Bla Bla Bla

"Bla Bla Bla" is the title of a song written and recorded by Italian DJ Gigi D'Agostino. It was released in May 1999 as the third single from the album, L'Amour Toujours. It reached number 3 in Austria and number 15 in France. This song can also be heard in an added remixed mashup with L'Amour Toujours (I'll Fly With You) in its US radio version.

Background and writing

He described this song as "a piece I wrote thinking of all the people who talk and talk without saying anything". The prominent but nonsensical vocal samples are taken from UK band Stretch's song "Why Did You Do It".

Music video

The song also featured a popular music video in the style of La Linea. The music video shows a man with a floating head and no arms walking toward what appears to be a shark that multiplies itself and can change direction. This style was also used in "The Riddle", another song by Gigi D'Agostino, originally from British singer Nik Kershaw.

Early life

In school, Lamar was a 'quiet kid' with an interest in poetry. He had a particular interest in reading. Literature was his favorite subject and enjoyed creative writing classes.

Rich Homie Quan played baseball for four years, while he attended Atlanta, Georgia's Ronald McNair Sr. High School, and had aspirations to play professionally. As center fielder and leadoff hitter, Quan began playing at the varsity level during his freshman year and earned a scholarship offer from Fort Valley State University. However, Quan decided to focus his interests elsewhere; he began rapping and got a job at a nearby airport. When he lost his job, Quan got involved in illegal activities which included stealing, and that eventually led to him serving 15 months in prison for burglary. "I never saw myself going this far with music. Music was just a hobby at first. I never saw myself being on stage and rocking out shows. After I got out of jail, I started to take it more serious, and that’s when my dream came true.", he said in an interview to XXL. When he got out of jail, he decided he would be shy no more. "I knew this was all I had and I wanted to go hard at it, so that's what I did", he said.

Gigi D'Agostino

Luigino Celestino Di Agostino (born December 17, 1967), better known by his stage name Gigi D'Agostino, or Gigi D'Ag is an Italian DJ, remixer and record producer. In 1986, he started his career as a DJ spinning Italo disco, and released his first mix titled "Psychodelic".

Early life and education

Born in Turin, Italy on December 17, 1967, D'Agostino spent his childhood between his native city of Turin and Brescia, where the Media Records studios are located. As a child, D'Agostino wanted to be someone in the world of disco music. Starting out working as a stonemason and a fitter, he began his musical career as a DJ by organizing parties in clubs. His debut was in a club near Turin called "Woodstock". He worked also in a small club called Palladio in Cascinette d'Ivrea (30 km north from Turin) from 1987 until around 1992 and in a club called Le Palace in the Valentino Castle Garden in Turin. He was a resident DJ of an Italian disco named Ultimo Impero from 1993 to 1998.
