3CR Film Fundraiser

Bring your friends for a movie night out at 3CR’s screening of the new political comedy ‘Pride’ on Thursday 6 November. Set in the Margaret Thatcher’s England in the summer of 84, ‘Pride’ is the story of how a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists join forces with the National Union of Mineworkers to raise money to support the strikers' families.

'If People Powered Radio: 40 Years of 3CR' is a collaboration between Fitzroy's oldest community radio station and one of Fitzroy's oldest galleries and studio complex, Gertrude Contemporary.

Thanks to some friends of 3CR and the Lomond Hotel for organising this fundraiser and giving us a chance to hear some uplifting music in the spirit of Joe Hill, IWW organiser and influential songwriter. A man who inspired Woody Guthrie, Paul Robeson, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Bruce Springsteen and countless others. $10 waged/ $5 concession.
