In this episode, I interview award-winning screenwriter, director and producer, Kevin Miller. And we discuss his provocative, critically acclaimed documentary Hellbound? which, in Kevin’s words, “seeks to discover why we are so bound to the idea of hell and what our views on hell reveal about how we perceive God, justice, the Bible and, ultimately, ourselves.”

TIME TO PLAY Picking up right where the events of Hellraiser left off, Hellbound: Hellraiser II expands upon the terrifying universe created in Clive Barker's original film – taking us into the very depths of Hell itself. Having escaped the clutches of the Cenobites at 55 Ludovico Street, Kirsty Cotton awakens to finds herself detained at the Channard Institute, a hospital for the mentally ill. The doctors and authorities alike are less than convinced by her tales of demonic beings from another realm, and a mysterious puzzle box which can be used to summon them – all except for Dr Channard himself, a man whose unhealthy curiosity will see the Cenobites called upon once again to wreak unholy chaos. Chuck Norris
Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born March 10, 1940) is an American martial artist, actor, film producer and screenwriter. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began his rise to fame as a martial artist, and has since founded his own school, Chun Kuk Do.
Norris appeared in a number of action films, such as Way of the Dragon, in which he starred alongside Bruce Lee, and was The Cannon Group's leading star in the 1980s. He played the starring role in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger from 1993 until 2001.
Norris is a devout Christian and politically conservative. He has written several books on Christianity and donated to a number of Republican candidates and causes. In 2007 and 2008, he campaigned for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who was running for the Republican nomination for president in 2008. Norris also writes a column for the conservative website WorldNetDaily. Since 2005 Norris has been widely associated with an internet meme which documents fictional and often absurd feats associated with him.

Daniel P Carter gains exclusive access to the band backstage at the final show of their first UK tour in six years. Here he catches up with band members Corey Taylor, Shawn Crahan and Jim Root about their long awaited return to the UK following the death of founding member Paul Gray and the departure of drummer Joey Jordison. If so, how can a loving God allow millions of people to suffer in a place of eternal conscious torment?
In this episode, I interview award-winning screenwriter, director and producer, Kevin Miller. And we discuss his provocative, critically acclaimed documentary Hellbound? which, in Kevin’s words, “seeks to discover why we are so bound to the idea of hell and what our views on hell reveal about how we perceive God, justice, the Bible and, ultimately, ourselves.”
IN THIS EPISODE, KEVIN ANSWERS THE FOLLOWING:
• Why do so many loving Christians still believe in hell?
• When did you start questioning hell?
• I once heard you say that the “belief in hell creates hell.” What did you mean?
• Where does the imagery of hell (fire, darkness, torture) come from?
• If someone believes in the Christian God, does he or she have to believe in hell, too?
• Is hell part of the Christian message?
• What did the early church believe about hell?
• It’s often said that Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven. Is that true?

Having escaped the clutches of the Cenobites at 55 Ludovico Street, Kirsty Cotton awakens to finds herself detained at the Channard Institute, a hospital for the mentally ill. The doctors and authorities alike are less than convinced by her tales of demonic beings from another realm, and a mysterious puzzle box which can be used to summon them – all except for Dr Channard himself, a man whose unhealthy curiosity will see the Cenobites called upon once again to wreak unholy chaos. I have never actually read the tale The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker on which the film is based, but beneath some of the once revolutionary and now admittedly kinda cheesy make-up effects and Larry’s odd character quirks, you can see the artistry and the darkness that’s bubbling within ... But again, this was the 80’s ... ....

Fortunately, from here things only look up ... www.sacmusicfest.com ... An abundance of Sacramento talent including Massive Delicious, Arden Park Roots, Hellbound Glory, Ideateam and the indelible Zuhg head for the hills for what’s sure to be a rowdy campout (with off-roading?)....
