http://democracynow.org - The Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Canada has concluded the country’s decades-long policy of forcibly removing indigenous children from their families and placing them in state-funded residential Christian schools amounted to "cultural genocide." After a six-year investigation, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report concluded: "The Canadian government pursued this policy of cultural genocide because it wished to divest itself of its legal and financial obligations to aboriginal people and gain control over their lands and resources. If every aboriginal person had been 'absorbed into the body politic,' there would be no reserves, no treaties and no aboriginal rights." The first schools opened in 1883. The last one closed in 1998. During that time over 150,000 indigenous children were sent away to rid them of their native cultures and languages and integrate them into mainstream Canadian society. Many students recall being beaten for speaking their native languages and losing touch with their parents and customs. The report also documents widespread physical, cultural and sexual abuse. We are joined by Pamela Palmater, associate professor and chair of the Centre for Indigenous Governance at Ryerson University, an Idle No More activist and author of "Beyond Blood: Rethinking Indigenous Identity and Belonging."

Syria has six UNESCO world heritage sites, which are all listed as in danger of destruction. It's also home to 12 sites tentatively listed for world heritage status. Many of the ancient religious buildings, marketplaces, archaelogical sites and other culturally significant areas have already been severely damaged or destroyed. The Great Mosque of Aleppo, the ancient Souks of Aleppo, the Crac Des Chevaliers castle, Maaloula and many more mosques, churches, synagogues and temples have already been hit during the Syrian civil war.
Both sides blame each other for the damage to these important sites but both must shoulder responsibility for Syria's cultural genocide.

Cultural genocide is a term referring to the deliberate destruction of any cultural, ethnic, religous, social or other group. Although "culture" is missing from the UN convention on genocide, it was seen as part of genocide by Raphael Lemkin, the coiner of the term "genocide."
This video, that is made by two university students, deals with a particular case of cultural genocide that took place in 2005 (in Azerbaijan) and was largely ignored by the world.

More than 150,000 children were sent to so-called residential schools in an attempt to assimilate them into mainstream Canada.
The system has been defunct for years, but victims still carry emotional scars.

Cultural genocide is a term that lawyer Raphael Lemkin proposed in 1933 as a component to genocide. The term was considered in the 2007 United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples juxtaposed next to the term ethnocide, but it was removed in the final document, replaced with simply "genocide". The precise definition of "cultural genocide" remains unclear.
As early as 1933, lawyer Raphael Lemkin proposed a cultural component to genocide, which he called "vandalism". The term has since acquired rhetorical value as a phrase that is used to protest against the destruction of cultural heritage. It is also often misused as a catchphrase to condemn any destruction the user of the phrase disapproves of, without regard for the criterion of intent to destroy an affected group as such.
The drafters of the 1948 Genocide Convention considered the use of the term, but dropped it from their consideration. The legal definition of genocide is left unspecific about the exact nature in which genocide is done only that it is destruction with intent to destroy a racial, religious, ethnic or national group as such.

Beverley McLachlin, PC (born 7 September 1943) is the 17th and current Chief Justice of Canada, the first woman to hold this position. She also serves as a Deputy of the Governor General of Canada.
Born Beverley Gietz in Pincher Creek, Alberta, the eldest child of Ernest Gietz and Eleanora Kruschell, she received a B.A. and a M.A. degree in philosophy and an LL.B. degree (winning the gold medal as top student and serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review) from the University of Alberta. She was called to the Bar of Alberta in 1969 and to the Bar of British Columbia in 1971. She practised law from 1969 until 1975. From 1974 until 1981 she was an Associate Professor and Professor with tenure at the University of British Columbia.
She has one son from her first marriage to Roderick McLachlin. Her first husband died in 1988 and she remarried in 1992 to Frank McArdle.
In 1981 she was appointed to the County Court of Vancouver and then to the Supreme Court of British Columbia. In 1985 she was appointed to the British Columbia Court of Appeal and in 1988 was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia.. She was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada on 30 March 1989 and was made Chief Justice of Canada on 7 January 2000.

Pressed by the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, the Obama Administration’s US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Director, Dan Ashe, is expected to announce the government’s new rule to delist the grizzly bear in fall 2015. Removing Endangered Species Act protections from the grizzly will result in the bears being trophy hunted, and the lands they currently inhabit opened to expanded energy and livestock interests. With respect to delisting the grizzly, the Obama Administration has so far failed to honor the commitments the President made to Tribal Nations about honoring treaties, tribal sovereignty, religious and spiritual freedoms, and “meaningful” government-to-government consultation. Although "culture" is missing from the UN convention on genocide, it was seen as part of genocide by Raphael Lemkin, the coiner of the term "genocide." Syria has six UNESCO world heritage sites, which are all listed as in danger of destruction. It's also home to 12 sites tentatively listed for world heritage status. Many of the ancient religious buildings, marketplaces, archaelogical sites and other culturally significant areas have already been severely damaged or destroyed. The Great Mosque of Aleppo, the ancient Souks of Aleppo, the Crac Des Chevaliers castle, Maaloula and many more mosques, churches, synagogues and temples have already been hit during the Syrian civil war.
Both sides blame each other for the damage to these important sites but both must shoulder responsibility for Syria's cultural genocide.

A six-year investigation into a policy of forcibly separating Aboriginal children from their parents has found Canada guilty of "cultural genocide".
More than 150,000 children were sent to so-called residential schools in an attempt to assimilate them into mainstream Canada.
The system has been defunct for years, but victims still carry emotional scars.

I like to be a positive and happy person! -It literally hurts me to create a video on a negative topic. But no one else has properly documented even a brief view of the Cultural Genocide currently undergoing the Southern people. Evil people with hate in their hearts are trying to destroy our heritage, our identity, even us as a people. I feel it's my duty to reach out to the world to shed light on injustice. The Cultural Genocide of the Southern People
Cultural genocide: the systematic destruction of traditions, values, language, and other elements which make a one group of people distinct from other groups.
eth·no·cide: the deliberate and systematic destruction of the culture of an ethnic group.
While the media obsessed over a ruthless killing in a church in South Carolina the real goal was targeting the South for complete and total Cultural Genocide. Meanwhile, the media ignores and/or covers up the huge amount of targeted crimes against our people. Although I am unable to obtain the number specifically for Southerners, the following should give you an idea. According to the FBI, every year in the USA there are well over 200% more black on white murders than visa-verse and well over 30,000 black male on white female rapes while statistically zero, yes ZERO white on black. Again, I point that out not to target any group but to illustrate that the crimes against our people almost never make the news. The media’s silence does not make this injustice and evil untrue- instead it makes them responsible and culpable in our Cultural Genocide. (1)(2)
Those disproportionately high numbers point out two facts:
First- they occur even despite that we, as a numerical majority still share a degree of control within institutions. Things will logically become exponentially worse once we lose that ability to defend ourselves.
Second- they occur because of the high degree and huge extent of the ethnic-hatred against us taught in the modern social-marxist US society. Therefore, the fault itself can be found at the highest levels of society and at the top levels of government, education and media itself. There is a massive Cultural Genocide taking place right now in the American South. The only moral thing for good men to do is to speak out.
My intention is for our people to realize there is no solution to the problems we face by following the status-quot. We have to think outside the box and learn from our past, our history and to look to both the Bible and our ancestors for answers. For ideas please study the Book of Numbers and Leviticus. What would men like Washington, Jefferson, Robert E Lee and Jefferson Davis do?
The purging of all things Confederate and/or Southern is not happenstance; this is a deliberate, systematic and complete Cultural Genocide. Cultural Genocide is a prerequisite for physical genocide. The latter may not necessarily come at the barrel of a gun. Instead, it may derive from the highest levels of government, academia and media to put the conditions into place which make it impossible for a people to survive, even exist as distinct and unique people. According to the United Nations that is the basic definition of genocide.
As Southern people, your folk have no future within the modern social-marxist USA. A man of honor stands up to do right in the face of injustice and evil. The League of the South is your ability to stand up and make a difference for your children. Like all other unique peoples of the Earth, your children and posterity deserve a future.
