A straight-to-the-point compilation I made of Snuffy talking about a couple of standout arrangements from The Wonder Years. It was compiled by weaving footage from the complete series DVD bonus features together. The series title and end credit music was taken from the first episode ("Pilot"). The white-room footage is from "A Wonderful Day - Highlights from the Cast Reunion" available on the Season 1 dvd and the complete series.
The end credits theme is a reworked instrumental version of Joe Cockers' cover of The Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends". The Joe Cocker version of the song was also used as the memorable opening theme song throughout the series.

"Fields of Gold" - what a great song Sting wrote! This song has always truly resonated with me. You know? One of those tunes that really tugs at the heartstrings, so to say (not to mention when Eva Cassidy is singing it!!).

William Garrett Walden, known as W. G. Snuffy Walden (born February 13, 1950) is an American musician and composer of film and television soundtracks. Walden is an Emmy Award winner for the theme music to The West Wing (NBC), has been nominated for numerous Emmys throughout his career, and has received 26 BMI Awards.
Early life
Walden was born in Louisiana on February 13, 1950, and raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Lamar High School in Houston in 1967. In college he studied science and math, and he put himself through school working on a late-night radio show at KRBE in Houston and playing guitar in a strip club.
Walden's nickname, Snuffy, derives from the similarly-named Southern snuff manufacturer, Levi Garrett. In episode 1, of a four-hour interview with the Archive of American Television, Walden explains that the nickname began to stick when he was away from home at summer camp, as his career began, fellow musicians preferred it over Garrett. His family and schoolmates address him as Garrett.
