In this exclusive interview, Dileep speaks about his views on social media targeting, his business, his personal life, and so on. Janapriyanayakan Dileep also talks about his brotherly relation with director Lal Jose whom he considers as an elder brother and Nadirsha his bosom friend in the film industry. Dileep's interview with Manorama Online was shot a few days before the Amar Akbar Anthony was released. Here in his interview he also speaks why he was not given a role in his friend Nadir Shah's movie.
Dileep commonly known as 'Janapriyanayakan' is one of the top heroes in Malayalam film industry. Apart from acting, he is a singer, comedian, impressionist and producer. So far, he has acted in over 120 Malayalam films. He started his film career as an assistant director to Director Kamal in 1992. He became popular for his impressionist stage shows and the Comicola television comedy series. Dileep produced Twenty 20 by casting most of the mainstream actors of Malayalam cinema including Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi. The film was one of the highest grossing Malayalam films at that time. He produced the multi-starrer in order to raise funds for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).

Dileep (born Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai on 27 October 1968) is an Indian film actor, singer, comedian, impressionist and producer. He has been featured in more than 100 Malayalam films.
Dileep started his film career as an assistant director to Kamal in 1992. He became popular for his impressionist stage shows and the Comicola television comedy series on Asianet. His role as Dileep in Manathe Kottaram (1994) paved way to his acting career. Films such as Sallapam (1996), Ee Puzhayum Kadannu (1997), Punjabi House (1998) and Udayapuram Sulthan (1999) established Dileep's status as a prominent actor during the late 1990s.
Joker (2000), Meesa Madhavan (2002),Runway and Chanthupottu (2005) were some of the most significant films in Dileep's career.[2] He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his role as Madhavan in Meesa Madhavan. He won his first Kerala State Film Award (Special Jury) for his performance in Kunjikoonan (2002) and later won the Best Actor Award for the film Vellaripravinte Changathi.
He ventured into production, and produced and starred in C.I.D. Moosa (2003) under the banner Graand Production.[3] Kathavasheshan (2004) won Dileep the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Film as a producer. In 2008, under the banner of Graand Production, Dileep produced Twenty:20 by casting most of the mainstream actors of Malayalam cinema, which had become the highest grossing Malayalam film at that time. He produced the multi-starrer in order to raise funds for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).

Runway (Malayalam:റണ്വേ) is a 2004 Malayalam crime drama film written by Udayakrishna and Siby K. Thomas and directed by Joshiy. It stars Dileep, Indrajith, Murali, Kavya Madhavan and Harisree Ashokan.

Dileep (Malayalam: ദിലീപ്; born Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai on 27 October 1968) is an Indian film actor, mimicry artist and producer best known for his work in Malayalam cinema.
Dileep was born on 27 October 1968 in Aluva, Ernakulam district, Kerala to Padmanabhan Pillai and Sarojam. He studied at S.N.V. Sadanam School and Vidyadhiraja Vidya Bhavan High School, then joined Aluva U.C. College, and then transferred to Maharaja's College in Ernakulam. His talent for acting was not known in school and college, where he rarely won any accolades or merits. During 1985–1987 he tried to perform as a mimicry artist at UC College but was not successful. On joining Maharaja's College for a B.A. in History in 1989, Dileep started to take mimicry seriously. Mimicry was only getting its roots in Kerala at the time. Dileep gained fame in mimicry by imitating Mohanlal and Innocent. He gained entry into Malayalam cinema through actorJayaram who recommended him to director Kamal to work as an assistant director. Dileep commonly known as 'Janapriyanayakan' is one of the top heroes in Malayalam film industry. Apart from acting, he is a singer, comedian, impressionist and producer. So far, he has acted in over 120 Malayalam films. He started his film career as an assistant director to Director Kamal in 1992. He became popular for his impressionist stage shows and the Comicola television comedy series. Dileep produced Twenty 20 by casting most of the mainstream actors of Malayalam cinema including Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi. The film was one of the highest grossing Malayalam films at that time. He produced the multi-starrer in order to raise funds for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).

Dileep started his film career as an assistant director to Kamal in 1992. He became popular for his impressionist stage shows and the Comicola television comedy series on Asianet. His role as Dileep in Manathe Kottaram (1994) paved way to his acting career. Films such as Sallapam (1996), Ee Puzhayum Kadannu (1997), Punjabi House (1998) and Udayapuram Sulthan (1999) established Dileep's status as a prominent actor during the late 1990s.
Joker (2000), Meesa Madhavan (2002),Runway and Chanthupottu (2005) were some of the most significant films in Dileep's career.[2] He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his role as Madhavan in Meesa Madhavan. He won his first Kerala State Film Award (Special Jury) for his performance in Kunjikoonan (2002) and later won the Best Actor Award for the film Vellaripravinte Changathi.
He ventured into production, and produced and starred in C.I.D. The show aims to test the culinary skills of the selected contestants to find the 'Dhe Chef of The Year'.
