George Washington (February 22, 1732 [O.S. February 11, 1731] – December 14, 1799) was the first President of the United States (1789–97), the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He presided over the convention that drafted the current United States Constitution and during his lifetime was called the "father of his country".
Widely admired for his strong leadership qualities, Washington was unanimously elected president in the first two national elections. He oversaw the creation of a strong, well-financed national government that maintained neutrality in the French Revolutionary Wars, suppressed the Whiskey Rebellion, and won acceptance among Americans of all types. Washington's incumbency established many precedents, still in use today, such as the cabinet system, the inaugural address, and the title Mr. President. His retirement from office after two terms established a tradition that lasted until 1940, when Franklin Delano Roosevelt won an unprecedented third term. The 22nd Amendment (1951) now limits the president to eight years in office.
The George Washington University (GW, GWU, or George Washington) is a private, coeducational research university located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with two other campuses including the Mount Vernon campus in the Foxhall neighborhood, as well as the Virginia Science & Technology campus in Loudoun County, Virginia. GW is the largest institution of higher education in the District of Columbia.
George Washington, the first president of the United States, had indicated to Congress through various letters, as well as his last will and testament, that he wanted to establish a university within the nation's capital. Washington left fifty shares of the Potowmack Company in his estate for a national university in the District of Columbia. However, due to the company's financial status, the university never received the shares. The university was chartered by an Act of Congress on February 9, 1821, as the Columbian College in the District of Columbia. In 1904, it changed its name to the George Washington University in honor of Washington.
Washington University in St. Louis (Wash. U., or WUSTL) is a private research university located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Founded in 1853, and named after George Washington, the university has students and faculty from all 50 U.S. states and more than 120 countries. Twenty-five Nobel laureates have been affiliated with Washington University, nine having done the major part of their pioneering research at the university. Washington University's undergraduate program is ranked 15th by U.S. News and World Report. The university is ranked 32nd in the world by the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
Washington University is made up of seven graduate and undergraduate schools that encompass a broad range of academic fields. Officially incorporated as "The Washington University," the university is occasionally referred to as "WUSTL," an acronym derived from its initials. More commonly, the school is referred to as "Wash. U." To prevent confusion over its location, the Board of Trustees added the phrase "in St. Louis" in 1976.

The top 1% seems well represented at George Washington University, at least judging by these crazy expensive sports and luxury cars GWU students drive. We've got photos from a new tumblr blog detailing just how rich these students must be, car by car. What do you think about this blog? Is it just jealousy in blog form? Or is it actually ridiculous that students are driving cars like this? Let us know in the comments down below! I created this video when I was in graduate school pursuing an MFA in film. I have been working on a feature length documentary on The Seldom Scene for several years (I submitted a cut of it as my MFA thesis project) and for this project I interviewed Mike Auldridge (again), Dudley Connell (again), George McCeney, and Len Holslcaw. I will be uploading a few clips from my Seldom Scene documentary in progress over the next few days. With the recent passing of Mike Auldridge, I remembered countless conversations with Mike over the last twenty years or so and the three times I interviewed him on camera. I shot this interview with Mike in April 2004 and it is my favorite interview with Mike. He truly was what everyone has said he was-- a true gentleman and a class act all the way. And tha...

He was the one who broke the Area 51/Bob Lazar story in the late 80s. He is also a regular host on the radio station Coast to Coast AM. One of the topics was the implications of the disclosure of the extraterrestrial presence. The interview was conducted at the Marriott Hotel during X-Conference 2010 which took place at the National Press Club in Washington DC in the beginning of May. This video was produced in collaboration with Jennifer Stein, Ron James, and Paradigm Research Group.
