Brooklyn and I have worn "Phase 1" and Phase 2" braces for nearly 6 years! Each of us had to wear expanders as part of the treatment, and I even had to have oral surgery to pull my canine teeth down so that they didn't dissolve the roots of our front teeth.
Needless to say, finally getting my braces off was AWESOME!
We want to share with all of you my first time seeing my new smile! Our hope is that this video will let you see that there is nothing to be nervous about in getting your braces off!
Good news, Brooklyn gets hers off in a few weeks, too! {Yes, she is very jealous of me right now!}

Brooklyn and I have worn "Phase 1" and Phase 2" braces for nearly 6 years! Each of us had to wear expanders as part of the treatment, and I even had to have oral surgery to pull my canine teeth down so that they didn't dissolve the roots of our front teeth.
Needless to say, finally getting my braces off was AWESOME!
We want to share with all of you my first time seeing my new smile! Our hope is that this video will let you see that there is nothing to be nervous about in getting your braces off!
Good news, Brooklyn gets hers off in a few weeks, too! {Yes, she is very jealous of me right now!}

04.17.2016 - 04.23.2016 It finally happened. After 2 and a half years, I finally got my braces off. YAAAASSSSS!!! Oh, joyous day! It was quite the experience. I enjoyed my temporary moment of freedom, and it was so liberating. But that moment was lived shortly, because retainers are a thing. It's cool to have clear retainers, but it's not cool when they dry out your mouth and your tongue refuses to get use to it. Ugh. This will be another adjustment my mouth will have to go through, nonetheless, I am very happy that my braces off. I can smile freely now! Over the past few years, my bottom teeth have started to crowd majorly due to bad myofunctional habits. The crowding initially started when my wisdom teeth came and even after they were removed the crowding didn't stop. I started to really dislike my teeth. This is a bit of a different video on my channel. The reason I am doing this video is because I want to inspire anyone who is thinking of getting braces.
As you can see in the title the type of braces that I have are called self ligating braces they a new and special type of brace that are supposed to reduce the time the braces are on, they reduce pressure on the teeth and also avoid having a person get extractions.
I do have to say my inspiration to get braces came from Youtube @foreverflawless.
