In response to the challenges associated with demographic changes and an ageing membership base, Kempsey Macleay RSL became one of the first clubs in Australia to own and operate and indoor play centre as part of its facilities as opposed to leasing space to a third party operator. The 500m2 centre offers child friendly facilities and uses the intellectual property of the Tabatinga Family Fun Centre. Established in September 2013 the Tabatinga Play Centre has enabled the club to better connect with local families, use non-core space within the club, generate greater profits from function centre rooms, reduce the reliance on gaming revenue and grow membership in the 18 – 40 year age group. Congratulations Tabatinga Kempsey.
