The Perfect Prescription is the second studio album by Spacemen 3. September 1987

It is a concept album, "a vision of a drug trip from inception to its blasted conclusion, highs and lows fully intact." The music becomes progressively more orchestral and serene until the high of the trip, represented by "Ecstasy Symphony"/"Transparent Radiation (Flashback)," moving on to the moment of realisation where the high has faded and the comedown ensues, represented by the harsh opening guitar chords in "Things'll Never Be the Same." Coming down is represented in the blues based "Come Down Easy," whilst the potentially fatal effects of an overdose are portrayed in the final track "Call the Doctor." The music was written by the band except "Transparent Radiation" which is a Red Krayola cover from their 1967 album Parable of Arable Land. The band also borrow heavily from the gospel standard covered by Bob Dylan, "In My Time of Dying," for "Come Down Easy" and pay homage to Lou Reed in "Ode to Street Hassle."
The vinyl edition of The Perfect Prescription includes liner notes by author R. Hunter Gibson:
"'The Perfect Prescription' is an album that will be left out of the rock 'n' roll readers, just as the great texts bid Bo Diddley throw down his cloak for the quickstep of Eddie Cochran. If there has ever been an untrumpeted classic, here it is. An arcane, apocryphal document, this record, in late '80s UK, was telegraphing a message of unconcerned hope in a world hypnotised by guilt-ridden social work rock. Here, more than anywhere, Spacemen 3 have a vested interest in absolutely nothing. It is revolutionary and militant where most angry young rock is liberal at best. It is extreme and accurate. Like 'Aftermath' it captures every aspect of the age that would later be analysed. As the unassuming soundtrack of a country breaking down and a world breaking up, its very nature means that it has been ignored.
Spacemen 3, like all the great rock 'n' rollers, from Arthur Parker to Paul Gauguin, are revolutionary; this is their great manifesto, striding free from the pharmacy raid of their debut armed with the keys of the musical medicine cabinet. When we left off things would never be the same. But the other side of the locked door, well, it's like the white one in the story.
If 'Sound of Confusion' denied the wider stretches of the sense in favour of the immediately, roughly sensual, this script paned out from some suburban global village Viet vet subculture into a poppyfield undersown with righteous paranoia. And still the smell of burning rubber on trash yankee wheels thickens the air...

A collection that includes the original Green Eyed God album, recorded in 1972, plus a selection of b-sides and never before heard tracks. Also, a brand new song written and recorded in 2010 to coincide with this detailed release.
Steel Mill are one of the most enigmatic bands from the original British progressive rock boom of the late 60s/early 70s. Despite scoring a continental hit with their debut 1971 single Green Eyed God, it took three years before their record company would give the cult classic full-length album of the same title a UK release. Having been released only in Germany in 1972, it still remains a mystery why it took so long to come out in their home country. Of course, by 1975 the band had long since vanished and the music scene had changed dramatically. Nowadays the Green Eyed God album is a highly regarded major rarity, having been bootlegged endlessly and fetching in excess of £1,000 for a mint UK copy.
The sound of Steel Mill on opener Blood Runs Deep is a ripping pre-metal blast typical of the time that is actually aided by the un-intrusive use of sax, at times bringing to mind early Van Der Graaf Generator. Also here are nice dynamic build-ups and refrains, with a scorching main riff to boot. There are many comparisons you could make to the Steel Mill sound but none of them could be considered as plagiarism. Dark, savage guitar riffs combine with tasteful use of woodwind, blending Jethro Tull folkiness with an early Jade Warrior style eastern feel. The heavy blues of Treadmill is a raw mix of Sabbath meets early Blue Cheer, in which the use of theatrics and chain gang chants tell the unsettling story of black slavery. The said title track, Green Eyed God, is a classic of the genre, in much the same way as Come To The Sabbat by Black Widow.
For years, collectors and experts of the period alike, have been perplexed by the lack of knowledge and information surrounding this fantastic band. Finally the story is told with this detailed release, bringing together a freshly remastered version of the original Green Eyed God album and an exciting plethora of previously unheard material. Recently discovered in the attic of Sax/Woodwind player John Challenger, were three acetate singles which contained no less than five long lost Mill tracks, recorded a year or so prior to recording of the Green Eyed God album. These tracks have been painstakingly restored and combined with original tapes from the same sessions, to create the best sound quality possible.
Since commencing work on this reissue, beyond expectation, the band have actually decided to reform and write new material. The first fruits of this reunion are presented exclusively here in the form of A Forgotten Future/A Future Past.

Confusion
Confusion (from Latin confusĭo, -ōnis, from confundere: "to pour together;" "to mingle together;" "to confuse") is the state of being bewildered or unclear in one’s mind about something.
Medical term
The term, "acute mental confusion" is often used interchangeably with delirium in the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems and the Medical Subject Headings publications to describe the pathology. These refer to the loss of orientation, or the ability to place oneself correctly in the world by time, location; and personal identity. Mental confusion is sometimes accompanied by disordered consciousness (the loss of linear thinking) and memory loss (the ability to correctly recall previous events or learn new material).
Causes
Confusion may result from drug side effects or from a relatively sudden brain dysfunction. Acute confusion is often called delirium (or "acute confusional state"), although delirium often includes a much broader array of disorders than simple confusion. These disorders include the inability to focus attention; various impairments in awareness; and temporal or spatial dis-orientation. Mental confusion can result from chronic organic brain pathologies, such as dementia, as well.

The Green Eyed is a 2015 Nigerian drama film, directed by Blessing O. Uduefe. It stars Nse Ikpe Etim, Kalu Ikeagwu, Tamara Eteimo and Blossom Chukwujekwu. The film was shot in Port Harcourt.

Steel Mill
Steel Mill was an early Bruce Springsteen band. Other members of the band included three future members of the E Street Band - Vini Lopez, Danny Federici and Steve Van Zandt. As well as playing on the Jersey Shore, Steel Mill also played regularly in Richmond, Virginia and played gigs in California and a festival in Nashville, Tennessee. They opened for acts such as Chicago, Boz Scaggs, Grand Funk Railroad, Roy Orbison, Ike & Tina Turner and Black Sabbath. Since 2004 Vini Lopez has led Steel Mill Retro which has performed and recorded original Springsteen songs from the Steel Mill era.
History
Early bands
Three of the band's founding members, Bruce Springsteen, Vini Lopez and Vinnie Roslin met for the first time on April 22, 1966 at a battle of the bands competition at the Matawan-Keyport Roller Drome in Matawan, New Jersey. Roslin was one of the judges while Springsteen and Lopez competed in the competition with their respective bands, The Castiles and Sonny & The Starfires. However before coming together to form Steel Mill, both Springsteen and Lopez went on to play in other bands. Springsteen formed Earth with fellow Ocean County College students, John Graham (bass) and Michael Burke (drums). They would later be joined by another former Castile, Bob Alfano (organ). Lopez, meanwhile, played with the Downtown Tangiers Band, which also included Bill Chinnock, Danny Federici and Garry Tallent, and then in Moment of Truth with Tallent, Federici and Ricky DeSarno (guitars).

The music becomes progressively more orchestral and serene until the high of the trip, represented by "Ecstasy Symphony"/"Transparent Radiation (Flashback)," moving on to the moment of realisation where the high has faded and the comedown ensues, represented by the harsh opening guitar chords in "Things'll Never Be the Same." Coming down is represented in the blues based "Come Down Easy," whilst the potentially fatal effects of an overdose are portrayed in the final track "Call the Doctor." The music was written by the band except "Transparent Radiation" which is a Red Krayola cover from their 1967 album Parable of Arable Land. The band also borrow heavily from the gospel standard covered by Bob Dylan, "In My Time of Dying," for "Come Down Easy" and pay homage to Lou Reed in "Ode to Street Hassle."

"'The Perfect Prescription' is an album that will be left out of the rock 'n' roll readers, just as the great texts bid Bo Diddley throw down his cloak for the quickstep of Eddie Cochran. If there has ever been an untrumpeted classic, here it is. An arcane, apocryphal document, this record, in late '80s UK, was telegraphing a message of unconcerned hope in a world hypnotised by guilt-ridden social work rock. Here, more than anywhere, Spacemen 3 have a vested interest in absolutely nothing. It is revolutionary and militant where most angry young rock is liberal at best. It is extreme and accurate. Like 'Aftermath' it captures every aspect of the age that would later be analysed. As the unassuming soundtrack of a country breaking down and a world breaking up, its very nature means that it has been ignored.
Spacemen 3, like all the great rock 'n' rollers, from Arthur Parker to Paul Gauguin, are revolutionary; this is their great manifesto, striding free from the pharmacy raid of their debut armed with the keys of the musical medicine cabinet. Steel Mill are one of the most enigmatic bands from the original British progressive rock boom of the late 60s/early 70s. Despite scoring a continental hit with their debut 1971 single Green Eyed God, it took three years before their record company would give the cult classic full-length album of the same title a UK release. Having been released only in Germany in 1972, it still remains a mystery why it took so long to come out in their home country. Of course, by 1975 the band had long since vanished and the music scene had changed dramatically. Nowadays the Green Eyed God album is a highly regarded major rarity, having been bootlegged endlessly and fetching in excess of £1,000 for a mint UK copy.
The sound of Steel Mill on opener Blood Runs Deep is a ripping pre-metal blast typical of the time that is actually aided by the un-intrusive use of sax, at times bringing to mind early Van Der Graaf Generator. Also here are nice dynamic build-ups and refrains, with a scorching main riff to boot. There are many comparisons you could make to the Steel Mill sound but none of them could be considered as plagiarism. Dark, savage guitar riffs combine with tasteful use of woodwind, blending Jethro Tull folkiness with an early Jade Warrior style eastern feel. The heavy blues of Treadmill is a raw mix of Sabbath meets early Blue Cheer, in which the use of theatrics and chain gang chants tell the unsettling story of black slavery. The said title track, Green Eyed God, is a classic of the genre, in much the same way as Come To The Sabbat by Black Widow.
For years, collectors and experts of the period alike, have been perplexed by the lack of knowledge and information surrounding this fantastic band. Finally the story is told with this detailed release, bringing together a freshly remastered version of the original Green Eyed God album and an exciting plethora of previously unheard material. Recently discovered in the attic of Sax/Woodwind player John Challenger, were three acetate singles which contained no less than five long lost Mill tracks, recorded a year or so prior to recording of the Green Eyed God album. These tracks have been painstakingly restored and combined with original tapes from the same sessions, to create the best sound quality possible.
Since commencing work on this reissue, beyond expectation, the band have actually decided to reform and write new material. The first fruits of this reunion are presented exclusively here in the form of A Forgotten Future/A Future Past.

Nowadays the Green Eyed God album is a highly regarded major rarity, having been bootlegged endlessly and fetching in excess of £1,000 for a mint UK copy.
The sound of Steel Mill on opener Blood Runs Deep is a ripping pre-metal blast typical of the time that is actually aided by the un-intrusive use of sax, at times bringing to mind early Van Der Graaf Generator. Also here are nice dynamic build-ups and refrains, with a scorching main riff to boot. There are many comparisons you could make to the Steel Mill sound but none of them could be considered as plagiarism. Dark, savage guitar riffs combine with tasteful use of woodwind, blending Jethro Tull folkiness with an early Jade Warrior style eastern feel. The heavy blues of Treadmill is a raw mix of Sabbath meets early Blue Cheer, in which the use of theatrics and chain gang chants tell the unsettling story of black slavery. The said title track, Green Eyed God, is a classic of the genre, in much the same way as Come To The Sabbat by Black Widow.
For years, collectors and experts of the period alike, have been perplexed by the lack of knowledge and information surrounding this fantastic band. Finally the story is told with this detailed release, bringing together a freshly remastered version of the original Green Eyed God album and an exciting plethora of previously unheard material. Recently discovered in the attic of Sax/Woodwind player John Challenger, were three acetate singles which contained no less than five long lost Mill tracks, recorded a year or so prior to recording of the Green Eyed God album. These tracks have been painstakingly restored and combined with original tapes from the same sessions, to create the best sound quality possible.
Since commencing work on this reissue, beyond expectation, the band have actually decided to reform and write new material. The first fruits of this reunion are presented exclusively here in the form of A Forgotten Future/A Future Past.

The music becomes progressively more orchestral and serene until the high of the trip, represented by "Ecstasy Symphony"/"Transparent Radiation (Flashback)," moving on to the moment of realisation where the high has faded and the comedown ensues, represented by the harsh opening guitar chords in "Things'll Never Be the Same." Coming down is represented in the blues based "Come Down Easy," whilst the potentially fatal effects of an overdose are portrayed in the final track "Call the Doctor." The music was written by the band except "Transparent Radiation" which is a Red Krayola cover from their 1967 album Parable of Arable Land. The band also borrow heavily from the gospel standard covered by Bob Dylan, "In My Time of Dying," for "Come Down Easy" and pay homage to Lou Reed in "Ode to Street Hassle."
The vinyl edition of The Perfect Prescription includes liner notes by author R. Hunter Gibson:
"'The Perfect Prescription' is an album that will be left out of the rock 'n' roll readers, just as the great texts bid Bo Diddley throw down his cloak for the quickstep of Eddie Cochran. If there has ever been an untrumpeted classic, here it is. An arcane, apocryphal document, this record, in late '80s UK, was telegraphing a message of unconcerned hope in a world hypnotised by guilt-ridden social work rock. Here, more than anywhere, Spacemen 3 have a vested interest in absolutely nothing. It is revolutionary and militant where most angry young rock is liberal at best. It is extreme and accurate. It is a concept album, "a vision of a drug trip from inception to its blasted conclusion, highs and lows fully intact." The music becomes progressively more orchestral and serene until the high of the trip, represented by "Ecstasy Symphony"/"Transparent Radiation (Flashback)," moving on to the moment of realisation where the high has faded and the comedown ensues, represented by the harsh opening guitar chords in "Things'll Never Be the Same." Coming down is represented in the blues based "Come Down Easy," whilst the potentially fatal effects of an overdose are portrayed in the final track "Call the Doctor." The music was written by the band except "Transparent Radiation" which is a Red Krayola cover from their 1967 album Parable of Arable Land. The band also borrow heavily from the gospel standard covered by Bob Dylan, "In My Time of Dying," for "Come Down Easy" and pay homage to Lou Reed in "Ode to Street Hassle."
The vinyl edition of The Perfect Prescription includes liner notes by author R. Hunter Gibson:
"'The Perfect Prescription' is an album that will be left out of the rock 'n' roll readers, just as the great texts bid Bo Diddley throw down his cloak for the quickstep of Eddie Cochran. If there has ever been an untrumpeted classic, here it is. An arcane, apocryphal document, this record, in late '80s UK, was telegraphing a message of unconcerned hope in a world hypnotised by guilt-ridden social work rock. Here, more than anywhere, Spacemen 3 have a vested interest in absolutely nothing. It is revolutionary and militant where most angry young rock is liberal at best. It is extreme and accurate. Steel Mill are one of the most enigmatic bands from the original British progressive rock boom of the late 60s/early 70s. Despite scoring a continental hit with their debut 1971 single Green Eyed God, it took three years before their record company would give the cult classic full-length album of the same title a UK release. Having been released only in Germany in 1972, it still remains a mystery why it took so long to come out in their home country. Of course, by 1975 the band had long since vanished and the music scene had changed dramatically. Nowadays the Green Eyed God album is a highly regarded major rarity, having been bootlegged endlessly and fetching in excess of £1,000 for a mint UK copy.
The sound of Steel Mill on opener Blood Runs Deep is a ripping pre-metal blast typical of the time that is actually aided by the un-intrusive use of sax, at times bringing to mind early Van Der Graaf Generator. Also here are nice dynamic build-ups and refrains, with a scorching main riff to boot. There are many comparisons you could make to the Steel Mill sound but none of them could be considered as plagiarism. Dark, savage guitar riffs combine with tasteful use of woodwind, blending Jethro Tull folkiness with an early Jade Warrior style eastern feel. The heavy blues of Treadmill is a raw mix of Sabbath meets early Blue Cheer, in which the use of theatrics and chain gang chants tell the unsettling story of black slavery. The said title track, Green Eyed God, is a classic of the genre, in much the same way as Come To The Sabbat by Black Widow.
For years, collectors and experts of the period alike, have been perplexed by the lack of knowledge and information surrounding this fantastic band. Finally the story is told with this detailed release, bringing together a freshly remastered version of the original Green Eyed God album and an exciting plethora of previously unheard material. Recently discovered in the attic of Sax/Woodwind player John Challenger, were three acetate singles which contained no less than five long lost Mill tracks, recorded a year or so prior to recording of the Green Eyed God album. These tracks have been painstakingly restored and combined with original tapes from the same sessions, to create the best sound quality possible.
Since commencing work on this reissue, beyond expectation, the band have actually decided to reform and write new material. The first fruits of this reunion are presented exclusively here in the form of A Forgotten Future/A Future Past.

A female prison guard has spoken of savage beatings and killings at a North Korean camp. Lim Hye-jin says she was so traumatised that she could not eat for days afterwards. One of the worst episodes was the killing of seven family members of two brothers who managed to escape. Many more prisoners were beaten as revenge for the prison breakout.
