The 27 -km long lagoon with its beautiful beachfront is the ideal spot for family holidays, where you can participate in various water sports. The mouth of the lagoon, usually blocked by a massive sandbank, is best reached by boat, although a long difficult 4X4 track does allow you access to the beach and the open sea. A qualified dive instructor with a fully equipped boat is available for those who want to explore the magnificent reefs in the area either diving or snorkeling. Deep-sea fishing in the area is also very popular and boats can be chartered at the resort. Bilene is an excellent destination for all waters port enthusiasts especially those who want to ski, sailor just enjoy the beauty of the lagoon on a barge trip. Praia do Sol: Praia do Sol is an Eco friendly resort situated on the stunning shores of the Bilene lagoon. The resort is located 2 km outside the village of Bilene itself and although situated on a dirt road the resort is easily accessible with any vehicle. A well stocked bar adjoining the restaurant brings all the guests together, creating a very friendly and social atmosphere. Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. You could choose to play volleyball or just lay about all day on the pristine lagoon beach. The resort also provides a barge for day trips and sunset cruises.
