Christopher Ryan "Chris" Hardwick (born November 23, 1971) is an American television host, stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, podcaster, musician, and voice artist. He is the chief executive officer of Nerdist Industries, the digital division of Legendary Entertainment. He currently hosts @midnight with Chris Hardwick, a nightly comedy-game show series on Comedy Central, and voices Craig in the Nickelodeon series Sanjay and Craig.
In 2011, he began hosting Ministry of Laughs, a BBC America Britcom block, and Talking Dead, a live hour talk show on AMC following episodes of The Walking Dead. In 2013, Hardwick hosted Talking Bad, a live half-hour talk show on AMC following the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad. He is also known for performing with Mike Phirman in Hard 'n Phirm, hosting Singled Out, Wired Science, Web Soup, and Nerdist Podcast, and as the voice of Otis in Back at the Barnyard, replacing Kevin James.
Hardwick was born Christopher Ryan Hardwick in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 23, 1971, the son of professional bowler Billy Hardwick (1941–2013) and Sharon Hills (née Facente), a real estate agent in Pasadena, California. His maternal grandfather was Italian-American, and opened a bowling alley where his parents first met. Hardwick was raised in the Roman Catholic faith of his mother. Hardwick grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, attending St. Benedict at Auburndale K–12 School, then attended Regis Jesuit High School in Colorado, and then Loyola High School for his senior year.

He was born on 7 October 1957 and educated at King Edward VI School (Lichfield) and the Open University. He gave up a career in banking to study at Ripon College Cuddesdon and was ordained in 1992 he was a curate at Worcester then Rector of Hill Croome before his move to the Deanery of Truro. He took suspension from his duties while he was investigated for a supposedly controversial personal relationship, and ultimately resigned in August 2011.

He is known especially for his blindfolded world record solution times of Rubik's Revenge and Rubik's Professor's Cube puzzles, though he started out as a top one-handed cuber. Chris holds the former world record for the blindfolded solve time of the Rubik's Professor's Cube with 15 minutes 22 seconds.
Hardwick has made a number of television appearances demonstrating the Rubik's Cube, including MTV in 2002, Canada AM and Much Music in the fall of 2003, discussing the 2003 Rubik's Cube World Championships. His home videos have also appeared on numerous online video sites including CollegeHumor and Digg. A home video of Hardwick solving a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube one-handed appeared on VH1 in 2006 for Web Junk 20. Axe deodorant parodied another one of Hardwick's home videos in their 2006 South African "Get a Girlfriend" commercial campaign.
@midnight with Chris Hardwick (shortened to and formerly exclusively titled @midnight) is an American late-night Internet-based combination scripted, rehearsed and improv panel game show hosted by Chris Hardwick, that airs Monday through Thursday nights on Comedy Central. The show is syndicated internationally in Australia on SBS2 and The Comedy Channel and Canada on MuchMusic. @midnight with Chris Hardwick premiered on October 21, 2013, before being renewed for a 40-week second season on November 14, 2013. It returned on January 6, 2014. It received a nomination for Outstanding Interactive Program at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards. It received a nomination and win for Outstanding Social TV Experience at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards
On July 7, 2015, it was announced that it has been renewed throughout 2016.
Each episode features three comedians competing against one another in a series of Internet-inspired improv games, which vary from episode to episode.
Host Chris Hardwick begins each game by introducing some Internet meme trending that day, and asks the panel of comedians to craft a funny response or choose the correct answer among multiple choices. Contestants are awarded points by Hardwick (who loudly announces "Points!") for each funny or correct answer.
