Having trouble understanding Hebrew? Dr. Mark Futato wrote Beginning Biblical Hebrew (http://lgs.to/1b6MwN3) to help you get started. Achieving the right balance of amount of information, style of presentation, and depth of instruction in first-year grammars is no easy task. But Mark Futato has produced a grammar that, after years of testing in a number of institutions, will please many, with its concise, clear, and well-thought-out presentation of Biblical Hebrew.
Because the teaching of biblical languages is in decline in many seminaries and universities, Futato takes pains to measure the amount of information presented in each chapter in a way that makes the quantity digestible, without sacrificing information that is important to retain. The book includes exercises that are drawn largely from the Hebrew Bible itself.
Professor John D. Currid says, “As a teacher of Hebrew, I have found it to be the best tool available to introduce students to the language.”
Dr. Carl Sanders is well liked by his students for his down-to-earth presentation of Bible doctrine. Students quickly learn that he enjoys talking about theology and has a quick wit. Among his strengths as a lecturer are his ability to distill information to essential elements, as well as his good-natured way of fairly explaining differences in theological positions. Dr. Sanders has a keen interest in urban ministry and has served for many years in racially diverse urban congregations. His interest in local-church experience helps him practice theology in ways that reflect the diversity present in the body of Christ. He strives to make theology interesting and practical.

,This book was written using the Bible as the standard, and is for the novice as well as the seasoned scholar. This work will challenge you on every level. Many of the toughest subjects in theology today are answered Biblically and explained in a manner that anyone can understand. It reveals the mystery around the End Time delusion, how to avoid it and the falling away mentioned in Thessalonians.

(PLEASE WATCH STUDY # 3 "GOD'S TRUE PLAN OF SALVATION" BEFORE WATCHING THIS VIDEO) Pastor Mardoqueu Silva Shows from Scriptures why a growing number of SDA pastors have rejected and/or are back-peddling on a long standing doctrine taught by the founding fathers of the SDA church. In short, they say that 1844 is not important and an investigative judgment is not necessary or biblical.
How is this development possible? The investigative judgment was one of the five cornerstones
of early Adventism! What is causing this “about-face” within the SDA church? In a sentence, I
think a number of SDA pastors are exchanging the prophetic views advocated by the founders of
Adventism for a variant of the doctrine of “eternal security” espoused by numerous theologians
today. In other words, Pauline theology has trumped apocalyptic prophecy.
Maybe there is a simple reason underlying this swing of the pendulum. Many SDA pastors do
not teach or speak on apocalyptic prophecy for the following reasons:
1. Nineteenth century historical explanations on fulfilled prophecy are irrelevant
today. Typically, Adventists are historicists, they believe the books of Daniel and
Revelation have been 95% fulfilled. Other than the healing of the papacy, a little
time of trouble and the seven last plagues, these two books have little value.
2. A number of the historical positions advocated by the founders of Adventism
are grossly inaccurate. Moreover, said fulfillments have no connection with the
specifications given in prophecy. These disconnects render Daniel and Revelation
as unimportant.
3. During the past 150 years, church leaders have not been able to resolve several
elements within Daniel and Revelation so that there is wide agreement among
SDA scholars on key passages. If the dedicated scholars cannot find compelling
explanations for the meaning of prophecy, what is a busy pastor supposed to do?
4. There is no possibility within the framework of Adventism for the church to
exalt any explanation of Daniel and Revelation that runs contrary to the writings
of Ellen White. Church leadership will not permit “speculation.”
Given this list, maybe the pendulum swings toward Pauline theology because pastors simply find
it easier to preach from Paul than “fixing” numerous problems that go with the investigative
judgment.

"Patrick Cheng's Radical Love is an excellent introduction to queer theology. It is readable and nuanced, a marvelous teaching resource." --Carter Heyward, author of Keep Your Courage: A Radical Christian Feminist Speaks and Professor Emerita of Theology, Episcopal Divinity School "Patrick Cheng's Radical Love is not only an excellent introduction to LGBT theology but an important contribution to the discipline of theology and the life of the church. It is a must read for anyone who cares about the health of the church and theology today." --James H. Cone, Charles A. Briggs Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology, Union Theological Seminary, New York, NY "Thoroughly Christian and thoroughly Queer, Cheng helps readers welcome a theology that leaves no one behind." --Chris Glaser, author of As My Own Soul: The Blessing of Same-Gender Marriage and Coming Out as Sacrament "This book is a clear, accessible and exciting analysis of Queer Theology. Cheng perfectly captures both the challenge and the rootedness of Queer Theology." --Elizabeth Stuart, Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of Winchester, UK "I would characterize Cheng's notion of 'radical love' as 'wild grace' with which mainstream theology has yet to wrestle. This is a good text for introducing queer theology to undergraduate and graduate students." --Robert Shore-Goss, Senior Pastor/Theologian, Metropolitan Community Church in the Valley, North Hollywood, CA "Radical Love - a love so extreme that it dissolves our existing boundaries! What concept could be more liberating for a culture like ours, where lives are crucified on rigid binaries like male vs. female, us vs. them, straight vs. queer? Radical Love is an excellent introduction for beginners and an excellent synthesis for more advanced readers." --Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, author of Sensuous Spirituality and Omnigender, among many other books "While queer theory could be highly theoretical and off-putting, Cheng's Radical Love summarizes the contributions of queer theology in the last fifty years in an accessible and readable way." --Kwok Pui-lan, William F. Cole Professor of Theology and Spirituality, Episcopal Divinity School "The struggle now is perhaps to get enough courses in theological colleges and seminaries in which we can use this wonderful book." --Lisa Isherwood, Professor and Director of Theological Partnerships, University of Winchester, UK "Cheng covers a lot of territory and does so with clarity and solid interaction with the literature in the field. I would recommend this volume to anyone wanting a quick take on the various dimensions of Queer Theology." --Jeffrey S. Siker, Professor and Chair, Department of Theological Studies, Loyola Marymount University

Want to learn more about redemption? Atheist-turned-clergyman Alister McGrath explores redemption in his aptly-named book, Redemption. McGrath delves into Scripture, literature, and art to examine what God has to say about redemption, and how we can live in light of that. He also offers a thoroughgoing defense of God’s existence, again drawing not only evidence from Scripture but from the beauty of creation. Redemption vividly explores the divine compassion that led God to sacrifice his only son to save a world oppressed and unable to help itself.
Dr. Steve Runge provides discourse-based commentary on James, featuring custom-designed slides to use in your teaching. Talented designers tailored these infographics to illustrate the key ideas of each passage, and you can export them for use in your own sermons or Bible studies. Study James like never before with Runge’s High Definition Commentary: James.

,This book was written using the Bible as the standard, and is for the novice as well as the seasoned scholar. This work will challenge you on every level. Many of the toughest subjects in theology today are answered Biblically and explained in a manner that anyone can understand. It reveals the mystery around the End Time delusion, how to avoid it and the falling away mentioned in Thessalonians. The author explains how the Great Pyramids, Stonehenge, and other wonders of the world are tied to the Bible and why Jesus is the only way to heaven. You will be shocked, to find out who the false Christ's are and why they are currently hiding. This work points out that there are some minor misconceptions of God's word that will ultimately help with the Delusion and how many well known ministers today are already falling for it as well. Their failing doctrines say that you may be able to get to heaven without Jesus and this shows that they will embrace the antichrist. Jesus told us to pray that we be found worthy to escape these things and the author explains what you must do in order to do just that. God clearly told this author to warn his people so read on if you dare, be forewarned, be armed with the truth and escape these things.
