In music, the term note has two primary meanings:
Notes are the "atoms" of much Western music: discretizations of musical phenomena that facilitate performance, comprehension, and analysis.
The term "note" can be used in both generic and specific senses: one might say either "the piece 'Happy Birthday to You' begins with two notes having the same pitch," or "the piece begins with two repetitions of the same note." Two notes with fundamental frequencies in a ratio of any power of two (e.g. half, twice, or four times) are perceived as very similar. Because of that, all notes with these kinds of relations can be grouped under the same pitch class. In traditional music theory pitch classes are represented by the first seven letters of the Latin alphabet (A, B, C, D, E, F and G) (some countries use other names as in the table below). The eighth note, or octave is given the same name as the first, but has double its frequency. The name octave is also used to indicate the span of notes having a frequency ratio of two. To differentiate two notes that have the same pitch class but fall into different octaves, the system of scientific pitch notation combines a letter name with an Arabic numeral designating a specific octave. For example, the now-standard tuning pitch for most Western music, 440 Hz, is named a′ or A4. There are two formal ways to define each note and octave, the Helmholtz system and the Scientific pitch notation.

This was a project I started just 2 days before the anniversary. I managed to double the length from the original 3:21 length. This video touches on only some of the story; there's still a lot left to research, and new details coming out over time.
Note, the music used at the beginning was an obscure horrorcore song or two, that was reported to be jeff's favorite song. The other song is from the game Hatred.

Upgrading Wife's Galaxy Note I I717 to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 from Gingerbread 2.3. Samsung Kies software
Disclaimer: Boring Video which documents me upgrading my wife's software on her Samsung Galaxy Note I I717. This is the ATT/AT&T; model that's unlocked. I am using T-mobile on this phone now. REMEMBER: Backup your photo's/videos/music before doing any firmware upgrade. Samsung Kies says it does a backup, but always be careful. The software upgrade takes about 15-20 minutes. I did encounter some problems while trying to upgrade to Jelly Bean. Problem #1) My battery was at around 49% and it would not allow me to proceed with the firmware upgrade because it said the battery was too low. I charged to about 75-80% and I was later able to upgrade Problem #2) I needed to download the Samsung Kies software. This wasn't too bad. Disclaimer: Boring Video which documents me upgrading my wife's software on her Samsung Galaxy Note I I717. This is the ATT/AT&T; model that's unlocked. I am using T-mobile on this phone now. REMEMBER: Backup your photo's/videos/music before doing any firmware upgrade. Samsung Kies says it does a backup, but always be careful.
The software upgrade takes about 15-20 minutes. I did encounter some problems while trying to upgrade to Jelly Bean.
Problem #1) My battery was at around 49% and it would not allow me to proceed with the firmware upgrade because it said the battery was too low. I charged to about 75-80% and I was later able to upgrade
Problem #2) I needed to download the Samsung Kies software. This wasn't too bad.

I did the upgrade on my custom build windows 7 64-bit machine. Looking back, it wasn't such a hard process... although I thought it would take less than 10 minutes to do, but the whole process including the minor mishaps probably took me about 30 minutes.

*** ALWAYS MANUALLY BACKUP PHOTOS/MOVIES/DATA
1) After upgrading software to Jelly Bean, my phone was still carrier unlocked. YAY.
2) My old apps and settings were still available for the phone
3) I forgot to check if my pictures/music were still there... I am assuming nothing was deleted (but I upgraded from a pretty fresh install of gingerbread).
4) I was never able to compare battery life because I only ran gingerbread for a day. If you want long battery life, I've been told DO NOT upgrade to jelly bean. You should stay with your older gingerbread OS... this supposedly gets the best battery life.
