Authorities Rule Out Suicide in Prince's Death

Law enforcement authorities said in a press conference Friday that they do not believe the cause of Prince's death to be suicide.
Sheriff Jim Olson of the Carver County Sheriff's office said that while the results of a full autopsy will take weeks to process, there were "no obvious signs of trauma on the body" and there was "no reason to believe this was a suicide."
Prince was reportedly treated for a drug overdose shortly before his death.
Like people all over the world, Olson sounded heartbroken over Prince's death too in his remarks. "To you, Prince Rogers Nelson was a celebrity. To us, he was a community member and a good neighbor," said Olson. "In life, he was a very private person. We're going to continue to respect his privacy and his dignity and hope you do as well."
