In sumo wrestling, a heya (部屋) (Japanese for "room") or sumo beya, usually translated into English as stable, is an organization of sumo wrestlers where they train and live. All wrestlers in professional sumo must belong to one. There are currently 49 heya (as of September 2011), all but four of which belong to one of five ichimon (groupings of heya). They vary in size, with the largest heya having over thirty wrestlers and smallest just three. Most heya are based in and around the Ryogoku district of Tokyo, sumo's traditional heartland, although the high price of land has led to some newer heya being built in other parts of Tokyo or its suburbs.
Most heya have a network of scouts, who may be former wrestlers themselves, friends of the head coach, or supporters of the heya, who keep a look out for any powerful or athletic young men and follow the results of local sumo (and judo) competitions. Most new recruits join at the age of 15 or 16, straight from junior high school.
A wrestler is expected to stay with the heya he joins until the end of his career. There is no transfer system in sumo. The only exception is if the coach who originally scouted him leaves to found a new heya, in which case he might be permitted to follow him.

Take up the fight for your personal aim
Go get possession of the ball in your game
The people's living's anyway not the same
So get yourself back in the ring!
Come bid defiance to your own common sense
Give up your habit just to speak in defense
Your own potential is so fuckin' immense
So get yourself back in the ring!
Come on –
Don't call it your dream,
But make it your life!
Say hey, 2, 3, 4:
Heya – You're the lodestar
(So) don't you dare to lose your aim
Hold on to all what you are –
(Cause) You are godsend!
It's your decision what you're living for,
If you're a doer or a people's whore
If it's a never- or forevermore
So get yourself back in the ring!
Hey!
You think it's nonsense, no i disagree!
The lord Himself gave you His warranty
That if you trust Him He's of certainty
So get yourself back in the ring!
Come on –
Don't call it your dream,
But make it your life!
Say hey, 2, 3, 4:
Heya – You're the lodestar
(So) don't you dare to lose your aim
Hold on to all what you are –
(Cause) You are godsend!
Why don't you just come off your doubts,
Relieving all your mind,
Secure your confidence
by choosing to be fine!
You can rely on Him to bail you out,
His love is deep affined,
Why don't you overcome your fear
and start to shine!
Don't call it your dream,
But make it your life!
Don't call it your dream,
But make it your life!
Say hey, 2, 3, 4:
Heya – You're the lodestar
(So) don't you dare to lose your aim
Hold on to all what you are –
