2007, and a web article, the bank opened in June 1977[22] but a BBC web article published in 2002 states that the bottle bank opened on 24 August 1977.
In May 2017 a new landmark was commissioned by Barnsley Borough Council to commemorate the 'Hippopopig Rhinocerous' breeding.
Cinematographer Denzill Smith who captured the extraordinary event stated that the mating ritual between the Hippopotamus and Rhinoceros was a 'rare event'.

Barnsley is a large town in South Yorkshire, England, located halfway between Leeds and Sheffield. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the town centre lies on the west bank of the Dearne Valley.
Barnsley is surrounded by several smaller settlements which together form the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, of which Barnsley is the largest and its administrative centre. The town is accessed from junctions 36, 37 and 38 of the M1 motorway and has a railway station on the Hallam and Penistone Lines. Barnsley F.C. is the local football club.

I personally loved it! We visited Harder Kulm, which is located 1322 m above the sea level and has one of the most epic views. Feltham is a suburban town in the London Borough of Hounslow in west London, England, 13.0 miles west of central London and 2 miles south of Heathrow Airport. It is the site of Feltham Young Offenders' Institution.
Feltham formed an ancient parish in the Spelthorne hundred of Middlesex. The Domesday Book records 21 households and an annual value of six pounds sterling; it was held as lord and tenant-in-chief by Robert, Count of Mortain. A large area of ten cultivated ploughlands is recorded. Following Mortain's son's forfeit of lands (William's rebellion triggering the attainder), the land was granted to the Redvers/de Ripariis/Rivers family.
However the large manor itself passed 40 years later in 1631 by grant to Francis (Lord) Cottington, established at his new Hanworth Park, who had become Lord Treasurer, ambassador and leader of the pro-Spanish, pro-Roman Catholic faction in the court of Charles I. His nephew sold it, after a major fire and a very temporary loss caused by John Bradshaw, who arranged the King's execution, under the Commonwealth of England, to Sir Thomas Chamber(s). His son inherited Feltham manor, whose daughter by an empowering marriage to Admiral Vere (created Lord Vere) of Hanworth in the same historic county of Middlesex (created for him 1750) led to its next owner having a very high title and degree of wealth: her son, Aubrey Beauclerk, 5th Duke of St Albans inherited the manor and a dukedom with considerable land from a cousin.
Feltham Urban District (colloquially known as Feltham council) was disbanded in 1965, along with the Middlesex County Council. It should be noted, however, that though for administrative purposes Feltham is now part of Greater London the geographic and historic county of Middlesex was never abolished by statute. A poll on the Feltham, Hanworth and Bedfont Appreciation Society group on Facebook found that Feltham residents overwhelmingly continue to identify their home county as Middlesex.
Although opened in 1910, major expansion took place in a similar period, at the extreme south-west of the post town, at Feltham Young Offenders' Institution or HM Prison Feltham, which is a major such institution providing a range of employments and rehabilitation schemes for young people. near the town's border with Ashford and the neighbouring village of East Bedfont.
The land is relatively flat but well-drained, and Feltham is centred 13.5 miles (21.7 km) west south west of central London at Charing Cross and 2 miles (3.2 km) from Heathrow Airport. The neighbouring settlements are Hounslow, Ashford, East Bedfont (including Hatton), Sunbury-on-Thames, Cranford and Hanworth.
Nearby Hatton Cross tube station, which is on the Heathrow branch of the Piccadilly line provides a Central London and Heathrow rail option to Feltham, with bus routes 90, 117, 235, 285, 490, H25 and H26 running frequent services through the town. The town is served by all passenger trains, including semi-fast trains through Feltham railway station, except for some weekend specially timetabled steam trains, with services terminating at Waterloo. On the Waterloo to Reading Line, the other terminus is Reading. Two branch line services operate on the line here, to Windsor and Weybridge. The town has London Buses services to Kingston upon Thames, Richmond, Brentford, Heathrow, Staines-upon-Thames, Northolt, Isleworth and Sunbury on Thames. Intervening places such as Hayes, Hounslow, Hampton Court/Hampton and Ashford are called at.

The common name for the Executive Wing of the New Zealand Parliament Buildings. It is so-called because of its shape is reminiscent of that of a traditional woven form of beehive known as a "skep".

Consists of the War Memorial Carillon, the Hall of Memories, and an unknown New Zealand warrior interred in a tomb constructed in 2004 in front of the Hall of Memories.The memorial officially remembers the New Zealanders who gave their lives in the South African War, World War II and the wars in Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam.

A Catholic church on the corner of Boulcott Street and O'Reily Avenue. The current building was opened in 1922, and is the third church built on the Boulcott Street site.
07. Wrights Hill Fortress
A counter bombardment coastal artillery battery in the Karori suburb. Was built between 1942 and 1947 and is predominantly underground, with numerous tunnels linking the war shelters, gun emplacements, magazines, plotting rooms and engine room.
08. Zealandia
A protected natural area where the biodiversity of 225 ha of forest is being restored. Formerly known as the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary was previously part of the water catchment area, between Wrights Hill and the Brooklyn wind turbine on Polhill.
09. Te Papa Tongarewa
The national museum and art gallery of New Zealand. It is branded and commonly known as Te Papa and Our Place; "Te Papa Tongarewa" is broadly translatable as "the place of treasures of this land".
10. Space Place at Carter Observatory
Houses two main telescopes within its main building and a third telescope nearby. Re-opened in March 2010 with a new exhibition and digital planetarium celebrating the culture, heritage and science of the Southern Skies.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was convenient, in-between the old town and castle. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in future.
