In this video we showcase the Chinese Norinco SKS. This particular rifle is a commercial import which never saw military use such as the Chinese Type 56 rifles did. Occasionally these rifles can be found in pristine condition, all matching with the original stocks. A lot of people frown upon the SKS as a sub par rifle in form and function, but we beg to differ...they are great short range rifles that are lightweight, accurate, of moderate caliber, easy to handle with a very simple and intuitive manual of arms. Also, don't think that because this was made in China that is is junk, the Chinese make an exceptional SKS.

The SKS is a Soviet semi-automatic carbine chambered for the 7.62×39mm round, designed in 1943 by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. Its complete designation, SKS-45, is an initialism for Samozaryadnyj Karabin sistemy Simonova, 1945 (Russian: Самозарядный карабин системы Симонова, 1945; Self-loading Carbine of (the) Simonov system, 1945), or SKS 45. In the early 1950s, the Soviets took the SKS carbine out of front-line service and replaced it with the AK-47; however, the SKS remained in second-line service for decades. It is still used as a ceremonial arm today. The SKS was widely exported, and was also produced by some former Eastern Bloc nations as well as China, where it was designated the "Type 56", East Germany as the Karabiner S and in North Korea as the "Type 63". The SKS is currently popular on the civilian surplus market in many countries, including the United States, Canada and New Zealand. It was one of the first weapons chambered for the 7.62×39mm M43 round, which was also used later in the AK-47. a Great Choice!

Everybody is so quick to discount the SKS out of the category that the AK-47 and AR15 are in. In my opinion the SKS is a better weapon than the AK-47. When I say that, everyone always comes back with "it has a 10 round magazine, my **whatever*** has 30 rounds. The SKS lacks capacity". Well, here is my response to that. A quick and easy way to turn your inadequate SKS into a true "assault rifle". Suck on that Feinstein! Except we all know that a SKS will never be an assault rifle. To do that it needs full auto capability

This is a home made bump fire stock based on the Slide Fire bump fire stock. What's unique about this is that it's the first one created for the SKS. Be careful if you try this at home. I had a squib round while doing this. your gun could blow up!!! Many people have asked me to create and sell one to them. I will not do this. don't bother asking. This is a home made copy of a patented product. If you want to buy one then go directly to Slide Fire. Otherwise this is home made. There exists a "how to" video of how I did this but I basically showcase the parts and leave it to you to figure out how to assemble them. This one particular stock worked on my AK, Saiga-12, SKS and Ruger 10/22. it's a tapco stock that has the grip attached to it via two metal bars. The stock itself slides freely on the buffer tube. This is a home made bump fire stock based on the Slide Fire bump fire stock. What's unique about this is that it's the first one created for the SKS. Be careful if you try this at home. I had a squib round while doing this. your gun could blow up!!! Many people have asked me to create and sell one to them. I will not do this. don't bother asking. This is a home made copy of a patented product. If you want to buy one then go directly to Slide Fire. Otherwise this is home made.
