What this list is for This list is for the Sheffield (UK) Independent Media Centre -- if you are in the Sheffield area and are interested in getting involved you will be welcome on this list. In addition this list will hopefully coordinate, organise and assist in training people to enable them get involved with the UK and global Indymedia websites. Open List -- Open Archive Please note that this list has an open archive -- if you want to be anonymous you will need to make sure that you email account is not publically associated with you. This list was set up so that non-list members can post to it, however this resulted in lots of spam being sent to list members, so non non-members emails are held for approval, however some appear to be auto-discarded so if you want to post the the list the best bet is to join it first. Using imc-sheffield
To post a message to all the list members, send email to imc-sheffield@lists.indymedia.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to imc-sheffield
Subscribe to imc-sheffield by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
