Nathaniel Adams Coles (March 17, 1919 – February 15, 1965), known professionally as Nat King Cole, was an American singer who first came to prominence as a leading jazz pianist. He was widely noted for his soft, baritone voice, which he used to perform in big band and jazz genres, becoming a major force in popular music for three decades. Cole was one of the first African Americans to host a national television variety show, The Nat King Cole Show, and has maintained worldwide popularity since his death from lung cancer in February 1965.
Nathaniel Adams Coles was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 17, 1919. Cole had three brothers: Eddie (1910–1970), Ike (1927–2001), and Freddy (born 1931), and a half-sister, Joyce Coles. Each of Cole's brothers would later pursue careers in music as well. When Cole was four years old, he and his family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where his father, Edward Coles, became a Baptist minister. Cole learned to play the organ from his mother, Perlina Coles, the church organist. His first performance was of "Yes! We Have No Bananas" at age four. He began formal lessons at 12, eventually learning not only jazz and gospel music, but also Western classical music, performing, as he said, "from Johann Sebastian Bach to Sergei Rachmaninoff".
Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra (/sᵻˈnɑːtrə/; December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) was an American singer, actor, producer, and director, who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. Sinatra's music has been considered timeless by many. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Italian immigrants, he began his musical career in the swing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey. He found success as a solo artist after being signed by Columbia Records in 1943, becoming the idol of the "bobby soxers". He released his first album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra, in 1946. Sinatra's professional career had stalled by the early 1950s, and he turned to Las Vegas, where he became one of its best known performers as part of the Rat Pack. His career was reborn in 1953 with the success of From Here to Eternity and his subsequent Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He signed with Capitol Records and released several critically lauded albums, including In the Wee Small Hours (1955), Songs for Swingin' Lovers! (1956), Come Fly with Me (1958), Only the Lonely (1958) and Nice 'n' Easy (1960).

Nat's last recording session came on Dec. 3, 1964 completing his soon-to-be released L.O.V.E album. "L-O-V-E" was one of the three songs Nat recorded that day, and he would pass away less than 3 months from the date of this session. Nat knew at the time of this recording that he was headed to the hospital. Thank You for all who leave great comments. I appreciate your comments. I'm glad to have made this video. Thank you for watching. Nat King Cole sings "When I Fall in Love"
Here it is the Complete wold famous BBC TV special from 1963 September by Nat King cole in HD resolution. I gave a little high and low pass with Equalizer to the sound and then I normalised it to max volume. Unfortunatelly Nat's voice is still sounds indirectly, but it's the technician's mistake who forgot to stick a hidden microphone on his suite before the show started. I also gave a more strength to the picture too... A little sharpness and a little detail enhancer for more detail, maybe a little too much of them. But I hope the result won't get dissapointed anyone. Hope you'll like it, cause I do. Honestly he's my all time favorite singer and performer.
**LYRICS BELOW** Nat King Cole LIVE in HD from the BBC special "An Evening With Nat Cole" singing the romantic Victor Young Composition "When I Fall In Love" from 1963. Nat Cole is supported here by Ted Heath's Orchestra. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- LYRICS: When I fall in love it will be forever Or I'll never fall in love In a restless world like this is Love is ended before it's begun And too many moonlight kisses Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun When I give my heart it will be completely Or I'll never give my heart And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too Is when I fall in love with you. And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too Is when I fall in love with you.

Nat Cole is supported here by Ted Heath's Orchestra. ------------------------------------------------------------ LYRICS: Unforgettable, that's what you are Unforgettable, though near or far Like a song of love that clings to me How the thought of you does things to me Never before has someone been more Unforgettable in every way And forever more, that's how you'll stay That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable Thinks that I am unforgettable too Unforgettable in every way And forever more, that's how you'll stay That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable Thinks that I am unforgettable too

From Season 14 (1963-1964), broadcast January 21, 1964: Nat King Cole opens the show singing "Day In, Day Out." He exchanges some ribbing with Jack and performs "When I Fall in Love." Jack invites a few musicians from the orchestra to join him in his office to rehearse "Sweet Sue," a number they're going to perform with Cole. A fight between the musicians leaves the drummer out of commission, so Nat promises to have his cousin fill in. On the show, the "cousin" is a five-year-old who can drum louder than Jack's violin solo.
In this video Sammy Davis, Jr. imitates Nat King Cole as he yucks it up with the smoothing singing legend, and Nat King Cole really gets a kick out of Sammy's over the top impersonation of his singing style. Sammy Davis, Jr. had an amazing knack for impersonation and often incorporated that into his act. Sammy Davis, Jr. was one of the finest tap dancer ever, as well as being one of hell of an all round entertainer. Starting on the boards of vaudeville as a child, Sammy grew up to become a dancer, singer, musician, actor and fine comedian. Arthur Silber, Jr. and Sammy Davis, Jr., starting in 1950, were best friends and business partners for over 25 years. Their association involved shared success and shared failure, shared pain and shared joy, for when they started together Sammy...

The Marciano Interviews - Part Three Main Event TV Series 1961 Guests: Nat King Cole, Jimmy Durante, George Raft 16mm Sound Transfer, 15 Minutes This is the third installment of interviews that Rocky Marciano conducted among the 30 episodes of his 1961 television program, Main Event. Each program would include a brief interview with Marciano and his guest, either an artist, entertainer, sports figure or a celebrity. The program would also feature a period or classic fight, which Rocky would narrate, and then discuss with his guest. In retrospect, the interviews themselves have become classics, which is why I wanted to show them. This footage comes from my collection of 16mm prints. Two Singers and a Gangster Of the three guests seen here, only Nat King Cole may be familiar to younge...

This is my recording for the prestigious RED record label of Italy, owned by the legendary Sergio Veschi. Sax titan Joe Henderson referred to this label as "The Blue Note Records of Europe." When I'd first conceived of becoming a recording artist, I had 3 specific goals in mind. This tribute to my childhood inspiration was one of these goals made a reality. When I mentioned my idea to some years before this record, they told me: "You'll need a good vocalist for a Nat tribute." As one who has always believed in defying conventional perceptions and naysayers, I attempted to make my horn the vocalist on this recording. Consequently, it is up to you to determine if I've succeed in my quest. :-) I want to thank Mr. Sergio Veschi for bringing my goal (of paying homage to my most elegant child...
Let me entertain you
Rang through my head
I was a reckless child
And I did what he said
People came
From miles around
To hear the sound
That was tearing up the town
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're a god
(Baby you're an icon)
(Maybe you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're a dog
The next batter up
Was a man
A scary man
With the golden hands
He brought his axe
To bury the tracks
No mortal man
Could follow his act
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're god
You can't refrain
From going insane
It's what you want to do
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're a god
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Maybe you're god
Now that rock & roll's in the palm of our hands
We take it to the people every chance that we can
We are the party that never ends
Live by these words until we meet again
You can't refrain
From going insane
It's what you want to do
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're a god
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're god
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're a god
(Maybe you're an icon)
(Baby you're a hard on)
Or maybe you're god
Whoa! It's time for the show babe
N-n-n-n-no!
Whoa! Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Time for the show
