Magik Muzik

Magik Muzik is a sub-label of Dutch label Black Hole Recordings consisting on Electronic. It was founded by Tiësto in 2001.

History

In 1997 with the help of Arny Bink, co-founder of Black Hole Recordings, Tiësto was able to compile various styles of electronic music like trance, techno and house. Tiësto decided to create a sub-label, known as Magik Muzik. The label began releasing Tiësto’s own releases, but it has also released tracks for The Filterheadz, Oliver Lieb, Mark Norman, and Mojado. The label became a trademark which stands for high quality electronic dance music which was due to the release of Tiësto's classic dance anthem "Flight 643" in 2001.

Later on he included the work of other acclaimed artists like Jes Brieden and Phynn. Its first album release was a limited vinyl edition of Tiësto's first studio album In My Memory which is considered an LP, the special edition released in 2001 did not include the complete album which was released later that same year; The long play version has a catalog number of Magik Muzik 800 followed by the Magik Muzik 801 releases, known as "Flight 643" which is the labels pride and first release. "Gatex" by Umek is the first song which does not belong to Tiësto and was released through the record label Potential first, it was later remixed by Tiësto, DJ Montana, Oliver Lieb, and DJ Le Blanc and it was included in Magik Muzik's vinyl releases which by this time had gained success and support across Europe in 2002.

Remix (I Like The)

"Remix (I Like The)" is a song by American pop group New Kids on the Block from their sixth studio album, 10. The song was released as the album's lead single on January 28, 2013. "Remix (I Like The)" was written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Johannes Jørgensen, and Lemar, and it was produced by Deekay. The song features Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre on lead vocals.

"Remix (I Like The)" did not enter the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, becoming their first lead single to fail charting since "Be My Girl" (1986). Instead, the song peaked at number 38 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Critical reception

PopCrush gave the song 3.5 stars out of five. In her review Jessica Sager wrote, "The song sounds like an adult contemporary answer to The Wanted mixed with Bruno Mars‘ ‘Locked Out of Heaven.’ It has a danceable beat like many of the British bad boys’ tracks, but is stripped down and raw enough to pass for Mars’ latest radio smash as well." Carl Williott of Idolator commended the song's chorus, but criticized its "liberal use of Auto-Tune" and compared Donnie Wahlberg's vocals to Chad Kroeger.

Angel (Angel album)

Angel is the first album by the rock band Angel. "Tower", the keyboard-heavy opening track, was used widely during the late 1970s and early 1980s by album rock radio stations in the USA for various advertising purposes. The track is also on K-SHE radio's Classic List. This album can be seen as representing the band's early progressive roots, with Helluva Band seeing the group starting to move towards an increasingly hard rock-oriented sound. Tracks 6-8 segue to form a 10-minute mini suite.

Angel (season 5)

The fifth and final season of the television series Angel, the spin-off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, premiered on October 1, 2003 on The WB and concluded its 22-episode season and its television run on May 19, 2004. The season aired on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm ET. This was the first and only season of Angel to air following the finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Magik (film)

Magik is an upcoming animated fantasy film written, produced and directed by Stephen Wallis. It will feature the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch, Matthew Goode, Samantha Morton, Dominique Swain, Jim Broadbent, Tom Riley, Enzo Cilenti, Jimmy Carr and Jake Raymond. It is set to be released on 25 December 2016.

Plot

Lewis Clark (Benedict Cumberbatch) is an author who stumbles upon a world of magic after his two young children go missing. He starts a quest to try to stop the evil that threatens to destroy both his worlds of reality and magic.

Magik (comics)

Magik (Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina - typically anglicized to Rasputin) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most often in relation to the X-Men. She first appeared in the comic book Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975).

Magik is the younger sister of the Russian X-Man Colossus. She is a member of a fictional sub-species of humanity known as mutants, who are born with superhuman abilities. Her natural mutant power is the ability to teleport. She also is a capable sorceress.

Publication history

Illyana first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975), though her first name was not given until Uncanny X-Men #145 (May 1981). For the first eight years of the character's existence, she was an infrequently appearing background character. The means of changing this was set in Uncanny X-Men #160 (August 1982), in which she ages seven years while in a paranormal dimension called Limbo, became a sorceress, and develops the mutant ability to create "teleportation discs." These changes were not immediately explored or explained, and for the next year she remained essentially a background character.
