The Turia or Túria (Valencian: Riu Túria [ˈriw ˈtuɾia]; Spanish: Río Turia [ˈri.o ˈtuɾja]; Latin: Turia) is a Spanish river which has its source in the Montes Universales in the mountain ranges of the northwesternmost end of the Sistema Ibérico, Teruel province. From its source to roughly the city of Teruel, it is called Guadalaviar river. It runs through the provinces of Teruel, Cuenca and Valencia, and discharges into the Mediterranean sea near the city of Valencia.
The river is famous for its floods. The flood which occurred on the 14th of October 1957, known as the Great Flood of Valencia, flooded large part of the city of Valencia, and produced a great deal of damage to both life and property. To prevent this from happening in the future, a diversion project was devised (Plan Sur de Valencia) and the river was divided in two at the western city limits. During floods, most of the water is diverted southwards along a new course that skirts the city, until it meets the Mediterranean. The old course of the river has been turned into a central green-space for the city, a cultural attraction known as the garden of the Turia.
Turia may refer to:
The beating heart of Valencia. Used to be a river which flooded the city regular so officials decided to redirect the river and the people of Valencia fought to turn it into a park. Read all about it on our Valencia Blog: http://valencia.for91days.com/the-turia-riverbed-park/

Instructions on how to ride the Turia River bike trail from Lliria to Valencia. It's downhill all the way if you take the train from Valencia to Lliria. It's easy to find your way and it's a lot of fun, not to mention beautiful. Just once I'd like to make a good video of my bike rides in and around Valencia but this one isn't it. In this video we have a fairly shitty depiction of a pretty great little bike ride that I do regularly. I like using the local trains and the metro to extend my day trips out of downtown Valencia where I live. I get bored of doing this route round-trip although it seems a little like cheating to only do the downhill part. I actually love going uphill so sometimes I go up and take the train home.

http://bookinghunter.com Valencia is the third largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona. Valencia is situated on the banks of the Turia river, on the eastern coast of the Iberian peninsula and the western part of the Mediterranean Sea, fronting the Gulf of Valencia. The most important places to visit in Valencia are: Cathedral of Valencia (if seen from the top the Latin cross shape of cathedral can be seen. Holy Grail can be seen in one of the cathedral's chapels), Bioparc (it is not another zoo! Make sure you have enough free space on your flash-card), Museum of Science (if you short in time or if you visited something similar in Germany or France you might skip this option, but if you have 1 day, you can buy a combined ticket to visit this museum too), Oceanografic (worth visi...

Forever... is not long enough...
For everything... you have for... me...
Now this took me by surprise...
I can grasp the best part of my life.
So I waited for the right way to state the stated
Just the other day... We would say forever.
I lost myself... when i saw you...
I took your hand and placed it in mine...
To be with you... forever... here on after...
It wasn't hard for me to figure out...
Security without any doubts.
So I waited for the right way to state the stated
Just the other day... we would say...
Forever... is not long enough...
For everything... you have for... me.
Forever... is not long enough...
For everything... you have for... me.
(Say forever)
I cannot take this in,
I've been dead for far too long as it is,
Take no regrets, instead embrace this,
And we will take our, harmony.
I lost myself... when i saw you...
I took your hand and placed it in mine...
