Without Your Love (André song)

"Without Your Love" was the Armenian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, Armenia's debut at the Contest. Performed in English by André, it opened the semi-final (being followed by Bulgaria's Mariana Popova singing "Let Me Cry") before being performed last in the final (following Sibel Tüzün's "Süper Star" for Turkey), having qualified in 6th position with 150 points.

In the final, André received 129 points, including the maximum 12 from Russia and 10 from Turkey, to finish 8th and ensure Armenia an automatic final berth for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.

The song itself is an energetic dance number, with influences of the ethnic styles which have proven popular over recent years (BBC commentator Terry Wogan referred to the song as having "a whiff of the souk" about it). Indeed, comparisons have been drawn to Sertab Erener's performance in 2003, as the presentation involved what were variously referred to as "ropes", "braces" and "tapes" with which André and his dancers would suspend each other at different points of the song.

Without Your Love (Roger Daltrey song)

"Without Your Love" is a song released in 1980 by Roger Daltrey of The Who written by Billy Nicholls and was a hit for him on his album McVicar. The song was written for the soundtrack of the film McVicar, a bio-pic of English bank robber John McVicar, that was produced by Daltrey and also featured him in the starring role.

The single was produced by Jeff Wayne and recorded at Advision Studios, London with Daltrey's vocals recorded at Air Studios, Montserrat, West Indies.

"Without Your Love" was released as a single in the United States, and in various European countries in 1980 and peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.). It was also a minor hit in the UK reaching #55 in the UK Singles Chart and was a big hit in the Netherlands reaching #2 there.

Without Your Love (Gary O'Shaughnessy song)

"Without Your Love" was the Irish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001, performed in English by Gary O'Shaughnessy.

The song is a ballad, with O'Shaughnessy telling his lover that he doesn't want to live his life without her. He tells her, for example, that "You're the light in the dark".

The song was performed twelfth on the night, following Portugal's MTM with "Só sei ser feliz assim" and preceding Spain's David Civera with "Dile que la quiero". At the close of voting, it had received 6 points, placing 21st in a field of 23. As Ireland finished in the bottom 8 countries, they were unable to compete in the 2002 contest.

The song was thus succeeded as Irish representative at the 2003 contest by Mickey Joe Harte with "We've Got the World".
