Watch it in HD 740p/1080p and Enjoy! My final flight of the TK Business Class series. In this episode, join me on board the A330-200 as we head back to Riyadh. One of double daily flights sees a departure at dusk only to arrive just before midnight local time. TK 140 offers a wide body A330 albeit the 200 which have been among the TK fleet much longer than their 300 counterparts. Join me, and let let me know what you think. They do offer much choice to mainline hub airports as well as less underserved destinations across europe and central asia and thus can prove to be a smart choice to fly with. - Ground service: Is not a strong point. Nothing special at RUH, or RTM not even at their hub of IST. More on the TK CIP lounge in a separate video to be uploaded soon. - Business Class Cabin : Nothing unusual on the A321, sadly the 737s flown didn't offer "Boeing Sky Interior". The A330-200 did have some mood lighting which was nice to see on an older aircraft. Cabins were clean enough but there was no attention to detail to properly maintain seats parts on the A321 and 737. - Seats: On the A321 the seats were standard single aisle aircraft business class seats with nice tone colors. On the European 737 the cabin was disappointing being a classic 3-3 configuration with better leg room and reserved middle seat, not surprising as this is seen with many European carriers. On the A330-200 overall adequate but personally I would think an upgrade with better design and colors may be needed. The recliner seats would suffice for medium haul flights. - IFE: On the A321/A332 the IFE was AVOD but not HD. Variety needs much improvement. On the 737 no PTVs but over head screens that screened random movies that was not to my liking. The noise cancelling headphones were not the best. - Amenity kits: None (expected as these were not long haul flights) - Inflight service: Attentiveness of the FA varied widely, but all had done their duties professionally and I have no complaints. Some more friendly than others particularly those on the Rotterdam sectors. - Food and Drink: This is where TK shines. In years past on my first trip with TK I was very pleased with the economy class catering, now in business class I was pleased with the service provided, quality and quantity of the meals. I feel TK offers some of the best meals in the sky. The signature TK lemon mint drink is really no signature drink as many other ME carriers claim the same. Their OJ is truly freshly squeezed and a joy to drink. As usual dinner meals are much more appealing than breakfast ones. VERDICT Turkish Airlines is a true viable option that should always be considered particularly if you fly Star Alliance. With outstanding meals in business class even on non-long haul flights. TK needs some tweaks in the cabin, IFE and ground service and is in desperate need of a modern hub. Luckily this is now in the early stages of being built and is to be a mega hub.
